Super cute and quaint inside. Food was delicious, good portions. Services was good, didn't check back until we were almost done, but we can't complain, everything g was delicious:)

This is a tough review, the employees are wonderful, but the wait times for food are astonishing. A lady ahead of us waited 40 mins for two orders of oatmeal to go. The food was good, but, the delays to eat are crazy. The seating is also very odd and painfully congested. They've tried to shoehorn in every body they could fit and the result is quite uncomfortable. We went on a Monday, in the fall, and it was still packed and slow. If you order take out in advance, they might be a good option but otherwise your experience will probably be negative.

Love this little place in the heart of Boothbay, the breakfast was a large portion of homemade deliciousness served hot and flavorful. The hash was to die for.

Came to visit Boothbay Harbor for the Clambake, and was looking for the best breakfast place in town as it was the only morning I'd be having breakfast here. Waves opens at 8 am (most of the restaurants open later in the morning, not many early options), and there was a line when we showed up at about 7:40. Luckily we were third in line and got a front window booth, not that there's much of a view, but it's nice to watch the town. We sat wherever we wanted, and Cody came by to offer coffee and drinks orders pretty quickly (which was so needed). My friend ordered an egg white omelette with tomatoes, spinach, jalapeños, and cheese, with corned beef hash, but they forgot the cheese (still charged $2 for it). I opted for the egg + cheese sandwich with a side of french toast. They have real maple syrup available which was really appreciated because fake syrup is a no-go. EGG WHITE OMELETTE: 5/5 EGG + CHEESE SANDWICH: 5/5 FRENCH TOAST: 5/5 We were in and out within about 35 minutes, and we were both delighted with the food quality. Cody was great although busy. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're in town. Just be prepared for there to be a line. Ambience: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Waves: 5/5

Waves is my go to breakfast spot in town!! Great food at great prices.. can be hard to get in to at peak times and the booths are tight but it's worth the squeeze and take note if your a phone nerd like me make darn sure you set up front by the windows if you want to get phone signal..lol service is always great!!

Crazing around Boothbay Harbor and stopped in for breakfast. I ordered fresh delicious coffee and their spinach eggs Benedict. The service is great and the food came out quickly! Very clean and absolutely the smallest bathroom! That's ok.. I laughed!

8 oz. Pineapple Juice. REFRESHING!

We were first in line when the doors opened at 8am last Sunday morning. It was a good thing, because seating was immediately filled to capacity with a line leftover out front. We had plenty of time to peruse the menu that was posted outside and ordered immediately. We started with 2 Pineapple juices ($10). My girlfriend chose the 2 Buttermilk Pancakes with Bacon ($10) and added Blueberries for $2. I went with the Pastrami Waves Benedict for $13. Served up HOT and FAST, everything tasted SCRUMPTIOUS. It was a good way to fuel up for our day! Service was polite and efficient.

Great, quick breakfast across from our hotel in downtown Boothbay Harbor. I got the eggs benedict which was good but the breakfast potatoes were awesome. They were like twice fried and despite looking almost undercooked they were super crispy. They were delicious. Prices are super good for the area and our server was serving the whole restaurant (5-10 tables) and doing a good job while being super busy. Definitely a good choice for a no frills breakfast option.

Super cute place right "downtown"! Very small, so get there early :) The pancakes were giant and good. Service was kind and quick. I'd definitely go back when we visit again.

Wanted a filling brunch before a day of walking around Boothbay, we settled on this place based on food photos posted here on Yelp! Didn't realize that unlike so many other places, there's no outdoor seating or view of any kind. It's a small room with cramped wooden booths and a low ceiling that makes it feel like you're eating in the mess hall of a pirate ship hull. Get ready to get intimate with your dining mate and those around you (also, the ventilation isn't great, so your clothes and hair will smell strongly when you leave). That being said, this place turns people over quite quickly! From what I can tell, people aren't really coming here to hang out or converse. They come, they eat, they leave. This is gonna sound weird, but my dining mate and I were the only ones chatting before we realized literally no one else was (and we were being stared at). So we shut-up and sat quietly while we ate. Our food came out unbelievably fast: big portions for cheap prices. I think my benedict, his omelet, and our two coffees came to $24. The food itself was fine - it hit the spot, and we super appreciated that there was sriracha on standby! Unfortunately, the staff wasn't the friendliest; but our interactions with them were pretty limited to being seated, getting coffee, food being dropped off, bill being dropped off, the end. Would I come back here? I mean, the food is good and the atmosphere *is* unique, so probably!

