My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night and it was empty - which was not surprising. They do not have any food, but there is a food truck outside if needed. They do have a good list of drinks. I got a 'Painkiller' and I don't remember what my friend got but she enjoyed it. The website is not updated either - I don't see most of the drinks on there. The place is very spacious and colorful, with lots of fun Tiki mugs! I don't think it was the best tiki bar that I've ever been to, but it was nice. The service was quick, but I wouldn't say friendly... just seemed kind of blah; at least on the day I was there. I would give it a 3.5 if I could.

A tiki bar in Nashville? Yeah, but not on Broadway. You will need to make a bit of a trek to get here and it might be worthwhile just to get out of the chaos. I was part of a very large group here. Great service. Funky robot above the bar. Somehow still a great tiki feel to it. They did have some food out but I was so distracted by the drinks I completely missed it before it was time to leave!

This is such a fun bar, with its Tiki themed drinks and beachy vibes. I've been to Chopper a few times, and normally, the drinks are too strong for me. This last time, I asked for a recommendation, and the bartender pointed me to the Hawaiian Sunset. It was amazing, and I'll definitely be getting it again. If you're ever in East Nashville, you should check this place out.

Fun place. It's robots invading a tiki bar. Friendly service and a HUGE array of liquors & drink choices. I had a cognac on the rocks but others with me had mixed drinks. It's a nice place to kick back & enjoy a couple. Food truck is outside the door too!

We got food from the Maiz de la Vida food truck and were able to eat inside. They also have a lot of non-alcoholic options which is great. The ambiance is super cool, and love the robot tiki vibes. Service is always friendly, and will become added to our rotation!

This was my second time coming here, mostly thanks to the awesome food truck parked outside! I'm a big fan of the tiki bar scene, but can I truly call this a tiki bar? I'm not sure. They definitely have tiki drinks many served in tiki mugs but the overall vibe leans more toward a sci-fi theme with robots and futuristic décor. The place itself is spacious, with plenty of seating both at the bar and in the surrounding booths. There's also outdoor seating available. I really appreciate that they have wait staff walking around, so you don't have to order directly at the bar. The bartenders and staff are super friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable. The drinks are strong and well-made. Parking, however, can be a real hassle depending on what time you come. If you're in the area and looking for a unique spot with decent drinks and amazing tacos (thanks to the food truck outside), I definitely recommend stopping by!

Beck is killing it with drinks! Keeping the tradition of great CHOPPER drinks alive. He is creative and cares! Hope he stays for a long time at this bar. Bar always treats our friend group with great care and consideration. Somehow keeps the tabs straight. Great service

I wish I could say that one experience doesn't ruin all past visits, but in this case it unfortunately does. I come to Chopper quite frequently but my most recent experience was one of the worst, and I'm not sure I'll be back. I expect busy nights to be a little slower service wise but everything about this experience was sub par. We were ignored for almost 30 minutes before being able to order another round. People came up and got service before us, bartenders passed us until finally we got someone's attention. When we finally got attention, we ordered our last round, closed out and the bartender just forgot about my drink. It was a canned beer mind you, but to pay for it, and then have to ask 10 minutes later what I ordered really sealed the deal for me. The presentation of the drinks left much to be desired as well. If I'm paying on average $15 a cocktail, I want my little garnishes. Sue me. Overall, I'm disappointed in the service and unfortunately won't be coming back for a while. This was a go-to stop for me and I would bring people from out of town here. I hope this was just a bad night and not the new normal. If you're in the market for tiki drinks and fun atmosphere with better service, luckily Nashville has a few to choose from.

I should start out saying that I am a huge fan of Tiki bars. I try to visit atleast 1 Tiki bar every time I visit a new city, and my favorites are always the super traditional. This one is definitely not that. I will say that - that's ok! This is not the first time I have visited a Tiki that was a play on the traditional theming. I will say that this one is AWFULLY FUN! I do recommend checking this spot out. The drinks are the norm, which I appreciate! Just be sure to check out the giant robot over the bar!

Chopper was a chill tiki bar. It's not as immersive as some other tiki spots I've frequented around the country but it has a nice selection of tiki drinks and decor. My friend and I each had a mocktail served in a large glass. We just wanted something refreshing on a hot day. We sat at the bar. Service was fine. The bartenders were not overly friendly but straight forward. A pretty chill spot if you want to hang out with friends or solo. It's also pretty large with plenty of booth seating as well.

We came 2 nights in a row to the tiki Christmas bar. If Sunday had been our first visit, we might not have ever come back, but since our first visit was on Saturday and it went much more smoothly, we definitely liked it. The Saturday night bartender was attentive and very good whereas the Sunday night bartender was too busy talking and took forever to be acknowledged. It took 25 minutes to get a drink and only because the host guy finally came up and helped us. If you are busy you should at least acknowledge someone's presence and say you will be with them ASAP. All of the holiday mugs were super cute and the drinks were great!! . The lighting on Saturday was good but on Sunday it's like they changed everything to blue and purple and you could not take any pictures it was so dark. The server on Sunday told me they don't have lemon juice so she couldn't make the Robo zombie as if that even makes a difference! Just put lime juice in it and move along. The drink was great and I didn't taste the lime juice at all so it made no difference. The Mexican food truck outside is very good!!! I loved the huge robot over the bar on the ceiling and that they had comfortable bar seating. The tiki cup collections were cool to see.

