Beautiful view and great food. The service was top notch. The host was Turkish and he was a delight. Had an amazing evening.

Great views and good sea food. We tried oysters, sashimi, shrimp cocktail , chowder which was so flavorful. Bisque was ok. The seafood paella was good for 2 .

Exceptional evening at Coastal Prime. The sunset was beautiful and after deciding to dine inside rather than on the patio, they kindly sat us at a table with large windows that had a full view of the sunset. The patio had heaters and blankets, but it is a less formal vibe than the beautiful inside tables that have linen cloths and napkins as well as glass stemware and fresh flowers. The food is pricey, but it is of high quality and the service was very good. We started with clam chowder and a chicken with dumplings soup. They were satisfactory but not exceptional. We then had a wonderful miso glazed salmon on a bed of rice and spinach and a Filet Mignon topped with an ample amount of truffle butter (which is a $5 extra charge). The presentation was beautiful. The wines by the glass list was not extensive, however they had a nice variety. We ordered a glass of Sancerre (with the Salmon) and a glass of a French blend with the Filet Mignon. We ended with Gifford's ice cream (chocolate and pistachio).

5 stars for the view and ambiance 5 stars for service 3 stars for food and value You do expect prices to be on the higher end when you are at a nice restaurant, especially one by the water. And one where they have great service who will offer you blankets if it's cold or to move the heat lamp closer. But overall quality of food is average. And with the high price tag, I wouldn't be coming for the food, I'd be coming back for the ambiance. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the clam chowder.

We came here for a late lunch and we were seated right by the harbor. It was a little breezy and overcast but when the sun came out it turned out to be such a warm summer day! The umbrella for the table covered us perfectly. The server was so friendly (despite us having young kids~!) and was prompt with our order. The food itself was everything you could hope for. We got a large variety off the menu - oysters, burger, wings, fish tacos, lobster, and sushi! The sushi was excellent quality and cut perfectly. Some of the best I've had. The lobster meal was simple - a lobster, ear of corn, and fingerling potatoes with drawn butter. The fish tacos were huge. My husband ate 2 out of three and gave up. The burger was loaded and cooked to perfection. I also had three cosmos. They were not drowning in cranberry juice like other bars and left me feeling warm and happy. A total win!

The interior looks a bit old and run down. We had lunch here with friends and everything started out OK with ordering, but things went down hill. First, cocktails were weak and not very good. I had a margarita which tasted like straight up mix from a bottle, little or no tequila. Essentially not drinkable. Our friends ordered a bowl of chilli and a shrimp entree, while we ordered a couple of sushi rolls. Our friends food was delivered promptly, but our sushi was not served for another solid 10+ minutes. Server never came, so eventually I went in to find her after 10 minutes went by without food. She was nowhere to be found, so I mentioned this to another waiter, who looked confused, and said he would let her know. A few minutes later she came and said that sushi takes long to prepare. No apology, and by that time our friends were just about done with their lunch, when our rolls came out. All in all, the food was not pretty good, but the experience was poor. There was no excuse as the restaurant wasn't even that busy. I can't say we can recommend this restaurant, or that we would return.

One had the fish and chips. Up this way they use haddock. Don't know why we don't in Charleston, that was some oh-so-delicious fish!!!! I'd been dying for some 'Boston' clam chowder. This chowder definitely fits the bill. Tasty, salty (in an appropriate way) thick, hot, and stuffed with some delicious clams. I also decided on the risotto, just the 4 cheese, no protein. This was creamy and so full of flavor, 6 days later I'm still thinking about it. We sat on the rooftop, enjoyed some fine weather, a great meal, and lovely wine. Couldn't have been a more perfect lunch!

All of the food we…read moreordered was very tasty, our server couldn't have been better (thanks Calli) and the atmosphere and vibe was perfect for an evening at the harbor. Let's quickly get down to the good specifics. The raw oyster appetizer was just right for us: fresh, briny, large oysters (mere points, $36). The lobster bisque was thick, lots of lobster pieces ($12). The clam chowder not quite heavy enough for our preference but good and filled with of clams. Our added bonus was the yummy spinach and artichoke dip ($17). The 1 1/2 pound lobster for dinner ($39) was delicious; tasted as if hauled aboard only a few hours ago. Add in a plate of fried scallops ($34) and a Thai crunch bowl ($19) and we were thoroughly and completely satisfied. Oh yeah, a few good beers, too. Calli kept our drinks refilled and was a constant model of efficiency and good humor. The restaurant has a patio and pretty open dining inside right on the harbor. Conversation is lively but never overwhelming perhaps because it is open. We made a reservation which we'd recommend. In summer it obviously gets very busy. As it should be.

We ordered the lobster bisque , haddock bites, I had a sandwich, the fish tacos, and the fried clam bellies. The lobster bisque was OK not the best I've ever had. They could have given us more of them, but they were very tender and large not just a little strips but the whole clam. They had a sandwich was Massive. There was a choice between blackened, fried or grilled, and my dining companion got the blackened. She said it was quite good. It is a real piece of fish. It came with fries as did all of the dinners. The fries were double fried and crispy. I thought it was a good meal.
