a plate of food left on the table

Have been here twice. The steak ribeye was pretty good. The cod is to DIE FOR!! I just got back from vacation if florida and the cod here was better than most places I visited. Absolutely a stop when in town. Ps the bathrooms are a nice touch!

The atmosphere of this trendy restaurant is lovely. Great patio with fire pit. The service was slow, even though they were not busy. Maybe they forgot about us on the patio.? They offer a gluten bun. It was so so. The prime burger on it however was juicy and tasty as were the fries! Good lunch prices. Got out of there for $8 for a burger, fries and water + tip

The Cherry Limeade And Pretzels

Watt Street Tavern is another Circleville bar. It's the nicest looking one. The place is a mess at the Pumpkin Festival. Most other times it's okay. The drinks are great but the food is not at all special. I had a Cherry Limeade. It's about $5 at happy hour. This is made with cherry vodka. It also has muddled cherries. This is strong and sweet. It would have been nice if the food was as good. There's not much that's exciting on the food menu. It has typical stuff you get in a bar. The presentation is just fancier, therefore it costs more for this. I had the soft baked pretzels. It's about $8 for three. These are much like the frozen Super Pretzels, and the whole box is cheaper than that. According to the menu these are garnished with scallions, but there weren't any. The mustard it came with was just okay. You can go here for good cocktails. Food is just typical bar quality. The food is also overpriced for what they give you.

They have a great party room for celebrations. We have used it several times and have never been disappointed. Our waitress this last gathering was Mia and she was on the ball! The food has never disappointed either, whether it's meals ordered individually from the menu or salad/pizza buffet.

Beef taco special
Adam S.

I only review outstanding experiences. Chicken and waffles are FIRE my friend liked them so much he ordered some to go for later. Taco special was incredible - the hard shell was fried with cheese powder and spice on the outside and the beef was incredible. The rice and beans were flavorful with slight spice. The beer menu WAS their Untappd page and up to date with at least 3 banger local brews. 5. Stars.

Stir fry chicken

I had a chance to visit Watt Street Tavern for lunch on a random, sunny Tuesday in May. After checking out their goods on Yelp, I thought this place seemed like a pretty cool place in Circleville to try out. As I write this review, I still have mixed feelings on my dining experience. So, I'll leave it at 3 stars with a revisit in the near future for dinner. Parking was easy, ambiance kinda cool, service at lunch was fine, food was ok. Here's the crux for me, I had much higher expectations for the food. After surveying the menu, we decided on wings, nachos and stir fry chicken. Nothing super special except it could be found in any other restaurant in Circleville. That's just it for me, this place has plenty of upside potential. It just needs a menu overhaul for me to kick it to the 5 star potential I expected when I first found them on Yelp.

Pulled pork potato skins
Crystal B.

First off I didn't read the menu closely enough I thought I was getting pulled pork with a side of Mac n cheese and potato skins. When this arrived I realized my error. It was all mixed together. But it turned out to be a pleasant surprise because I liked it. I sat outside where a band was playing. They have a nice outside area that's great for summer.

We ordered the Cajun omelette and an order of biscuits & gravy and shared. Great choices

The Cajun omelette was perfection! Eggs just right, delicious. Potatoes cooked just right and biscuits homemade with really good gravy. I can't say enough about this place. Everything exceptional!

Hamburgers seemed like they were pulled out of the freezer and grilled up. Not much flavor. Appetizers and the staff were great.

Ordered the round town burger medium. It arrived medium well, however, was flavorful and delicious. The bourbon glazed onions and malt vinegar aioli paired well with the burger. Our Order: For starters our sppetizers were the buffalo chicken dip and the spinach artichoke dip. Our main dishes were the Pasta Primavera and Round town Burger with fries. Our drinks were the wrench and whiskey and a black diamond mule. Execution of Our Order: the spinach and artichoke dip was great it had great flavor and was very enjoyable. The buffalo do tasted like it was out of a can and was very unappetizing to be honest. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the vegetables could be cooked a little bit more, and the sauce tasted great. The burger was overcooked and unseasoned which made it kind of dry to eat, the Fry's were fine and tasted okay. The drinks were interesting, we were not a fan of the house drinks personally. We tried to order regular mixed drinks but the bar didn't have half the ingredients which was disappointing. Seating: we sat on the bar side at the high top both times we were here and we liked those. They have booths, low tables, high tables and bar seating available. Staff and Services: our server both times were not very attentive, we came later in the evening and there was not very many people so really no excuse to not check on us. We waited 10min after being seated before we got her to take our drink and appetizer orders. She brings us our drinks and we asked about the appetizers she said they was coming. So we put in our food order. Here's where it was backwards, it took 20 min to get our food no worries but still no appetizers she apparently had forgotten to put them in so we got them shortly after we got our food. Drink Menu: small drink menu but different options for everyone Food Menu: There's a variety of food definitely something for everyone Prices: $$-$$$ Cleanliness: Very Clean Ombiance: Quiet Overall Experience: Sadly not great I don't think we will be coming here again Rating: 2/5 Recommendation: No Family Friendly: Yes Stroller/Wheelchair Friendly: Strollers no, Wheelchairs yes and no, if your back in the bar area it's too close seating there's no room for Wheelchairs, if your in the front room yes there is room for Wheelchairs at some of the tables

