We only wanted a couple drinks - and as the crowd was coming and going we didn't want to take up too much space. When I went up to order - they asked if I wanted a plastic cup to go! You can get a beer and peruse the market. Not our end-game this time, as I was planning to build a six-pack. Both ladies working were flying back and forth, taking care of people coming up to the bar, sitting at the bar, and every person that walked up to the register (some people were buying drinks to go, some in cups to walk, and a few people grabbed some of the limited seating present). They have a pretty decent selection of wines and beers available for purchase - some beers on shelves, and a decent selection in a cooler. I had narrowed down to a few choices, and I asked for suggestions and the bartender hopped over and lead the way, and talked about several beers with me (after the usual "what kind of beer do you like? question... which for me is, "yes, please."). She gave me excellent suggestions, and I moved from a 4-pack (you get a discount) to a (more discounts!) 6-pack. They have a GOOD selection for the North Market. It's not the best in the world, and it may not beat a place near where you live, but if you're in the North Market, and you want a good beer and good vibes in a little corner? The Barrel & Bottle has you covered.

This is clearly the source for craft beer, either to buy and take home or enjoy a glass on premises, even with a few tables outside. While I wasn't able to stay to have something on tap, there were plenty of people there after 5pm on a Monday. With at least four doors of cooler space dedicated to craft beer, the floor was divided up between beer and wine. Specifically on selection, you can be sure to find options from around Ohio and brands with more national distribution. I saw a variety of Mad Tree (Columbus) cans, a few 750 mL bottles from Rockmill Brewery (Lancaster) and since it was summer I got a six-pack of Revolution's (Chicago) rosa hibiscus ale. The Beverage Source doesn't look like much on the outside, but the convenient location off highway 16 makes this an obvious option if you are in the area, be it for a night or simply passing through.

Last night was Fiesta Flight Night and they had a Mexican food truck on location as well. It's a great time with all hands on deck preparing the curated, themed flights. The employees are all friendly and all smiles. In addition to the food truck, they have a market set up with local vendors which is fun to peruse. The coffees were delicious last night and full of flavor! My favorite coffee was the Horchata Chai, but the Mango Fresca was also refreshing! Check them out; they're a wonderful coffee shop!

When back in the area I'll probably try another spot, before I return. However, the helpful and friendly service and atmosphere was definitely worth it to give this small business a try.

We had no intention of staying afterward, since we walked in less than an hour before closing time. Once our tasting was done, my wife and I decided on three wines to take home. His wines are unique in comparison to most of the central Ohio wineries- we've been to almost every one. I can drink all types of wines, my wife is only into dry reds. She was not crazy about the dry reds, so she let me pick and I went with three wines on the sweeter side. There is not much to the space inside of the building, but especially on a nice day, there are a few tables out on his patio to either do a tasting or drink a bottle.
