Stopped in for lunch while visiting with a friend from Seattle. At first glance all.ools well and clean. There was a stronger small of cleaner in the air than I prefer at a restaurant, very noticeable. That said, I ordered a Manhattan to start the meal. A few minutes later our server returned and informed me that couldn't make a cocktail as they didn't have a bartender! Disappointing! They were able to accommodate a draft IPA. For a starter we ordered their fried pickles. They arrived piping hot with a side of their Southwest Ranch. The breading looked delicious but someone miss measured the salt! The same person also miss measured the Tobacco in the Southwest Ranch as well. They were a big disappointment as well. The bisque was fairly good as was the meatball sub. Not sure when/if we'll ever get back to Circleville. read more

Came here for a friend's birthday so there was about 12 of us. Atmosphere looks fine. Pretty clean environment. The potato skins were good, they had this cheese beer dip that went well with the potato. I ordered their 12oz. Ribeye with Side Salad and Steak Fries. And another friend of my friend got a steak as well. I'm putting this politely, but... DO. NOT. ORDER. A STEAK. HERE. EVER. The taste was so bland, it almost like it was cooked in a microwave. The fat almost had a gamey taste to it that I almost threw up. The steak honestly might be bad. The friend that has the same meal as I did, had the same exact experience, but he was too nice to say something, he only took a couple bites. Mind you, I have not eaten at all, I could probably ate the thing even if it's below average. But the steak was honestly the worst one I've had. The steak fries look like it was taken from the very bottom of the barrel cause they look like lil baby fries and it was cold. When I said something about my steak to the waitress, it almost as if she knew it was going to happen. Like this is a common occurring scenario. By the way, this steak was $29. No clue where that $29 came from. I tried my fiancés cod fish and those were good. If you decide to go here, go for hand food, not their main entree's. read more

What do they have going good for them? The meatballs are excellent. IF they have food and beer in stock, it can be a solid place. Unfortunately, it's the nicest restaurant in Circleville. We really need a better option. Again, food is decent if they have it. As far as management is concerned, ugh... the owner doesn't live in Ohio. When he's in town, everyone is on their best behavior. But when the cat's away... I'll be back again, because I have few options. There's not much to choose from in Circleville. There are a couple solid bartenders who I love. Sit at the bar and order the meatballs. The patio is nice and they have a great party room but again, the service is hard when not sitting at the bar. Good and bad with this restaurant. Good is the pizza and service. Pizza is hands down the best thing they have there. It never disappoints. The service is good and the people that work there are always incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a great addition to Circleville and I'm so happy this is an option. Now the bad. Prices, alcohol and quality of other food. The prices are extremely high for the area and the food quality. I feel like they are trying to be a high end restaurant and it's just not that. Sometimes the menu just doesn't make sense and is all over the place. And with the alcohol, you have to use a QR reader to view it. Not a single paper list of drinks in the whole restaurant and the bartender has no idea what they have. Like I said, I'm thrilled that this restaurant is here. It gives everyone another option in the short list of restaurants in the city. The pizza is definitely the shining star for this place! Traveling through & stopped because the Google reviews were good. Spouse received a sandwich for $11 with fries extra. Watt Street Tavern is another Circleville bar. It's the nicest looking one. The place is a mess at the Pumpkin Festival. Most other times it's okay. The drinks are great but the food is not at all special. I had a Cherry Limeade. It's about $5 at happy hour. This is made with cherry vodka. It also has muddled cherries. This is strong and sweet. It would have been nice if the food was as good. There's not much that's exciting on the food menu. It has typical stuff you get in a bar. The presentation is just fancier, therefore it costs more for this. I had the soft baked pretzels. It's about $8 for three. These are much like the frozen Super Pretzels, and the whole box is cheaper than that. According to the menu these are garnished with scallions, but there weren't any. The mustard it came with was just okay. You can go here for good cocktails. Food is just typical bar quality. The food is also overpriced for what they give you. read more

I only review outstanding experiences. Chicken and waffles are FIRE my friend liked them so much he ordered some to go for later. Taco special was incredible - the hard shell was fried with cheese powder and spice on the outside and the beef was incredible. The rice and beans were flavorful with slight spice. They used to be good when we first moved down here. Sort of like all other restaurants, their food quality has gone very down hill and their prices have gone way higher. We used to love their fresh fries. The last two times they were in old nasty tasting grease making them dark brown. And seemed to be the end of the barrel crumbs. We just happened to be driving through Circleville, Ohio, en route from North Carolina to Indiana. We are staying at a local bed-and-breakfast, so we stopped here for dinner at the recommendation of the B&B owner. Oh my goodness! We are not disappointed! We've been steered to one of the best places in town I'm sure! I had the Ribeye Steak, which was cooked to perfection. Very tender and flavorful. My husband had the Pork Ribeye Steak. While my beef ribeye was excellent, we were overwhelmed with the flavor of his pork ribeye. It was tender, juicy and oh, so delicious! We would return to this town for that dish alone. My wife and I stopped in for dinner as we traveled West. The food was surprisingly fantastic! My wife ordered the ribeye which was perfectly cooked. I ordered the "pork ribeye", which I had never heard of. It was amazing! I have never had pork that was this delicious. It was soft, tender and perfectly seasoned. Their QPR is off the charts! After checking out their goods on Yelp, I thought this place seemed like a pretty cool place in Circleville to try out. As I write this review, I still have mixed feelings on my dining experience. So, I'll leave it at 3 stars with a revisit in the near future for dinner. Parking was easy, ambiance kinda cool, service at lunch was fine, food was ok. Here's the crux for me, I had much higher expectations for the food. After surveying the menu, we decided on wings, nachos and stir fry chicken. Nothing super special except it could be found in any other restaurant in Circleville. That's just it for me, this place has plenty of upside potential. It just needs a menu overhaul for me to kick it to the 5 star potential I expected when I first found them on Yelp. read more

