I absolutely love this place. GPS will get you there but pay attention. A lot of little twists and turns. Very nice area to explore and spend time by the water. Breakfast is absolutely amazing. The bar in the evening was very good as well as the food for a snack. Would love to go back to this place very romantic and definitely a destination for a special occasion/wedding. They have a convenient shuttle bus that comes by about every hour. There's no way that you can reasonably walk or ride a bike down to the town center unless you're into steep hills. Usually, there's no issue with parking downtown. There was a parade in the town center, and we were able to find parking along the street fairly easily. There's also some parking lot that are on the honor system for about $10. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE!!! Where do I even begin? First off, the cabin was extremely small. You have to ask for a room with AC, which we did, yet the AC didn't work. There's no tvs, clocks, microwaves, or any electrical appliances either. There was stains on the one chair they had, and hair in the sheets. Floor was also super dirty when we first arrived. There's also barely any parking by the cabins. The staff was very undertrained. Had about 5 workers say "sorry it's my first day". The restaurant has no food for kids, only seafood, which is just great if you're allergic to seafood. When we decide to go paddle boarding, the man at the desk just asked us for our last name, then said we were all set. We had to find life jackets and oars ourselves. Then we had to grab the paddle boards ourselves and make sure everything was safe, which is dangerous if you aren't a professional. There were also lots of jellyfish in the ocean, which no one warned us about. Their "Recreational room" is a tent with a ping pong table.. so there wasn't much to do there. They told us we could get s'mores at the fire pit every night. We went at 7pm, which is when they told us s'mores would be ready, but nothing was there. Turns out we had to ask for it them, which took about 20 minutes. When they came, there was broken graham crackers, 2 sticks, and 7 MONTH EXPIRED MARSHMALLOWS!! Also only 3 chairs, which made it difficult when multiple groups came. Breakfast was cold pancakes and eggs, and no milk or anything. Just water. At the front desk, we asked questions about where we could find stuff like house keeping or laundry. All the lady said was "I don't know". Only good thing about this place is the fact that it's close to downtown bbh, but all stores there are just copies of each other. Maybe good if you just need a place to stay for the night, but definitely not good for vacations read more

We did a due diligence visit recently and I was not overly impressed. As compared to one of its sister properties where we were staying it was a bit down market. The view of the bay from the dock and I am sure some of the buildings was nice, but the property is very hilly. I am sure many are attracted to the all-inclusive water sports, but that would not be a factor in our decision. read more

The hotel grounds are very pretty. The room was stayed in was newly furnished and immaculately clean. The view from our room and from the sunrise deck were really beautiful. We had no issues with our stay other than the continental breakfast. My husband and I were truly disappointed in the continental breakfast. It was an absolute joke. I understand that everyone is doing what they need to for COVID-19 rule compliance, but this was pitiful. We received a packaged mini muffin (which was disgusting), a mini apple, and a bottle orange juice per person in a brown paper bag. We ended up having to buy breakfast elsewhere because the breakfast was so ridiculously inadequate. They might as well not even include the breakfast because it truly is a waste of time and money for everyone. read more

We had dinner outside at the Linekin Bay Resort Deck Bar & Grill last night at 5:30pm. We weren't sure what to expect since it is a "resort" and the photos of the food on the website look very fancy. It turned out to be super casual - picnic tables on the lawn in front of the building. With a beautiful view of the bay, it was also quite windy/chilly sitting outside (bring a jacket and wear long pants, even at 5:30pm with the sun shining on you). We wished we'd realized it was going to be so cold as it lessened our enjoyment of our dinner and also made our food cool down very quickly. We had a wonderful waitress from Romania, we didn't catch her name, and she was very attentive and thoughtful. We ordered fried calamari, burgers, steak frites, fish tacos, haddock sandwich, strawberry/watermelon/feta salad, and the lobster mac and cheese, a pina colada and mango daiquiri. Everyone enjoyed their meals - the teenage/young adult kids said the burgers were the best ones they'd had on our eight-day trip, and my haddock sandwich with what looked like homemade chips was delicious. Everyone polished off their entire plates, no leftovers, so that's a really good indication of how much they enjoyed their meal. The pina colada was excellent and I really liked their decorative toothpicks that came with the sliced pineapple and maraschino cherry - they each had a tiny wooden animal at the end (just a cute special touch). If you're looking for a casual, COVID-safe dinner with a great view outside of the touristy Boothbay Harbor area I'd highly recommend Linekin Bay Resort Deck Bar & Grill - just be sure to dress warmly! read more

