This is a fun bar with great ambience; however, the bar food is not it. It's all packaged in these plastic containers, which is alright. I love bar food, and when you compare it to places like the Fox Cocktail Club, it doesn't really compare. My drinks were phenomenal; the bartenders care about what they're doing and love what they do. So it was very cool letting them make me a drink of their choice and quite fun. Highly recommend the drinks, but maybe shy away from the food. read more

Came in looking for a good non-alcoholic option and was pleasantly surprised by the mocktail selection. The drink I ordered was super refreshing and well-balanced -- not overly sweet like a lot of mocktails tend to be. You could actually taste the different ingredients instead of it just being juice in a fancy glass. Presentation was also on point. It came garnished nicely and honestly looked just as good as any cocktail on the menu. I appreciated that they clearly put some thought into their non-alcoholic drinks instead of treating them like an afterthought. Nice vibes but the cocktails were really just okay, especially for the price. We were staying at the Joseph and had some credits to spend but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this bar. My bf got the what's up doc (carrot based drink) and the bartender had a really difficult time with the carrot garnish which put him behind. We felt so bad but it was a bit awkward to watch him go through 2 carrots for our garnish. I do appreciated them making all the drinks fresh and chopping up the ingredients in front of us but I would recommend them prepping enough ingredients so they wouldn't have to slice and chop fruits/veggies as it really delays the service for other guests. Perhaps they could get a nice mandolin slicer for the bartender if they're expected to cut it in front of guests. read more

This hidden speakeasy was down a hidden elevator and down a dark hallway to a dark cozy bar. The menu is definitely unique we had the special The Gondola, A Violet Beauregard, and a Gin with house made tonic (watermelon lemongrass). The bartenders were pleasant but the main bartender was very focused on conversations with the other bartenders instead of the guest. The drinks were not for my taste but if you like unique and adventurous cocktails definitely try this out. I recommend everyone at least experiencing this place one. Very cool vibe. This is such a cute little bar in downtown. Once you enter the Joseph hotel You have to take a specific elevator from the lobby to get you to the bar. It's very small, intimate, perfect for a date night (heads up they only have alcohol) there's like 3 food items on their menu but they are overpriced snacks and not substantial. Anyway back to the cocktails: AMAZING. This is true mixology where the server will take his time to perfect the perfect mix. They even brand the ice cube with a 4 walls emblem. i don't normally write reviews. Let me say this was worth the stop! It has a divebar/speak easy vibe. i like a variety drinks, But usually stay to bourbon and beer. We ran into the Mixologist, Lawson! Friendly and knowledgeable! i ended up trying his drinks from his designed menu! Out of the five or six i had, only one was out of my taste range! No problem! You access the elevator in lobby with a wiggly line symbol to go to the 2nd floor. I recommend booking a reservation if on a weekend or busy holiday. The interior was very moody and dark. It's a very small space. We asked to sit at the bar and were told no, it's reserved. I asked how do you reserve the bar specifically since I made reservations and that wasn't an option, but she wouldn't say. There were about 6 empty bar seats at that time. I found it weird and felt awkward with the interaction. Maybe it's on me - maybe I did something wrong or didn't do something I was supposed to. I have no idea - I don't usually go to places such as this. We had to wait a bit for a menu. Once we ordered our drinks the hostess came back and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar since a reservation had cancelled. So we moved. Again, just a bit weird. I appreciated her asking us though. The bartenders were very no nonsense. Kinda stern and expected you to know your stuff...cause I asked if I could order off menu and for them to just make me something sweet and tropical but he just told me to try one off the menu that was a dessert drink. We must have different opinions on sweet but it was ok. We left after 2 drinks. I probably wouldn't come back here, but I think if you're into speakeasy's and know the etiquette that I clearly lack, you will enjoy this place. read more

The cocktails look pretty but that's all you'll get, Nashville has so many other amazing bars- i highly recommend you going elsewhere. Wow... I was shocked to see negative reviews on here, as I had an experience last night that was nothing short of exceptional. Looks like those are all from right around the business opening, so kudos to them for getting the kinks worked out. These cocktails are exceptional. The love and care that goes into every drink is evident - they take a while to make because they are truly handcrafted. Many places in Nashville nowadays are charging $16-$18 for a cocktail - this is one of the few spots that the cost is absolutely worth the experience for the drink. Mickey, the bar manager, was extremely knowledgeable and happy to speak with us and answer our many questions. If we had one complaint, the space was a bit messy (citrus on boxes behind the bar, etc) but they had just opened and it of course didn't impact our experience at all, just a piece of feedback. The Emerald City is the best cocktail I've had this year, full stop. Check them out. read more

