Nice views on the water. Super welcoming to our pups with beds and water. Delicious steak salad- vegetables tasted very fresh- a welcome relief after too many lobsta rolls!

A friend of mine and our daughters spent Mother's Day weekend in Maine and had a great time. Came to Bradys on a whim and we loved it. Atmosphere was nice, service was good and the food was great as well. We will definitely be returning.

Food was delicious, staff were outstanding, view was beautiful. Also probably the most dog friendly restaurant I have ever been to.

We tried Brady's when in the area for Gardens Aglow. This was a nice pub/restaurant with some pros and cons. We had several items including the burger, fish & chips, French dip sandwich, and shrimp tacos. They all came with fries and coleslaw. The fries have a special seasoning, which was good. Not overly spicy. The coleslaw had zero flavor and the ones at our table did not seem to have any dressing or spice - which was needed. I suggest switching out fries for onions rings, which were amazing! They are homemade and on the thinner side, which we liked. I had the beer cheese with my fries, which again, lacked flavor and was ok. The burger was enjoyed, but nothing outstanding. I had the fish, which was one of the better entrees. It was an entire filet and huge! Fresh and flaky haddock in a good batter with homemade tartar sauce. The winner of the night was the French dip recommended by our server. They use prime rib cooked there. Au jus on point. Only thing I would change was it was on thick white bread instead of a roll, which I felt would have held up better and not made it soggy after dipping. Bottom line, everything was good, fresh, and seemed much was homemade. I felt that flavor and spice was lacking in a lot of it though and could have been notched up some. If I could give 3.5 I would, but alas... Prices were reasonable.

This review is only about the experience and beer, because we had no food on this stop. Our first day in Boothbay and exploring the area. Brady's was at the top of Boothbay Harbor, so we stopped in for a beer and a view. We were seated in the bar area, near the water. The bar area is huge and has a long bar and lots of tables. Our server was Sam and she was terrific! We just wanted a couple of beers and she recommended the Thirsty Botanist (a local craft beer). Great beer - get one if you like a good IPA! We really enjoyed just taking in the harbor view and enjoying great conversation with Sam and some of our table 'neighbors'. While I can't personally comment on the food, we saw the fish and chips come out near us and it looked amazing. If you're looking for a great bar, with terrific views and a fun vibe. Stop by Brady's, it won't disappoint!

Hot Lobster Roll and a sangria was delicious. Parking was difficult but service was kind and quick. It was nice to eat outside with the rain and great music playing.

They not only allow dogs here at Brady's - they welcome them! Whenever my dog and I come here, we are met with smiles and a fresh bowl of water for her. They have the best Happy Hour menu, too! $5 apps, which are yummy! 1/2 price beers, $5 house wines and well drinks. Excellent and genuinely friendly customer service, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere makes Brady's one of my (and my dog's) favorite spots in Boothbay Harbor!

Lobster roll -- can get cheaper down by the water, but it was good.

Incredible service. Good food. Outdoor area looked amazing, but it was chilly when we went. They had live music the next day.

The haddock sandwich had about two bites of fish. The bun was soaked in butter to the point of being disgusting. It was simply not good.

While we enjoyed the food we ordered, our server was somewhat rushed, impatient with us, and clearly needed to turn the table FAST. This is a popular restaurant that does not take reservations, so we went early at 5:30 and had no trouble getting a table outside on the third floor deck. Our server arrived and asked for our drink order just as the menus were dropped, and we said we needed a minute. This was the first hint that she had no time for our nonsense! She did return a few minutes later to take our drink order and asked to place our appetizers. Drinks and apps came out lightning fast, clearly pre-made and sitting. The fried oyster appetizer was delicious. For dinner we tried the lobster risotto, which was much much better than I expected given the vibe of the restaurant. When it came time for dessert our waitress asked what we might want after reciting what they offered. We chatted for a moment among ourselves, which was apparently too long, and she huffed off saying she did not have time for this, and would return. Clearly they wanted the table, and for us to leave, so we did. I get it, Boothbay Harbor is busy and filled with tourists. Some of the restaurants (like this one, and their sister spot) don't even try hard with service. We've had some good as well as excellent dinner in this small town. There's no reason for such poor and rushed service. A shame as the food was pretty good. Don't expect to stay here more than 45 minutes or so for your dinner. Given our service experience, I think I'd be hard pressed to come back here.

Prices are fair given the location (you are in Boothbay, after all), and the quality and portions make it feel worth it. We've been in both summer and winter, and it's been a great experience each time. In the colder months, the indoor tables with harbor views feel extra cozy. In the summer, their rooftop deck has one of the best views in town. Service has always been friendly and attentive, even during busy times. Our go-to is the haddock sandwich. They use these massive pieces of fish, and it's always cooked perfectly. We've had it both fried and blackened -- both are excellent!