We were blown away by the service and stunning views of the bay! It's a perfect spot for a family gathering, whether that be a reunion or, in our case, a wedding. We stayed for a few nights in October, and while a little chilly, we had a great time with friends and family. It's so special how the grounds of the resort really bring everyone together (from the play field, to the dining lodge, bar, and pool). The staff were also A+ going above and beyond to serve us. Just as an example, our son has a dairy allergy, so my wife asked at breakfast if there was almond milk...we later found out that someone from staff drove to the grocery store to buy a gallon just for us. A wonderful getaway at a lovely, recently upgraded and remodeled resort with a "summer camp" vibe. We came by boat, having reserved a mooring just in front of the hotel, and were promptly met by a hotel launch that brought us to the dock. The plentiful staff are friendly and professional. The amenities are varied and fun - kayaks, sailboat rentals, playing fields, volleyball, lawn games, and of course the heated swimming pool overlooking the ocean. Our room was a good size with king bed and two comfy club chairs, and the bathroom was clean and updated. The dining on-campus (best way to describe the sprawling resort with numerous lodges and individual cabins) is at the Deck Bar & Grill which has ample outdoor seating for good weather as well as a cozy lodge-like indoor area with large stone fireplace if the weather turns chilly. read more

Amazing setting and property (5 stars). Well worth the stay. Have had several friends do so. Service is wonderful as well. Bar is good also. Sadly, the food is very hit or miss. Haddock tacos are good (could use more fish and have corn tortilla option). Burgers are OK. Tuna crudo is a wonderful idea but it is cut too thick and fish was not terribly fresh (mealy). I have tried the mussels on two, separate occasions. Second time was worse than the first. Not local, not fresh, thin slices of ciabatta, which is just as well - the accompanying sauce is inedible (way, way, way over salted). Salads are fresh, fries are crispy. Soups are good (not great). The filet mignon was well prepared (a touch overpriced for the minimal plate). In short, go for the setting, enjoy a beverage and a snack then head in town for a meal. read more

Beautiful view! Went for drinks and app. Ok cocktail. Not a good wine selection-- just basic. Nice staff Ordered a caprese salad. It had 1 grape tomato-- and it was $14. Really it was not caprese salad. It was a green salad with some mozz balls. Took awhile to get and I'm guessing maybe they were out of tomatoes? They could have told me. Apps are too expensive. Next time I'll go and order a sandwich. But, the place looks beautiful! read more

This place is a dreamland. After staying at so many different places,I can easily say that this has been the best! Very quiet,chill resort. If you need some relaxed and quiet time this is the place for you. Their salt water pool and complimentary kayaking is a huuuge plus! I will be back! read more

After checking in to the Linekin Booth Bay resort, I decided to check the associated restaurant for lunch. Obviously, when you're in Maine, you go for the lobster. I didn't want to do the legit whole lobster, so I went for the lobster roll. It was ok but honestly it wasn't filling at all. Thank goodness it came with baked chips or I would've been starving. The roll was standard bread roll. The food wasn't super warm either, which would've helped given how cold it was. We sat outdoors to keep ourselves COVID free as much as possible. To heat up, we requested coffee (which I was hoping would be on the house given we are part of the resort and coffee is available to us anyway. But no biggie) After this dining experience, we opted to not eat again at this spot for the rest of the trip. Price wise, probably standard. I paid $36 (lobsteroll, soda, and coffee). Quality wise, meh. Unless you're staying in the resort and there's no other place to go, I would try to look elsewhere. read more

The spot is amazing, great view. Was in the sun. Waitress was pretty attentive, had to go to the bar for a drink at one point. So the mussels were yummy. My complaint and its small, the bread for soaking juice up was subpar. Crusty warm bread is the usual. Not 4 slices of cold bread not cut through which is the norm for on table bread while you wait. Also my buddy got the sliders app. That consisted of 2 sliders. 3 in my mind would make better sense for the app. We moved down to sit at some addarondaks right on the water which was great. Go for the views and good drinks. I would get the mussels again but ask for better bread. read more

Best value resort in the area by far. Sailing available at $50/hr is very reasonable. Friendly and well groomed staff. Food was a B, at best, but I'd still recommend staying here because it's away from town so you get a private water-oriented experience without the hassle, but you're also a 7 minute drive from the harbor so you're still very much connected to what's going on in the harbor. read more

