Food here at Brady's very good. You will not leave hungry . But the service needs IMPROVEMENT DEFINITELY! so many workers just standing around and my hubby and I were the only ones in the back area. read more

First visit to this restaurant with some friends for lunch. Service was good and food was served hot. I ordered the crab cakes and my husband had the fish tacos. Crab cakes were actually very thick and felt it wasn't to my liking and it lacked flavor plus the side of veggies just wasn't to my liking either, French fries were just ok. My husband dish he ate everything but said himself he's had better. The ambiance was nice and the place was clean. Parking is quite the challenge with street parking. read more

We tried Brady's when in the area for Gardens Aglow. This was a nice pub/restaurant with some pros and cons. We had several items including the burger, fish & chips, French dip sandwich, and shrimp tacos. They all came with fries and coleslaw. The fries have a special seasoning, which was good. Not overly spicy. The coleslaw had zero flavor and the ones at our table did not seem to have any dressing or spice - which was needed. I suggest switching out fries for onions rings, which were amazing! They are homemade and on the thinner side, which we liked. I had the beer cheese with my fries, which again, lacked flavor and was ok. The burger was enjoyed, but nothing outstanding. I had the fish, which was one of the better entrees. It was an entire filet and huge! Fresh and flaky haddock in a good batter with homemade tartar sauce. The winner of the night was the French dip recommended by our server. They use prime rib cooked there. Au jus on point. Only thing I would change was it was on thick white bread instead of a roll, which I felt would have held up better and not made it soggy after dipping. Bottom line, everything was good, fresh, and seemed much was homemade. I felt that flavor and spice was lacking in a lot of it though and could have been notched up some. If I could give 3.5 I would, but alas... Prices were reasonable. read more

I am really disappointed in this place. The hostess was really nice and then waiter came over and that when it all went bad. I got the chili and it looked like dog food out of a can. It only came with about five chips so I asked for a couple more chips and he gave me a small plate and charge me more money for the tiny plate of chips. Then Somebody in my party got a. BLT and it was so soggy from the amount of mayonnaise and the huge tomato. She had to use like seven napkins.. Somebody else got bang bang shrimp and it was complete all batter. Three of them didn't have shrimp at all. Then when asked for the check, the waiter came over with a hand motion and told me to hurry up. So as I was panicking, I asked my friend how much she wanted to tip him and he said the most you can. It's Christmas. I need money. This was a very awful experience. On top of paying $14 for an extremely weak drink. I will never come back here again. read more

This review is only about the experience and beer, because we had no food on this stop. Our first day in Boothbay and exploring the area. Brady's was at the top of Boothbay Harbor, so we stopped in for a beer and a view. We were seated in the bar area, near the water. The bar area is huge and has a long bar and lots of tables. Our server was Sam and she was terrific! We just wanted a couple of beers and she recommended the Thirsty Botanist (a local craft beer). Great beer - get one if you like a good IPA! We really enjoyed just taking in the harbor view and enjoying great conversation with Sam and some of our table 'neighbors'. While I can't personally comment on the food, we saw the fish and chips come out near us and it looked amazing. If you're looking for a great bar, with terrific views and a fun vibe. Stop by Brady's, it won't disappoint! read more

They not only allow dogs here at Brady's - they welcome them! Whenever my dog and I come here, we are met with smiles and a fresh bowl of water for her. They have the best Happy Hour menu, too! $5 apps, which are yummy! 1/2 price beers, $5 house wines and well drinks. Excellent and genuinely friendly customer service, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere makes Brady's one of my (and my dog's) favorite spots in Boothbay Harbor! read more

We visited Boothbay Harbor in February and not much was open and it was freezing. We ate at Brady's 2x over the weekend and enjoyed it immensely. We had Fish and Chips both times which are my favorite in this area, and the Haddock chowder was soooo good. This is a friendly local place, and seeing the review about "drunk locals", well that is a selling point for me. Everyone we met was so nice and welcoming. I will mention the Haddock Chowder again because it was amazing especially on a cold day. read more

Lovely decor, fantastic, attentive service and excellent food! Brady's is slightly apart from most of the other restaurants in Boothbay Harbor but that just makes it the pearl in the oyster, so to speak! Great spot away from the main town area (but very close). When we come to Coastal Maine we always bring our dog so it's important we find dog friendly spots. If you are a dog owner you must come to this place. They have a love for dogs, as noted on how they name their menu items. The food was fantastic. We started with the fries and added meatballs and beer cheese. My husband got the blackened fish sandwich and I got the wedge salad with added lobster. Everything was great. Yes, it is not on the 'main strip' in Boothbay... however worth the short walk. We met the chef the night before at Pier 1 Pizza so, yeah - we had to go! Visited Boothbay with a group of friends to see Aglow. We reserved a table for 12 at Brady's and had a room to ourselves. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. The burger was well prepared, although the coleslaw was too vinegary for my tastes. Members of our group had ordered the all you can eat haddock and raved about it. No one had anything negative to say about the food or drink, although I wished--on a cold, rainy night--that they had hot cider available. read more

Checking the reviews, we saw that they love dogs and had, "...drunk, loud locals." We immediately headed there. :) We found warm, fantastic locals (the level of drunkenness is debatable), no shortage of lively conversation, and awesome food. There was also a dog and I got to feed her snacks! We love a good hangout spot and this was perfecto. Definitely going on the list of "have to visit" spots for our annual fall trek. read more

We ordered a variety of items from the menu and everyone was very happy with their meal. Our waitress was also amazing. We were walking across the Boothbay Harbor footbridge on Sunday afternoon when we heard the music of a band wafting across the harbor from Brady's. Ever since we had arrived in Boothbay earlier in the weekend I had noticed that Brady's was always mobbed. So since it was Sunday and still afternoon, we decided to had over to listen to the band. When we arrived, it was mobbed. Fortunately, 2 people were leaving the bar and we got their seats. I ordered the Pain Killer which is the island favorite on St. Croix. Whenever I order one in the states, it's not as good. But they made a very good one at Brady's. The atmosphere was totally fun. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. The service was more than friendly and efficient. The outdoor patio is right on the harbor, so the view is beautiful. While we were there we discovered that they close at 5 on Sunday. So that meant we couldn't stay for dinner. The band was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There were many signs hanging behind the bar. One of them read: "Life is all about finding people who are your kind of crazy." I kind of thought that was the philosophy of this place. I'll update my review after eating there. read more
