Salmon
Donna T.

I went here on a Sat night. I sat in the bar. Courtney was my server who was amazing. I started with the lobster cargo. Really good but less lemon and more cheese please. My entree was the salmon. The tomatoes were fantastic. I paired it all with a really good cab. My dessert was a mint chocolate martini. Yum. I asked for no parsley but my entree had it so they redid it with no complaints. Tip: the city parking garage is right by it. I paid $5 for event parking. No need to valet. Do watch out for first Saturdays at Sundance Square as it causes a lot of street closures which makes it challenging to get to the restaurant. The bar is very cozy.

Hush puppies with jalapeños. 10/10

These Dallasites were in Cowtown for a concert at Dickie's Arena and decided to happy hour at Waters. I'm so glad we did! We loved everything about this restaurant and so wish we had one in Dallas. The ambiance is elevated, but not at all stuffy. We sat at the bar (in quite comfortable bar stools) and ordered the Dirty Dozen oysters...comprised of two each of six varieties served with horse radish, cocktail sauce and mignonette. They were delicious. Next we got the hush puppies. 10/10! Some of the best I've ever had, fried crisp with corn in the batter and served with honey butter and fried jalapeño chips that were all flavor and no heat. Next we got the marinated shrimp cocktail...also delicious and HUGE! This would easily serve 4 as an appetizer or work as a very hearty lunch or dinner paired with a salad. The shrimp were tossed in a homemade cocktail-like sauce. Very flavorful, but light at the same time. Wine is $5 a glass at happy hour (when was the last time you paid $5 for a glass of wine?), and the house Chardonnay is really nice. Service was impeccable, and the bartender was warm and friendly. We will try to make it here every time we visit Fort Worth!

Chicken burger

I was in court getting sworn in as a CASA (message me if you want to know more! It's a great volunteer opportunity) so afterwards, my husband and I had lunch at Waters. We've heard from friends that this place was delicious so we tried it out. We were there for lunch time so their menu was limited. Husband had the chicken burger/sandwich and I had the gumbo. The chicken sandwich had a huge piece of chicken. Husband seemed to like it. He finished it. Fries were also very delicious. The gumbo was very good. Reminded me of Louisiana. The shrimp was large and they gave a good amount of it. I wasn't even able to finish it all. I saved some for my dad. Overall, really nice experience. Our waitress was incredibly nice and attentive. I would describe the ambiance as casual with modern decor. It felt really light and airy. I would definitely come back for dinner to see their offerings. Oh and parking was not bad. We got parking right in front of their door.

Came for dinner with my mom and we had a good dining experience. We were seated immediately; however, it took a while for our waiter to arrive. Once she arrived, she did provide excellent customer service throughout the dining experience. We ordered drinks and appetizers - lemon drop martini and margarita - cup of gumbo and crab cake. I enjoyed the crab cake especially the tartar sauce served with it and the lemon drop was delicious. For mains, we both ordered the salmon and added mashed potatoes. The salmon was nicely cooked and we enjoyed the sides that came with it. The only downside was the wait, again, between our appetizer and main. Overall, we enjoyed our experience despite the delays and would recommend this spot. If you're eating here prior to a Bass Hall Performance - I would aim for 2 hours to be there.

Will return. Chef John Bonnell's restaurant. They're near the Sundance Sq in downtown, on the corner of Main St. and E 2nd St.; high ceiling, industrial, pleasant on the eye. Good stem Schott Zwiese (I prefer Riedel), mini decanters (single-serve carafes) ... which might add a touch of elegance and sophistication (?) but, actually, I'd rather not to have my wine wash through one more medium ...   Our female server looks seasoned, with a big seasoned smile. We've  crab cake - the best I've had so far: love and appreciate the nuts Ruby red trout - very good  oysters texasfellar - very good  After the appetizer she asked us if we'd like some bread ... yes but no and I told her she's a bad girl -:) Well stocked bathroom, from hand cream to mouthwash - a good natured bitching: shouldn't the mouthwash be the purple colored Total Care? ha ha ha ... Thank you.

The amazing staff was able to accommodate our party of 30 at Waters Texas in Sundance Square. It offers an upscale dining experience specializing in steak and seafood. The menu features a variety of dishes, including gumbo, oysters, halibut, Lobster, Fish and Chips, and filet mignon. It was a company dinner event, so the menu was preselected with 3 choices of an appetizer, soup/salad, entree, and dessert. I ordered the seafood gumbo and lobster tails with an Espresso Martini. The gumbo wasn't Louisiana gumbo but it was ok. The Lobster Tails lacked flavor, a bit rubbery, and too salty for my pallet. I love the ambiance, service, and selection of cocktails. It is a nice restaurant to watch the game, for datenight, or to enjoy happy hour. I am not opposed to dining-in again under different circumstances the next time I am in the Fort Worth area.