If you're expecting anything fancy you're in the wrong bar. The service is average which makes it comparatively good. Any bar in this town is a dive bar. It's just called being realistic. This place isn't much different except that it's the most popular because it's named for the only reason most people know anything about this town. If you're going at any other time of the year it's usually not too busy. They of course have pumpkin flavored beer, cocktails, and shots. It's about $3 for something like an old fashioned. The prices are pretty good, which makes it worth checking out. I would go to Tootle's the next time in Circleville. If you're there at the festival expect it to be filled to the gills. The rest of the year has some good shows too.

A bunch of us Columbusites went down to Roundtown last night to see Wayne "The Train" Hancock (with Whitey Morgan and the Old 78's) at Tootles. It's a pretty nice bar/music venue, with ample standing room and plenty of local flavor. I wouldn't say rush down to Circleville when nothing is going on there, but if there's a show you want to see, this is a comfy and friendly venue. I do think it's hilarious that the Circleville Pumpkin Festival is such a big deal - ze boy and I were slightly weirded out by it (and the general lack of pumpkin-ness!) when we went on its last day a couple weeks ago, but I won't knock the only major thing Circleville, OH is known for. I will say, though, that the legacy lives on at Tootle's, which uses the pumpkin as a theme on its tshirts, for its drinks, etc etc. (I wasn't drinking, so I can't tell you about that part, except that my friends were downing tall boys of beers I didn't know came in tall boys - Miller High Life, for example)... Anyway, I like the space, as its large, open, and friendly. I enjoyed watching hipsters mingle with rockabillies mingle with townies mingle with my metalhead/Columbus freak friends. Everyone seemed to get along, and everyone knew all the words to Wayne the Train's songs, which made it even more fun. Like I said, this is a good local venue/pub. If you're in town, and looking for a good place to go, I'd say go here. But you can find the same in Columbus without driving 45 minutes, so just keep that in mind. Tootles does seem to have a lot of quality country/southern rock shows going on, so if you like that kind of music, definitely take a look at their schedule. I definitely recommend Wayne Hancock and Whitey Morgan. And of course, Tootles, should you be in Circleville!

The place has that classic small-town dive bar feel, the kind of spot where you walk in expecting a casual bite and end up being pleasantly surprised by how good the food actually is. It's relaxed, welcoming, and feels like a place locals probably keep to themselves. We started with something called Hillbilly Calamari, and despite the name, there's no squid involved. Instead, it's sliced banana peppers lightly breaded and fried, served with ranch. They were crispy, tangy, and had just the right little kick. A really fun and unique starter. Served with ranch dressing 9/10 But the wings absolutely stole the show. They're slow smoked first and then flash fried, which gives them a great smoky flavor while keeping the outside crispy and the inside juicy and tender. I tried two flavors -- Cody's mix which was Bourbon BBQ mixed with spicy garlic which had a great smoky flavor a sweet and savory richness with a hint of kick from the bourbon and I ordered the Spicy Garlic, which packed a bold garlicky heat that really popped. Both wings were excellent. 20/10 And of course, you can't go wrong with the fresh-cut fries on the side. Fries were good, but could have been a little crispier for my preference. 7/10 One of the coolest things about the place is the grill right behind the bar, where you can watch them as they're cooking your burger while you watch. It adds to that laid-back, old-school bar atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel authentic. Katy was are server and she was super friendly and on top of refills and kept checking on us. This is definitely a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. If you're anywhere near Ashville, this is definitely worth a stop. Great wings, fun appetizers, and a relaxed neighborhood vibe make it a place I'd happily come back to for another bite!! Have a great day from Brian From Brian's Big Bite

My girlfriend opted for the glazed salmon which came with rice and asparagus but she substituted the asparagus with mashed potatoes. I had their Thanksgiving fare which included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans. We ordered the Avocado Deviled Eggs for an appetizer. The Avocado Deviled Eggs were delicious, slightly tart, and had a salsa flavor. We really liked them. My girlfriend really liked her salmon. The portion was a really nice size. My thanksgiving meal was delicious. The turkey was really good, mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the green beans were cooked just right. Green beans a lot of times have a tendency to be overcooked where they are a little soggy or undercooked where they are too raw. These were cooked just right. The stuffing was good but a little dry. But I'm not really a stuffing guy. For dessert I had the tiramisu which was in small jar topped with some strawberries! It was also and a great way to end the meal. My girlfriend had the Dark Chocolate Terrine. She said it was dense and rich in chocolate flavor. We did check out the outdoor area after we ate. This would be a really nice place to eat outside in the spring or summer. There was an igloo-style structure you could eat in during colder months. I giving this establishment five stars. We had a 3:30 pm reservation, arrived at 3:00 pm and were immediately seated. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and the food was really good. It's a trendy restaurant with clean restrooms and this would be an ideal place to eat at with friends and family. It has a casual vibe, not overly classy but still special.