Way too skimpy size for price. We fine dine and enjoy our limited abilities soooo, not willing to pay higher end when serving size and quality are NOT! Linekin Bay needs to prepare for NEXT SEASON and meet the standards of local seasonal folks who go out of the way to find the place! Our stay was terrific, all inclusive water sports means you can go out on any boats or paddle boats from 8-8. We had breakfast, lunch and drinks. Service was less to be desired. Young staff looking clueless on what to do and waiting for direction from someone else. Understandable good summer help is hard to find and harder to train. Ricardo the bartender was great made some nice piña colada's. Resort has a great view and located in a very nice cove. Pool was a great ending after a long g kayaking around the bay. Perfection! We hiked 1.5 miles from town to this amazing view where we relaxed and enjoyed this beautiful place! I would recommend staying here but at least come for a bite and see what I mean. Andrea took great care of us! The food was fast and delicious! The beef tostadas were juicy and so yummy, the French fries came with truffle-ketchup and literally blew my mind. (And that's just the appetizers) My new favorite beer is the Thirsty Botanist brewed locally. It wouldn't have been the same with out the awesome music from Ben on his steel drums, he played all my favorite songs and made everything that much better! read more

When I hear resort I think something completely different than what I walked into at Linekin Bay Resort! That being said, once I got over the initial shock of the shack like cabins with no road or sidewalk access and the complete lack of luxury and convenience I expect a resort to provide, I quite enjoyed my stay. I would have appreciated a heads up for the type of accommodations available... so I could have been prepared. For example, most resorts will provide things like conditioner, a coffee pot, tissues, etc. Little things that you might not think to pack. Also, the pathways to the cabins are unlit, and riddled with big rocks and tree roots- things like sneakers and flashlights are a must. I came to this resort as a guest at a wedding. Lets just say getting around in spike stilettos was a bit difficult! The water from view from the main house was absolutely gorgeous! The heated salt water pool overlooks the ocean and is great to jump into after swimming in the crisp ocean. The resort offers kayaks and other boats for guests to enjoy, which was an amazingly fun treat. The staff was friendly and accomidating. I very quickly fell in love with the area and it's beauty. Overall I had an enjoyable stay. If you choose this resort remember all your toiletries and definately bug spray! Don't forget a flashlight and bring sneakers. read more

Can't say enough about this place - stayed 2 nights midweek (Tues - Thurs) and wish it could have been longer. We had a wonderful Jr Suite in the Mahawi Lodge overlooking the bay. Sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the attached deck was absolute HEAVEN. Everything in the spacious suite was brand spanking new, comfortable and upscale - and these suites did have AC. Thankfully we had perfect weather and took advantage of the kayaks, paddleboards and the 19' Rhodes sailboats. The pool is great for taking a dip after working up a sweat. Views all around the resort are just spectacular on this quiet, serene bay. Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner at the Deck Bar and Grill is convenient but the food and service there is average at best, and you need to have a reservation. All in all, I highly recommend this beautiful, unique place. read more

Do not stay in the Popham cabin. I feel like i am staying in a shed. There is no AC and the fans do nothing. It is gross in here. If you get the Popham cabin request another or go somewhere else. I have never been more uncomfortable on a vacation The staff is very nice though and the food is good. read more

Stopped for dinner and a great view. The view was spectacular but our dinner was less than average. The muscles and lobsters were excellent. The potatoes and corn were dried out and obviously warmed over from earlier in the day. Lobster Mac and cheese had less than a half of a lobster for the same price as a whole lobster. Overpriced and under-performing. I had sea bass that was unremarkable, and a "golden beet salad" that was made with canned red beets. When I mentioned that yo the waiter, he said "yeah, I don't know why they call it that. No apology, no attempt to explain, just bland acceptance of the fact that they were misrepresenting a menu item. As summer residents we've been to the Bar and Grill a number of times, and have always enjoyed the outside dinning, view and location. The service has been good, so each year the question is "How is the food "? Sorry to say our party of four all got entrees and came away not being wowed for the prices being asked. Two of us had the scampi seafood special which was just OK. My wife had the mussel entree which was loaded with large mussels and a spicy sauce in which she liked. The most disappointing meal was the salmon which by the description seemed like a very good choice, only to find it way over cooked ( dry ) and not very much flavor. We bumped into some friends of ours at another table who had the tacos which looked good and they agreed. So, we will be back and stick with the sandwiches and tacos. read more