First off I didn't read the menu closely enough I thought I was getting pulled pork with a side of Mac n cheese and potato skins. When this arrived I realized my error. It was all mixed together. I was really excited to go to a non chain restaurant and I've been eyeing this one for a while. Service was good. The portions were sad for the price you paid. There weren't many fries and the burger was small. The fries and burger did taste really good though but my wrap on the other hand was a little soggy. I love supporting small businesses so we may come back and try the pizza but overall I'll have to rate 3/5 read more

First time here. Place is cozy and comfortable inside with fine furniture. The menu was ample with lots to choose from. I had shrimp pizza which was excellent. Hubby had chicken cordon blue which he said was delicious. Service was good. Went back tonight and sat outside. Their happy happy hour goes to 6:30pm on Saturday! I had two Long Beach ice tea which were $4 a piece! Such a great deal. We shared 12 boneless wings which were $9.99 in Happy Hour! They were enough as a meal! Then, I had the pork sub which was delicious! Had to take most of this home. Hubby had the Ruben which he very much enjoyed! Looking forward to going back! Service was excellent! Went back tonight for dinner and had great service and delicious food. Got there just before Happy Hour ended . Got Long Island ice tea for $3.75 and it was delicious! What the heck is going on at Watt Street? Salad sub par. No corn in the corn chowder. Out of lettuce wedges. No potato skins. Had to ask for bread and it was microwaved salty breadsticks. Sausage in the red beans and rice was overcooked until it was crispy. This has been our go to place in Circleville and suddenly the food was awful. I will give them credit (2 stars)for the perfectly baked salmon but they didnt even ask which sauce I wanted on it so didnt have any. In the past they have had a great mango salsa. Missing items which we waited another 20 minutes and finally told the waitress(who we had to walk around to find) to forget them and we just wanted the bill. 20 minutes later we had to go to the bar to cash out because the waitress was no where to be found. Exploring South - Central Ohio (Circleville) last Sunday and found Watt Street Tavern. Walked in at 1:30PM (They close at 2:00PM on Sunday). You could tell they were getting ready to go home for the day but the hostess greeted us with a smile (First surprise). We asked if the really had time and we could come back another time but Jessica just kept the smile going and seated us (Second surprise). Since they just started opening on Sundays, they only had breakfast menus. We didn't want breakfast so Jessica asked "What would you like?" and commenced to spouting off a list of items (Surprise number 3). I chose a Tavern Club, wife chose the Hot Stack. This is our go to for pizza in Circleville. Normally awesome. We got a pepperoni for my husband and it was awesome as always. I got the Buffalo chicken pizza for the fist time. Once we got home, I discovered there was no "Buffalo" or ranch anywhere so what I had was a cheese and chicken pizza. Very dry and no taste. It was disappointing. I still recommend the restaurant but they need to be consistent. There have been other issues and COVID shouldn't be blamed for not having all the ingredients in your food. read more

I have tried to give this place a chance so many times. The decor is nice and the service most of the time isn't terrible. However, the food always disappoints. The "crab" corn chowder is made with imitation crab and is super salty. They literally put cooked mushrooms on their chicken salads. Also, the menu does not offer much variety. Found this little gem by accident. We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised, as we've had bad experiences at independent restaurants in small towns in central Ohio. The food was great, beer was cold and reasonably priced, preseason football on TV, and the server/bartender was attentive, friendly, and willing to interact. Delicious food, great ambience and a friendly staff. The only downfall was the big OSU presence, haha, Go Blue!! If you're a buckeye fan they had a very nice buffet with all the favorite football food, and I mean ALL during the game. My husband got that, it was only $12.99. I got the jambalaya. It was ok, kind of heavy on the tomatoes. I'll try something else next time. The rolls that came with it tho we're outstanding. One review said they had a nice selection of beers on tap, no IPA's or a pale ale. I was disappointed in that. Nothing in a bottle either. They have a very nice patio with a fire pit and large T.V. I worked here and never have a met in one on ones with upper management where they protected abusers as much as they did. It's sickening. The food was always decent, something's were better than others, but some service is garbage. The mood of the restaurant is poisoned by the simple fact there are so many people who get away with abuse, harassment and mistreatment here. When brought to upper management, it was a whole conversation of the most gaslighting situation I've ever seen. It's ridiculous and I am severely disgusted at how they handled the situation. Value one mediocre cook over the safety and security of ALL the women in the building. I am appalled that even still these things are happening after I have terminated employment. I spoke up and asked for basic needs and lost every ounce of my hours over simply asking for an extra shirt because none of mine were presentable. I would have rated this place 5 stars but they are super cheap with their lunch portions but still charge hefty prices. At least let the portions dictate the prices. I will say thought the good is simply delicious. Either alter your prices for the portions or I don't see myself coming back. I counted 8 fries on my plate today. No likie having to get racked over the coals for price gouging. read more