Therefore if you ever make to to booth bay harbor, blue moon is where you need to go!! Now be where they do breakfast brunch and lunch. They close like at 2pm. So get there before. The view of the harbor is amazing and you get excited about that. Then you order and some of the most fresh, deliciously consistent and perfect portion food comes out of the this little piece of heaven!! You order before you sit, space is limited yet so worth the wait. We went and sat in the back garden the first time which is cute but you miss the harbor view. The second time we got there before the opened so we were first in line. We sat outside on the harbor side. Picture perfect. But let's talk about the most important food. Blueberry pancakes with real Canadian maple syrup. I am ruined for life there will never be another blueberry pancake quite like it!! Then wait for it...crab omelette. Now you know I live my omelets and we make some good one in Cali. Well Blue Moon gets a Cali approval from me. Just enough crab meat not stingy and did I say how fresh this crab was!!! I love my Cali food for the freshness. Not all places in Maine had the freshness but Blue Moon had the freshness. A plus plus plus!!

We had a wonderful dining experience here and recommend this restaurant highly. All of the food we…read moreordered was very tasty, our server couldn't have been better (thanks Calli) and the atmosphere and vibe was perfect for an evening at the harbor. Let's quickly get down to the good specifics. The raw oyster appetizer was just right for us: fresh, briny, large oysters (mere points, $36). The lobster bisque was thick, lots of lobster pieces ($12). The clam chowder not quite heavy enough for our preference but good and filled with of clams. Our added bonus was the yummy spinach and artichoke dip ($17). The 1 1/2 pound lobster for dinner ($39) was delicious; tasted as if hauled aboard only a few hours ago. Add in a plate of fried scallops ($34) and a Thai crunch bowl ($19) and we were thoroughly and completely satisfied. Oh yeah, a few good beers, too. Calli kept our drinks refilled and was a constant model of efficiency and good humor. The restaurant has a patio and pretty open dining inside right on the harbor. Conversation is lively but never overwhelming perhaps because it is open. We made a reservation which we'd recommend. In summer it obviously gets very busy. As it should be.

We ordered the lobster bisque , haddock bites, I had a sandwich, the fish tacos, and the fried clam bellies. The lobster bisque was OK not the best I've ever had. The haddock bites were fried crispy and very tender. The taco dish had two tacos with maybe chipotle mayo, but not very spicy quite good. The fried clams were amazing. They could have given us more of them, but they were very tender and large not just a little strips but the whole clam. They had a sandwich was Massive. There was a choice between blackened, fried or grilled, and my dining companion got the blackened. She said it was quite good. It is a real piece of fish. It came with fries as did all of the dinners. The fries were double fried and crispy. I thought it was a good meal.

Some local friends said there's a new executive chef and that the food at Coastal Prime has…read moreimproved. unfortunately, I did not experience this to be the case - as I thought the food was outstanding the last time I dined here and our dinner was good but not amazing and there were a few issues. Maybe because their reviews have indicated poor service, we experienced over-service: the floor manager checked in with us three times to see how we were doing in a rather obsequious manner which was very off-putting. Our very friendly server checked in with us 15 times (!) so much so that it was a bit irritating as she kept interrupting our conversation. I think that's about 7-8 times too many check-ins over the course of a 1.5 hour dinner. Now to the food which was all VERY expensive: - popover and butter (complementary) - 4/5 - clam chowder - 3/5, $13 for a cup of chowder is a LOT to pay and while i did enjoy the flavor overall, there was an addition (not mentioned in the chowder description) of a swirl of chili oil on the side of the chowder. I did not mix it into the chowder and realized later when I had a burning sensation across the middle of my tongue that it likely from a line of chili oil. This was not a pleasant sensation and for a while I wondered if I was having an allergic reaction to the chowder. It subsided after about half an hour. I'm not sure why adding chili oil to New England clam chowder is a good thing and it also wasn't listed as an ingredient on the menu. If there had been no chili oil, I would have given the chowder a 5/5 for flavor. - 2025 Claw Down Winner Lobster Bite - 4/5, $18 is a LOT to pay for a tiny silver dollar pancake with some creme and a few bites of lobster on top. Maybe it's the caviar that drives that price but I did not think it was worth the cost (but it did meet my goal of having lobster every day in Maine) - goat cheese and peach salad - 5/5, I loved the tiny little fried goat cheese balls and the ratio of goat cheese to spring lettuce to peaches was good with a light dressing. I would have liked a little more greens and a little less radicchio in the spring lettuce ratio though. - halibut - 4/5, it was a sizable portion of halibut with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. Half of the halibut was done well and flavorful, the edges composing the other half though was rather dry and lacking in flavor. Curious. - scallops - 5/5, five scallops which were very flavorful with a celery puree and three halves of a baby carrot. Delicious but minimalist for sure in its size and presentation. this was the best item we had along with the salad. Note 1: we saw all the other tables receive an amuse bouche which looked like a shooter of something but despite all the check-ins from the floor manager and our server we somehow did not receive the amuse bouche. Note 2: It was chilly so we changed our reservation last minute to move into the dining room as opposed to sitting on the deck, which we were very glad about as it did not appear they have any heaters on the deck which we definitely had in the past times we've dined on the deck when it wasn't even as cold as 60 degrees (as it was last night) For the price and over-service (my husband tried to avoid engaging with the floor manager for the third time when we exited the restaurant but we were intercepted), and good but not great food, I'm not sure we'll be making a point to return to Coastal Prime next time we're in town.
