Sadly there aren't many locations in Central Virginia or the Tidewater area - yet. But today had my shot - this one at Naval Station Norfolk. This location is in the food court area and has shared seating with several other places. Today, although busy, there were seats. As for service and food: The staff we spoke to were all nice. No problem at all. I will say, that from the time of my order was placed and the time my meals were given out seemed a bit long. It might have been 12-13 minutes. In my opinion, a bit long for fast food. The other thing that was a challenge was no drink refills. The tea and soda machines are behind the counter. This was a problem since, again, we sat for some time waiting for our food. Maybe they would have filled up our cups as we left, if we asked, but the lines were crazy. So absolutely not an option. No I don't know if all locations are like this but know this location is. Our meals were all hot and seemed freshly cooked. Not like it sat under a heat lamp. Had a real decent flavor. So overall a decent experience. I will try another location sooner or later and I'm sure will visit this location again. So give this place a shot if in the area.

I chose the Becca Burger, without mushrooms and their Steak Diablo Fries. They make everything fresh, to order with fresh ingredients. The burger was clearly freshly hand-packed, the jalapeños were freshly sliced, not pickled. Since they make it all fresh, you might wait a few minutes longer than the typical burger joint, but that's fine considering the amazing eats you're about to enjoy. My burger came out looking beautiful and it was definitely sitting tall! The flavor was excellent! Meat was great too!! I definitely liked having their chipotle mayo on it!! Those steak Diablo fries were incredibly tasty, with a nice kick, but sooo much more flavor than heat! The fries themselves were great, perfectly crispy and tasty, but adding all those toppings truly made it special! Service was nice... I had a few questions and she was helpful with the answers. Lastly, they have birch beer here, which I loved! Highly recommend stopping in for a great burger and fries experience!!

Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different. There were only two people waiting for food when we arrived, and after ordering, we waited over an hour without receiving our food. We finally had to inquire about our order, and a few minutes later it was ready. Sadly, the food wasn't nearly as good as it was during our last visit. Between the long wait and the disappointing food, we all ended up eating about half of our meals and tossing the rest. It's disappointing because we had such a great experience here just a few months ago. Based on today's experience, we would not recommend this place. Hopefully this was just an off day, but unfortunately, it was not the experience we had hoped for.

What a surprise!…read more We had a quick bite here before going to the Chartway Arena for a show and my husband wanted something for lunch. It was packed, probably with people doing what we were doing, but there were several seats at the bar so we snagged three and were greeted pretty quickly by a very friendly waitress. She made recommendations at my husband's request and suggested the special which was two hotdogs with topping of your choice, half order of fries or tots and a drink. He went with that and we ordered a single cheeseburger for our toddler. Food was out quickly - probably less than 10 minutes and the burgers and fries were piping hot and very good. My husband was pleased. Their menu is much larger than I expected with tons of burgers, sandwiches, some salads and other things. Our waitress and a few others checked on us while we ate to ensure we didn't need anything. Very good service. I think we will definitely come back.

In 2023, they closed their original location of Shore Drive and set sights on a new local which was expanded. They have finally reopened and we got a chance to stop in to see how they were doing. Let's check it out shall we? We were seated a minute after walking in. There were a few people dining inside on this cloudy day. The decor is nice resembling a type of restaurant you may see in New Orleans. Right when I was looking through the menu, I ran into Chef Moe who greeted me with a handshake. It has been years since we last saw each other but the vibes came right back since Sophia and I were long-standing customers. We couldn't talk long since he was busy, but it was great to run into him again smiling from ear to ear seeing me there. Great people indeed. How was the food you might ask? Pretty damn good. We both ordered their fried catfish meals with sides (mine came with fries and sweet cornbread and Sophia's with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac-and-cheese). The fish was seasoned perfectly and was huge. It was big enough to cover a football field (just kidding). The fries, as always, tasted great and the cornbread was delish. The both of us ended up taking home leftovers where the food didn't lose any taste from before. It was so refreshing to stop by after so many years. And it was wonderful seeing Chef Moe continue to bring good vibes to the Norfolk community through his cooking. You know we'll be back soon. Till next time :)

The food is solid, but pricing transparency and service need serious improvement…read more While the quality of the food was enjoyable, the pricing is inconsistent and misleading. During my visit, side orders verbally advertised at $4 as an add-on were billed individually as $8 total. Additionally, an order for a pupusa plate was modified to individual pupusas without adjusting the charge, resulting in being overbilled. When I raised these discrepancies, staff insisted the order was correct rather than rectifying the miscommunication. I strongly advise double-checking your itemized receipt (if they give you one) before paying. Due to the unreliable pricing and unhelpful customer service, I will not be returning, being a customer since 2023 this is really disappointing!