Patio outside of Chopper with robotic Mid-Century modern vibes.

Chopper - A Tiki Bar with a Futuristic Punch If you're in Nashville and looking for a bar that goes *way* beyond the ordinary, *Chopper* is an absolute must-stop. This isn't just a tiki bar--it's a genre-bending, robot-fueled tropical escape that's equal parts retro-futuristic and island getaway. The first thing you'll notice when you walk in is the *atmosphere*. Chopper doesn't just do tiki--it *reinvents* it. Think Polynesian paradise meets sci-fi comic book. Neon lights, robot decor, and custom artwork create an immersive vibe that feels like you've stepped into a tropical cantina on another planet. It's weird, wonderful, and completely unique. But the real magic is in the **drinks**. Chopper's cocktail program is a masterclass in creativity and flavor. Each drink is beautifully balanced, often surprising, and always delicious. Whether you're sipping on a rum-forward classic with a twist or one of their signature concoctions served in wild custom mugs, the menu delivers on both craft and character. And yes, there are robots on the mugs. It's glorious. Service is consistently great, and the crowd is a fun mix of locals and visitors, all vibing to the same beat of laid-back cool. In a city packed with music and Southern charm, *Chopper* stands out by blasting tiki tradition into the future. It's fun, it's funky, and it's one of the best drinking experiences Nashville has to offer. Don't miss it.

Perfect Tiki drinks actually made with fresh squeezed juices. Beautifully garnished. Sat at the bar and got great service even when they were very busy. Plus the new bartender is hot. Taco truck outside makes really good flour tortillas, tried quesodilla and burrito, both great, and elote off the cob was impeccable.

Wanna come but also want food.. when does the taco truck start serving?

5pm

Do you get to keep the tiki mugs?

Only if you buy them. A well-made tiki cocktail mug is an expensive item to buy anywhere.

Is Chopper kid friendly?

In the evening it is definitely not kid-friendly, they ID at the door. I would recommend calling ahead, I would assume not though!

Not a lot of seating inside, but plenty outside. I suggest getting there early especially during the cold months. There are heaters on the patio in case you aren't seated inside. I do not recommend the pierogis. They were hot on the outside but somewhat cold on the inside and lacked flavor. You can tell these aren't something that's made in house. More like a heat up and serve. I would definitely just stick to ordering drinks here. They do have a Photo Booth, so be sure to document the good time you and your people have here. It's a vibe for sure.

We had hoped this visit would be different. We entered and stood at the front host stand for approximately 2-3 minutes with no host present. Unsure how seating worked, I walked to the bar to ask for assistance and was immediately yelled at by the bartender for my ID. As I retrieved it from my wallet, the bartender walked away. While I was still holding my ID out, a second bartender asked what I needed. I asked if there was a host, and was told "no." When I responded asking how seating worked, I was told to "find a seat." At that time, all visible seats were full. I walked back to the entrance to explain the situation to my wife. We re-entered and asked a group who were occupying only half of a larger seating area whether the remaining space was available. Their response was that they believed others were coming later. I then attempted to walk past the bar to see if there might be additional seating in the back, and was again yelled at by the bartender demanding my ID -- despite having just presented it moments earlier. The lack of organization, combined with repeated confrontational interactions from staff, made what should have been a pleasant evening uncomfortable and unwelcoming -- particularly disappointing given that this was our third effort to give the establishment another chance.

There are drinks that are refreshing/lighter and ones that are more spirit-centered. They also have small bites that are really excellent pairs to the drinks. 2 - It is very small. So if you feel like you'll land on a spot because someone popped in and just left, you might be out of luck. We were able to be seated because we came a little earlier, and I believe someone at the bar left earlier than anticipated. 3 - It's quite dark/moody. If you have a person who's weirded out by spaces like this, go somewhere else. If you can't read the menu in the darker/lower lit spaces, bring out your phone's flashlight. One thing that's GREAT about the menu is that they have it in contrasting colors (ie light paper and black ink) and the font is large. There was a spot that I went to recently where the lighting was very low and they used a dark tan font on manila colored paper. If the lighting was normal, it wouldn't have been a problem ... but in lower light, the lack of contrast was not helpful! 4 - The staff is really great. I know that I mentioned it before, but if you've ever been to places like The Aviary in Chicago or places like this, you'll feel that this is right in the same lane.

We were in town for a friend's birthday and she wanted to visit the bars at a more calmer time. We ended up visiting on a Sunday afternoon and it is so much more relaxing than Saturday. AJ's has 3 different bars but we decided to stay at the rooftop bar because the weather was nice and it is a good place to people watch. We did stop at the bottom floor for a few minutes and watch some live music and it's surprisingly more spacious than I thought. We all had a drink and a shot which was a pretty penny but none of us were surprised about it. I mainly just stuck with beer which tends to be a cheaper option. His drink was a full size drink and soooooo much better than the apple pie shot! The aftertaste of the shot was horrible. I wandered upstairs to find the restroom and came upon the karaoke bar. FYI: because this is t posted anywhere and no warning given --- watch your receipt! It was too late for me! I noticed after the fact a 4% non-cash adjustment (cc fee!) as well as 10.25% sales tax (DAMN!) and a 15% liquor tax! Explain to me why each bar all on Broadway have these different bullshit fees? Needless to say -- we still had a great time with the band in the main floor!