I heard this place had a good happy hour so had to try it out myself. The happy hour is from 4-6. Had different choices for food and so many drinks to choose from. I forgot the bartender's name but she was very attentive and super nice. I got the ceviche and lemon drop martini and both were delicious. When I first walked in I thought it was too nice for my liking but definitely a chill place but still fancy. Can't wait to go back!

The Dirty Dozen

Happy hour is amazing with great deals! Went during Christmas and the place was cutely decorated for the holidays. Sat at the bar and had very attentive service from the bartender. He made sure to get us another drink order before the end of happy hour. Food wise did The Dirty Dozen (6 different east coast oysters), Oysters Sundance, and the White Cheddar and Roasted Corn Hushpuppies. Every bite was delicious, and I wanted more of everything.

The food was excellent but the service was not the best. We made a reservation for 8 for our anniversary and arrived about 8:10. We checked in and were told to have a seat. We did but it was taking so long, we walked around to find another restaurant, since we were not getting much eye contact or many updates. While debating Del Frisco in Sundance, the text went off saying our seat was ready after 8:30. When we got back, the host made us aware of another seat that was available near a window like I asked in my reservation. We were not seated until after 9. That hour wait put a stain on my feelings. The waiter Andrew was excellent and helped turn the situation around. Great people person and very professional. His recommendations helped our order and the food was perfect and I plan to try my lobster recipe at home! The ambiance was boat/fishing/water chic and there were 3 sections to the restaurant; the bar, the restaurant, the patio, pretty big place. There was a theme and they stuck to it in a classy way.

Steak frites

Waters is one of my favorite Fort Worth restaurants. I've been twice and each time I had an amazing experience. I came once during happy hour and it was so much fun. You get such a great deal on their oysters and drinks. Also, they have several appetizers on happy hour so you can get filled up pretty quick. Sitting at the bar meant we had excellent service and got to enjoy a festive atmosphere with other folks as we unwound from a long day of work. I also came for dinner once and had a truly exceptional experience. This time, I had the steak frites as it was a special and it was so delicious. Yes, this is a seafood restaurant with amazing seafood, but don't sleep on their steaks!

Went to Waters for our anniversary. Service was top notch and food was beyond amazing. The manager Jen, was spectacular! She made sure we were well taken care of. Our waitress Isabella was also great! One of the best servers I've ever came across. If I could give 10 stars I would! Highly recommend!

I came here with my husband to celebrate Valentine's day (one day late). We had a reservation so we were seated right away. The restaurant was decorated for the occasion with heart balloons and Valentine's colors. We started with cocktails, my husband ordered a bourbon cocktail and I ordered their margarita. Decided to go with the "Texasfeller" (Crispy Fried Oysters) for the appetizer, they were very good. For my main course I ordered the Cajun Sea Scallops, my husband ordered the Halibut, both were delicious! I wish I remembered the name of our waitress cause she was very nice and gave us excellent service. Will definitely go back to try more of their menu.

Goat cheese salad

What a great experience. We booked our reservation Open Table, with a note of our anniversary. We were greeted and anniversary acknowledged, sweet treat and when leaving the hostess even remembered and said it again. Such a nice touch. Service was fantastic. And when I requested a sangria, not normally on the menu, they made me one and it was super tasty. We did the seafood tower, a great deal for everything on it and a wonderful way to sample so many great items. Also... who knew shrimp cups could be so good. Oysters, large shrimp, ahi tuna, ceviche. Do it. Bread was delicious. For my dinner, I got the goat cheese salad... wow, it's as yummy as everyone said on here and the crab cakes (2). He got the gumbo, full of meaty goodness and a 12 ounce lobster tail. And we did the large lobster mac. It was good but not a knock out. Everything else was amazing. Highly recommend. So close to sundance square and a lovely stroll.

Ask the Community - Waters Texas

Is valet parking available ? I am bringing an elderly mom who needs her walker (and who would kill me for posting this!)

Valet is offered through Sundance Square. They have a stand at the second street entrance. $7 per 30 minutes with $21 maximum. Street parking is also an option. Hope to see you soon!

What's the dress code?

Waters Restaurant's dress code is "business casual" - we like to call it Fort Worth Fancy. Jackets are not required. We ask that you do not wear baseball caps in the dining room. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!

Will you bring back the Caesars salad with the smoked anchovy's? The salad used to be special. The best I've eaten. Without it, it is just average.

I'm really wanting to become an elite, any suggestions?

We fell in love with Grand Cru!…read more Let me start by saying I have HATED mushrooms my whole life. Never has there ever been a time where I can eat them or ANYTHING containing them without gagging....UNTIL GRAND CRU. I tried their mushroom flatbread on a (very nervous) whim due to a free sample, and immediately fell in love. We loved it so much that we came back shortly after just to order another! Wine selection here is amazing, and the service has always been so friendly. We always feel at home. Cost inside, too with warm and low lighting. I highly recommend Grand Cru.
