Came here at 3 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon. Which is a good time to come cause you could actually get seated out on the dock. There is an inside area for dining and upstairs area for dining as well as a fabulous fabulous seafood store and a wonderful gift shop that has all kinds of Robinson wharf swag. Your dog is welcome out on the dock. The cocktails were excellent and it was fabulous to be able to sit outside. I always get my lobster there. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Talk about fresh off the boat! It doesn't get any fresher than this! The lobster boats literally pull in at this restaurant! We had the clam chowder, the lobster roll, and the haddock taco's. The chowder was among the best I've ever had! The lobster roll was outstanding! Absolutely loaded with fresh caught lobster meat! My wife's haddock tacos were spot on good. It was really neat to eat lunch over looking the lobster boats! Highly recommend this place! read more

Don't order fresh Lobster!!! I don't ordinarily write negative reviews but this was so unacceptable I couldn't believe it. I ordered a 1 1/2 pd lobster meal. When I opened the claws they were filled with water and a light pink film. I told the waitress who said she'd talk to her boss but also said "I Doubt they'll do anything " She came back and said that there was nothing they would do and that we were given the lobster meal we ordered and they were not responsible for the situation because they can't know what's inside the claws, order at your own risk!!! We Paid $40 for my meal and received a small amount of tail meat. They offered me a piece of pie I have asked all the restaurants that serve lobster for the remainder of our trip and they were appalled some even apologized. read more

A local favorite! We've been coming here gir years and it's always our first stop when we get to our summer home in Maine, every summer! They have indoor & outdoor seating, as well as rooftop seating. It's a great, casual ambiance with great service & great food! It's on the water, so you have nice views. We come to lunch often by boat. I recommend the mussels in white wine sauce. Delicious & enough to share. My family orders the lobster rolls , but I prefer their lazy lobster. Had a great dinner with friends enjoyed singing along to the great band but take note it was pretty loud...food is always to die for, they have a new chef I hear this year and it shows it very great change of food from last season but it's always good never had a bad meal!! Service is always great I admit a little slow but that was because they were extremely swamped with people with the band playing and all and not having the outside open yet because of the weather! This is a $30 entree at Robinsons. A maybe 6 oz piece of haddock, 6 small wedges of potato, and some mush they claim is zucchini and summer squash. Food was very good. If you get on the deck, the view is very nice. Service was very good ONCE WE LEFT THE BAR. . We got buzzed to a table sooner than what the hostess had told us. 5 min instead of 10-15 mins. We initially sat at the bar and ordered drinks. Let me start by saying, we came here as kids as our family had relatives living around the corner. It has been 34 years since my last visit and while a lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same. The dad and his son who ran things have passed and there are new owners. Everyone was super friendly as we ate and drank on the patio tables. The beers were unique with many craft beers to choose from and food specials too. The food starting with the New England Clam Chowder was chunky and full of clams, delicious to say the least. The Lobster Rolls were market price at $30 or two one pound lobsters with corn and slaw were $39. Well, my brother in law and myself know good value when we see it, enjoyed the 2 1pd lobster lunch. It did not disappoint us. Abby our server was down right friendly, spot on and was a delight, thank you. The smells of the low tide, lobsters cooking and the view in the harbor was just how we all remembered. Yes, we could even see my Aunt Mary and Liz's house from our picnic table. read more

The restaurant was not as busy as the year prior but it took awhile before we received menus and water. We each chose pan seared scallops with corn and bacon risotto plus asparagus. What was received was overcooked scallops, corn and bacon rice, and pathetically skinny asparagus that had been overcooked. The staff was absolutely amazing. We had a party of 23 and they rearranged the entire downstairs to accommodate us. They easily split the bill based on individuals/families in the party. The steamers were possible the tastiest I've add and would 100% get them again. The lobster was average size for what everyone serves in Maine. 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 pounds. It's perfect size when accompanied with the chowder and corn. The lobster was cooked perfectly. I would have given a 5 star, but the tortilla on the tacos was very hard to bite through. So many cars parked in front of this restaurant were a good sign or no choice for the people since there are not too many places to eat around that area. My husband and I were so hungry at the time and we just took the chance to try it. We ordered fresh oysters and a Maine lobster dinner from the menu and we loved it! Just the way we like it! My review will account for the 2 times we ate here during our visit. The first time we enjoyed a seat on the upper deck and found the food to be served quickly. Unfortunately the nuggets in the haddock taco weren't warm but were replaced with fresh. My husband raved about the Bolognese and it was probably his favorite meal of our vacation. We took a piece of cake to go. On our second visit, we sat inside due to weather but still pretty quick service. We had the moxie short ribs and swordfish special. Both were good. Not great but I guess serviceable since it lasted this long. An institution in this area, we were disappointed with small portions and flavorless fare. My wife had Fish N Chips (2 small pieces) and I had Fish Tacos (2). No sides with the dinners. We tried each others and agreed it was flavorless (Haddock) and felt disappointed. The price was high for what we got though probably in-line with the tourist season. I know Haddock is a bland white fish but this was beyond bland even with Cole Slaw topping on my tacos. The service was quick and adequate. I don't understand the hype and the longevity. There is limited parking and and if not in the main lot you have to walk across the street and up a small hill for the alternate lot. read more

We have been enjoying Robinsons for the past 4 years while vacationing in the Southport cove. This year i couldn't help but be very disappointed. Apparently a new chief has taken all starch offering and replace with rice. And Robinsons has the distinct pleasure to be the highest price for any lobster offering. The lobster roll is small for the price. Bottom line expensive and average entries at best. Sorry Robinsons you lost our patronage. read more