Maybe because their reviews have indicated poor service, we experienced over-service: the floor manager checked in with us three times to see how we were doing in a rather obsequious manner which was very off-putting. Our very friendly server checked in with us 15 times (!) so much so that it was a bit irritating as she kept interrupting our conversation. I think that's about 7-8 times too many check-ins over the course of a 1.5 hour dinner. Now to the food which was all VERY expensive: - popover and butter (complementary) - 4/5 - clam chowder - 3/5, $13 for a cup of chowder is a LOT to pay and while i did enjoy the flavor overall, there was an addition (not mentioned in the chowder description) of a swirl of chili oil on the side of the chowder. I did not mix it into the chowder and realized later when I had a burning sensation across the middle of my tongue that it likely from a line of chili oil. This was not a pleasant sensation and for a while I wondered if I was having an allergic reaction to the chowder. It subsided after about half an hour. I'm not sure why adding chili oil to New England clam chowder is a good thing and it also wasn't listed as an ingredient on the menu. If there had been no chili oil, I would have given the chowder a 5/5 for flavor. - 2025 Claw Down Winner Lobster Bite - 4/5, $18 is a LOT to pay for a tiny silver dollar pancake with some creme and a few bites of lobster on top. Maybe it's the caviar that drives that price but I did not think it was worth the cost (but it did meet my goal of having lobster every day in Maine) - goat cheese and peach salad - 5/5, I loved the tiny little fried goat cheese balls and the ratio of goat cheese to spring lettuce to peaches was good with a light dressing. I would have liked a little more greens and a little less radicchio in the spring lettuce ratio though. - halibut - 4/5, it was a sizable portion of halibut with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. Half of the halibut was done well and flavorful, the edges composing the other half though was rather dry and lacking in flavor. Curious. - scallops - 5/5, five scallops which were very flavorful with a celery puree and three halves of a baby carrot. Delicious but minimalist for sure in its size and presentation. this was the best item we had along with the salad. Note 1: we saw all the other tables receive an amuse bouche which looked like a shooter of something but despite all the check-ins from the floor manager and our server we somehow did not receive the amuse bouche. Note 2: It was chilly so we changed our reservation last minute to move into the dining room as opposed to sitting on the deck, which we were very glad about as it did not appear they have any heaters on the deck which we definitely had in the past times we've dined on the deck when it wasn't even as cold as 60 degrees (as it was last night) For the price and over-service (my husband tried to avoid engaging with the floor manager for the third time when we exited the restaurant but we were intercepted), and good but not great food, I'm not sure we'll be making a point to return to Coastal Prime next time we're in town.

Service: All of their wait staff was exceptional. They were courteous and went the extra mile to make dinner a fine dining experience. The only weak point was their hostess. I had a reservation but still had to wait ~15 minutes for a table after waiting ~5 minutes for the hostess to show up in the first place. Once the hostess was working again she regularly brushed past customers waiting in their overfilled waiting area and glared at people in her way. Today we came for a warm bowl of soup and fireplace , since it's chilly and raining outside. The clam chowder is a must ! It's honestly the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. It has a lot of the clam juice in it , so it's very flavorful and not overly thick like most clam chowders . It's perfectly balanced and full of clams. We also got the French onion soup. I really enjoyed their version of this classic. It has bourbon in it and has a very unique flavor. It's rich and has plenty of onions and broiled cheese on top. It has a flavor of its own , so don't come expecting your typical French onion soup! My hubby ordered the Maine lobster roll with a side salad, Instead of fries. I ordered the fish and chips remembering how tasty it was last summer! I'd probably skip the fish n chips. I didn't particularly love the taste of the fried fish. ( maybe because I am seed oil free! I'm not saying they cook with seed oils , I would just choose something else, next time ,because there are so many delicious choices ! ) Definitely check out my food pics attached! The lobster roll on their warm buttery roll is delicious! It's A nice size, too. His side salad was super fresh. The service here is excellent! Bradford was very friendly and helpful. We would've never discovered the ridiculously delicious clam chowder had he not recommended it! My only disappointment was that the fireplace wasn't burning. They said they only turn it on in the evening. They tried to clean it and get it going for us, though, so I really appreciate the effort ! They have a great staff , beautiful ambiance and a wide, delicious choice of food on their menu! If the owners read this review, perhaps they could compromise on cold rainy days and provide the fire place. I promise it will encourage more people to come in ! Pleasant surprise- they got the fireplace going as we were finishing our lunch so we moved to the chairs in front of the fireplace and just sat and enjoyed it for a few moments afterwards. Such a cozy spot.