Wow. Spent an amazing 48 hours in this beautiful, peaceful resort. All the comforts of home while still feeling like I was a part of nature. The setting is beautiful. This place is an absolute gem! It's the kind of place you would be tempted to keep secret but the folks there are just too cool to do that. We chose the all inclusive package with food, a cabin, sailing and lessons included. The food was delicious. The fresh oysters in the Sunday brunch and picture perfect whole lobster for the Tuesday picnic were the highlights. The staff is exceptional. A special shout out to Max our sailing instructor, Qiac, Yana and Andrea for making our stay memorable. I would definitely recommend to family. If I were to offer them any advice it would be to have some shades out by the pool for us souls that can't tan and go straight to a sunburn. read more

This place really should not be called a resort because it makes people think that they are going to stay at somewhere that has a spa, nice new accommodations, HDTV... It is totally the opposite. Billed as the only all inclusive sailing resort, you get 3 very high quality meals a day, unlimited access to sailboats, kayaks etc and rooms literally right on the water. However the rooms are very old and more like summer camp cabins. So hence some people really do not like that. There is no cell phone service, no TV, and spotty wifi. This is a place you go to be lost. Most of the guests are older or families. Many guests have been coming for many years. The meals include lobster, hangar steak, duck, haddock you name it. To eat 3 meals like this a day it would easily run you $60 per person but it is included in the cost. The sailing includes free lessons, and the people that teach it are very nice, and so is everyone there. If you aren't going to go on boats, you are missing out on the best benefit. Also the touristy town is less than a mile away so you can even walk there if you want. The Linekin bay area is much better IMO than boothbay harbor as it is quieter. So if you want a rustic vacation on a beautiful bay with sailing and great food, this is for you. If you want luxurious rooms it you will not be happy. read more

Has improved the past few years - much better food and bar, and the dock is great for boats pulling in to eat and drink. Just yesterday cut off boaters from swimming in the pool - which shuts us off from coming since the kids would swim a few hours while the adults ate and drank. We only came to the restaurant so I can't speak to whole resort, but the restaurant was less than impressive. Wait staff was plentiful but service was not. Drinks took about 15-20 minutes for a table of 6 and there were not too many others seated at the time. The "surf and turf" Friday feature details lobster tail in the menu, but is presented as half a lobster straight down the middle, leaving you a strange presentation of little meat. My medium rare steak was closer to well in color but somehow managed to stay tender so at least I could eat that. Crab cake app was enjoyable and overall it wasn't too badly priced. Perhaps the resort itself is enjoyable to stay at, but I'd skip the restaurant. read more

Don't waste your time and money. This is a far cry from a resort. I was put in a sketchy cabin to say the least . No AC no tv. If I wanted to camping I would have rented a campsite. Staff was nice and accommodating but definitely not a resort. The cabin we stayed in had black hairs in the bed, neither my wife or I have black hair. So please spend your money elsewhere. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place four stars is because the homemade salsa had red peppers in it... didn't work for me. LBR is a boat ride stop no matter what. The view is priceless, the menu short and sweet (fits any taste; vegetarian & meat lover), and the atmosphere is so relaxing, but fun. The three of us were sat practically immediately at a round table on the deck (one of 8). There are a few picnic tables down by the pool/water, but we needed shade while we could get it. As it was mid day, we were after more of appetizers than entrees. The beer and wine list is two pages, so there's nothing shy of the necessities there. We decided on the fennel, butter & white wine mussels, caesar salad that could feed three people, old bay fries with truffle ketchup, curry mayo, and garlic aioli to dip, AND homemade salsa and guac w/ fresh tortilla chips. Perfect combonation for a sunny afternoon on the water. The waiter was very polite and we had our food within 15 min. The three apps and salad with two beers came to $40. I have been twice in five days merely due to it's proximity and setting. This place has SERIOUS staffing problems. From the lack of experienced waiters . We were never offered water, when a dish was to be divided we had to eat off our bread plates because he was nowhere to be found. On the next visit with a different friend there were "no clean glasses "which necessitated 15 minutes to get a glass of wine - I guess this was why my dirty martini was served in a highball glass! To continue the second dissapointing visit there was no more than a small (4 pieces) of crusty bread to go with my huge slabs of pate- they offered me "some rolls from the All Inclusive dining room". The manager offered us dessert on the first visit and comped two wines on the second. I guess she does the best with what she has to work with but if this place wants return business they are going to need competent staff that show up to work. read more
