Nice and cosy location during winter time. Been here a few times when i was living in Canada, the staff is friendly, attentive and greets you with a smile. Love the lattes and matcha.

This is what their coffee actually looks like.. the service was dismal and depressed. There was nobody else in line and this was my first time visiting. Some people had patterns in their coffee and others did not. So I guess good service only depends on the baristas mood for the day

I'm a new fan of Waves Coffee because I've gotten to know the environment and one of the managers at the Edmonds location. I go there for coffee often now because it's convenient for myself and customers at Edmonds and Kingsway. They have many options similar to Starbucks and the prices are comparable. The service is a little bit different because at this location the manager is there pretty much 7 days a week and I've gotten to know Vince pretty well. He's a good guy and really cares about his business and his customers. Most importantly, the environment is pretty good, with a lounge and leather seats and a widescreen plasma TV, and there's the main area with regular wooden tables plus a nice patio outside with an open area near a small water fountain beside the Burnaby Public Library. And the coffee simply rocks!

The staff are super excited. The location is very local. Love the huge outdoor seating. Their muffins are great. The prices are very reasonable.

Really loved my white chocolate mocha. The Belgium chocolate was also really yum. The servers seemed to be a little lost though.

Such a gem in New West!…read more My partner and I just went here for coffee today and he ordered a cappuccino, while I got myself a matcha latte. Both drinks were made exceptionally well; impressively smooth, foamy, balanced, and clearly prepared with care rather than just being an afterthought. What really makes this place special is the atmosphere. The vibe feels genuinely inclusive and community-driven, with thoughtful touches like the pop-up bookstore featuring books on race, gender, and queer authors. It feels like a space built for connection, not just coffee. I also love how it transforms depending on the day. The daytime café energy is cozy and welcoming, while on select nights they stay open longer, serve alcohol, and host regular events like DJ nights, board game nights, and other community gatherings. It gives the space a lot of personality and makes it feel alive beyond the usual coffee shop experience. Definitely one of those places that feels more like a neighborhood hub than just a café. I'll be visiting a lot more soon!

The matcha taste was not too strong and not the umami matcha but still good nonetheless. I got it with oat milk instead and there wasn't an up charge. It doesn't come with sweetener and u can taste the matcha without it much more but I added 2 pumps of sugar and found that it increased the oat milk taste too much. I would recommend 1-1.5 pumps of liquid sugar (the barista helped me put it in so just ask!). The inside of the cafe was quite cute and they even had a little clothing rack selling second hand items like clothes and shoes! The space is quite big and spacious and has seating at the back as well and washrooms.

Their coffee continues to be excellent, with a wide variety of options that don't compromise on taste. A great spot to relax or catch up with a friend. For drinks they have multiple types of hot chocolates and an array of non-coffee beverages - maybe I have found my new spot... We ordered a Pumpkin Chai Latte and a Pumpkin Spice Belgian Hot Chocolate and a Macadamia Marble Cookie. I like that for their hot chocolate you get to choose if it's milk or dark, I opted for dark. We found a table and I do appreciate the table signs that say to limit your visit to one hour. Honestly, more places should do this to stop people from treating a cafe like their living room or a library. I do feel like Delicia is on the overpriced side for what it serves. The latte was almost $7 and the hot chocolate was $8. I don't think that the drinks aren't worth it, it feels like mixed powder and nothing note worthy. When a menu is too big, it makes me question what is actually good, because even for a small cafe, you can't do everything good. To top it off, our cookie had a hair on the plate, very unappetizing. I don't think that I'll be back.

It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). I personally enjoy my matcha unsweetened so I loved that this one was served without sweeteners, and the matcha is lighter bodied with earthy flavours. The Japanese latte is made with coffee beans from Japan, and I'm not a coffee drinker usually so I can't comment much other than the fact it tasted mellow but had depth. The mochi muffins were not too sweet and deliciously chewy! I'd love to come back to try their hojicha latte!