The cocktails themselves ranged from pretty good (the Moth to a Flame and my friend's espresso martini) to absolutely disgusting (the Fistful of Dollars, which featured a truffle salt rim that overpowered ever other flavor). As hotel guest I did not know this bar existed. We were told to try it by the bartender in the downstairs restaurant. It is not even listed on the hotel's website. Small space, very dark beautiful interior. A little ridiculous on a Thursday night there was only the bartender working. Service lacked but he was doing his best handling the bar and tables. I really waffled between 2 and 3 stars. The cocktail presentation is beautiful, loved the ambiance. The drinks leave a lot to be desired. The glass is literally packed and overflowing with ice. 3 sips and I finished the drink. If I removed the ice I doubt the glass was a quarter full. Not sure if I would return, Nashville has so much more to offer. read more

So disappointing. As GMs in this industry, we lean on hospitality to separate our locations from the rest of Broadway since we don't have the volume to match their sales. Not only did the bartender display an absolute lack of desire to serve us, but the manager made it abundantly clear that our presence wasn't welcome as he was seemingly upset that we had a reservation. To Four Walls ownership: if you're plan is to open a cocktail lounge as beautiful as what you did, please bring on the staffing appropriate to facilitate your guests' needs. Not only did we hear the bartender say "Can you lock the door," we also informed the guests behind us in a full elevator that they didn't need to feel disrespected as we did. Regardless of industry or not, the most important thing in hospitality is just that, hospitality. You fell short tonight. We got a reservation for after dinner drinks last night (Thursday). The reservation was at 10:30. As soon as we got off the elevator we could smell a strong pungent sewage odor. As we approached the check in desk we asked about it and the hostess acknowledged it and said they were working on it. We decided to sit down but it was really bad and decided to leave. This is the best service I have ever had in Nashville. I came opening weekend while they were busy and missed my reservation (thank you Nashville traffic). The manager immediately greeted me with a glass of water and invited me into the beautiful but full bar. As I waited for my seat, I was offered by every single staff member to go over the menu, and they made sure I was given a drink and food. My experience here this night was not that. Not a great experience at all!!! We went to Nashville for my birthday/vacation. My husband picked The Four Walls for our last night there because he thought it would be a nice top off to a perfect time in Nashville, Boy was he wrong. Our bartender, Ricky, I think that was his name because someone behind me asked his name and I'm pretty sure he said Ricky. Anyhoo, he was a terrible bartender and I say this because the drinks tasted more like syrup with a hint of alcohol. They were not mixed well at all. Very overpowering. He was not welcoming at all. Nor did I feel welcomed. Before we came we had a reservation because my husband made sure to make it even before we got to Nashville. When we got there we checked in at reception and he brought us in to seat us at the bar. which is very tight by the way. He was going to sit us in the middle of the bar but I didn't want to sit there because I have pain in the legs and sometimes have to stand up. Anyway, we asked the receptionist if we could sit on the end and he said yes, no problem. We sat and were getting comfortable when "Ricky" asked if we could move where the other guy just tried to sit us because someone had a reservation already for our seats, 5 and 6? (What?? At the bar??) So I kindly told him that we had reservations also and he started to get aggressive, like actually backed up like he was ready for an argument, (we're black and Ricky is white) and I guess he thinks everybody black is ready to argue. Anyway, after I told him we had reservations too he said, FOR 5 AND 6?!? When u make a reservation there, on the website there is NO option to pick your seats, so I had no idea what he was talking about and he didn't explain. My husband said, no, we're going to stay here. He gave us our drinks and proceeded to keep talking about it with the waitress, he also said something to the guy that checked us, who had no problem with us sitting there. I heard them because I was sitting where I was sitting. And no I didn't tell him why I needed to sit where we were sitting because I shouldn't have to give someone my medical history to sit where are no assigned seats!! It just put a bad taste in my mouth and didn't enjoy my time there after that at all. And of course didn't feel welcomed. We left after one drink! read more
