We stumbled upon Plane Jane due to us wanting to stop by the Virgin Hotel first. Because in our city the virgin hotel gets super busy and is super fun. But when we stopped at the Virgin Hotel nobody was there hence why we stopped at Plane Jane. So my girlfriend googled fun Hip-Hop / R&B bars and this place popped up as a suggestion. We were so thankful that we found this place because the bartenders were super friendly. The drinks were reasonably priced, the music was super good. It is a small space but we really liked it since it had enough space for everybody to mingle around. Also it was a waffle cone truck outside that we didn't get to try since it was already closed. Shout Out to Hanna The next time we go to Nashville we will definitely stop by again.

This place is new to Nashville and I just so happened to see it advertised on Instagram, and was curious enough to go see what it was about. The atmosphere was great, music choice was good (I felt like I was screaming at one point to talk due to the music volume), decor, lighting, and overall facility was aesthetically pleasing. It's a whole vibe! A plus to this establishment is that it's black owned. Love to see it! It's definitely a hidden gem that needs to be checked out. They had a list of drink options hung behind the bar for you to choose from, which didn't have your usual drink names. I like different and these were definitely that. The bartender was very knowledgeable and willing to explain each drinks entirety. We ordered the No 3 bourbon banana bitters which was compared to an old fashioned and a No 4 rum toasted coconut pineapple. Both were really good! Due to the limited seating, I suggest getting there when they open at 5pm for you to sit comfortably and actually enjoy the atmosphere and all the goodness this place has to offer. We will definitely be back!

Excited to see a blacked owned bar get it right! I just happened to have some free time on a Wednesday, so I decided to check out Plane Jane since i've heard good things about it. I went around 5:30ish not a big crowd but i was glad because I was able to sit at the bar and not be crowded. The place is super small so i could see it potentially being a headache if you are like me and don't like overly crowded places. While i was there i enjoyed several drinks, the manager/bartender that day had a great personality and provided excellent service! The atmosphere was urban professional, which is a long overdue setting in Nashville. From my experience I highly recommended Plane Jane and hope to see great success with this bar and its owners!!

Great place! Perfect little neighborhood bar for people who are in East and Talbots Corner. Good vibes.

Do not use your card if you want to eat out at this establishment. My card has been charged everyday since I went on Saturday!

Mother's Ruin in Germantown is a great spot for dinner and drinks or a place to stop before going…read moreout. The whipped feta is definitely a must order. It comes with a lot of bread and is so good. Their smashburger is also really good, and the waffle fries are amazing. The drinks are a highlight too. I loved the skinny margaritas, and the frozen blackberry mule was so good. They have a really nice patio that's perfect for hanging out. The only downside is that I feel like they close the patio/space a little early around 10 PM, and after that the inside gets extremely packed and it's hard to move around. The mozzarella sticks were good, but a lot of them were missing cheese, which was disappointing. Overall, still a really fun spot with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out for a casual dinner or drinks before heading out.

Luckily it was walking distance from one of the trolley stops (Farmers Market). We came in on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but we were able find a spot. We started with drinks. We then ordered a falafel sandwich with the waffle fries and a queso dip. The fries and the dip were delicious. The falafel sandwich was also good. The service was quick and we picked up a t-shirt on the way out. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Our waitress was extremely attentive the whole experience. My cocktail and my friend's mocktail were both great. The menu had some wonderful options. It's a fairly big place with a bar, couches, fireplace with a HUGE beautiful fire, cocktail tables, and cozy booths. Dark, candlelight, this place has a vibe! 5 stars for atmosphere for sure! The service was not great, unfortunately. It was just so slow, every step took FOREVER. We would have gotten dessert but the waitress never came back. I finally stood up, put my jacket on, and stood next to our table, as a hint that we were ready for the check. 3/5 stars for service. Now the food. Do you see those fries?? They are some of the most unique fries I've ever had. Crispy AND chewy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Served with bernaise, these alone are worth coming back for! The burger fell flat IMO. My husband liked it better than I did, but it didn't have much flavor. Some might say it needed ketchup, but for me it was more than that. It was a case where it seemed to have all the right ingredients but didn't "pop". It comes out wrapped in paper which is a fun touch, but didn't seem that hot and also was a little soggy, which made me wonder how long it sat before they brought it. We wanted ketchup for the fries too, BTW, but the server never came back to check on us. My husband's NY sour was a little strange. We love different "takes" on classic cocktails, but this one just didn't work. The waitress seemed unsure as to whether they could make this drink, and maybe she was correct. 3.5 stars for cocktails/food. We will definitely come back. My hope is that the burger was just a one-time miss and that next time it will be perfect. We also want to try the smoked fish dip. Such a cool neighborhood spot!

You can check out the calendar to see what they're playing for the night, the ambiance in there is great-definitely a mix of LA & New York. It's a mix crowd which I love. Nashville's lounge revolution continues. We've gotten Nashville's take on Brooklyn, LA and Vegas…read more the back corner is very Miami Beach. When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

The service was pretty well overall everyone that came to our table was pleasant. Our server was Parker and overall she was great, could sense mood shift when we had some questions w our order delay & salad . Our entrees took a bit to come out because of my salad remake. The drinks we ordered were good as well. Kudos to bartender. I'm going to dive right in: duck wings were realllyyyy good no complaints at all!! One of the favorites. Nice sweet sauce. Florida rock shrimp was my fav. Reminds you of a nice shrimp scampi minus the lemon, more garlicky. The bread was good with the sauce. My top fav. Short rib was very tender and good. The asparagus was cooked well too perfect crunch and grill taste. Not a fan of dates but it does add a sweetness if you like. Also came with family style mashed potatoes and they were very good as well. We also order the green beans , heavy lemon profile. zucchini fritters surprised me. Not in a bad way, I wasn't expecting a ball so the zucchini was like chopped up inside w/ another mixed. No much described on the menu. sausage cheddar biscuits were pretty over powering with the sausage , I enjoyed the sauce on the plate with it. High pork flavor, biscuits were soft & moist. chopped salad was very copped. It had peppers, radish, mushrooms , cucumbers & cheese and a lot of the chopped items are not listed on the menu, had to send back for a less chopped. I felt it was more chopped items than lettuce. The new salad was great & presentation is nice on how it comes out. Lettuce also wasn't the freshest but it was fine.
