I contracted Mr. Home to do some mold removal, remove old insulation, and install vents. While attempting to do these things they destroyed my bathroom ceiling, ventilation system, and bedroom ceiling. They tried to pull a fast one and just spray the mold and leave all the concentrations on the far ends of the attic where they were probably hoping I would not look. The jerk that came to look at the damages and job that was not done attempted to tell me that the mold was dead, and the wood was stained. This was not the case, I had Servpro come out and they tested the mold which was still alive, and they were able to scrub it all off (highly recommend Servpro). Their attempted "fix" of my bedroom ceiling that they ruined was to drive screws into an old piece of lumber that they found in the attic and slap a coat of paint on it. They did not even bother to sand it. They also destroyed my drop ceiling and left me with 4 ruined ceiling tiles. This cost me $200 to get fixed. I have attached pictures that I took after they left and said they were done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 1 star is too much.

All of our interactions/communications were very positive. Before the job, everything was very transparent from pricing, the work to be done, options available, etc. And the crew performing the work was extremely professional. Prior to contacting Premier, we had water issues in our basement which made our basement nearly unusable; after getting moderate rain we'd get big puddles of water. After Premier installed the french drain, the basement has become our home office, our workout room, and we can store things without worrying about water damage. Four years later, the basement has been BONE DRY ever since - no water whatsoever, no matter had hard it rains. If you're on the fence, I can say: "do it" - it's been 100% worth it for us, and has transformed the way we use our basement. And Premier Basement Waterproofing is absolutely the company to use, to get the job done right.

Marvin the young man who ran the job site is absolutely amazing , I can't say enough good things about him . The price was a little higher than quotes that came in after I went with Premier but if I had those quotes before and could of saved 2k I would choose not to and stay with Premier mainly because of those 3 people I named. I had a foot of water in my basement after a storm, Marvin arrived and put a sump pump in to drain all the water . He got Jerry to come in and look it over for a quote. I'll post the price and work done. - Came out and drained all the water with sump pump - they demoed a whole room , taking down all the walls , heating system and doors then disposed of all the wood. -they dug , installed about 100 sq feet of French drain , poured drainage gravel on top then re-cemented over it. - they installed a 2 pump system with battery back up and alarm - they installed a moisture barrier on the entire basement - They dug a trench and ran sump line out to safe area outside - Took 3 full days to complete - they stayed until 9pm on a Friday to be sure it was 100% completed. - everything was about 15k in total If you use them make sure you ask for Marvin to do the work , he's very honest and answers all your questions without trying to upsell anything . They literally just left my house at 9pm because they wanted it finished before tomorrows rain , only thing left is Jerry was going to have someone reconnect the heating but everything water proof wise is complete. I'll update the review if there's any issues but as of this moment I've never felt better about a service.

This company…read moreactually charges $150 to do an estimate when no other similar companies I spoke to charge for this. I'm not sure why I even agreed to it but they said it was refundable if I chose them so I did it. Gill came out and spent maybe 20 minutes at my house and then he sent a very unclear and incorrect estimate to me a few days later. When I said that I did want to hire them to do the work but asked them to add one short clarifying statement to the contract, I literally never heard from them again!! The same person who had always emailed me back the same day has not even bothered to respond for weeks. So now I am out $150 and left feeling like the "estimate" they charged me for was a total scam and that they make money just doing these so-called estimates and never really even plan to do the work. What a waste of money and time...Hoping to save someone else from losing money.

I received an email response from owner Curt, "You are currently out of our service area. You can try XYZ Company". His email signature's phone number had a 617 area code (Boston) and my property is in western MA, so I wondered if my query had been inadvertently sent to a Boston-area office. The site listed a different phone number for western MA, so I called it. I asked the man who answered if they serviced my western massachusetts town, and he said, "are you that lady with the crawlspace? Yeah, we don't do crawlspaces, and I have alot of work." I said thank you, wished him a good day and hung up. So, while I'm disappointed I won't get to work with RealDry, as I thought they had the expertise I needed, I'm annoyed to be lied to by the owner TWICE - first about the company's service area via email, and a second time, after he revealed he'd lied about the service area when I called their office close to my property and then additionally told me the company doesn't work on crawlspaces even though they prominently list crawlspaces on their website's homepage. If you're too busy, or don't want to consider the job for some other reason, just say you're too busy from the get-go. Don't lie - and don't lie repeatedly. It informs others that you're dishonest. The recommended "XYX company" was more than happy to come out and see the wet crawlspace RealDry was too self-important to bother with.

We have an internal sump and an external sump pit as we live "on" the Quabbin. We'd always sought to mitigate by backups and alarms, etc. but Steve brought a new perspective to the table. Keep it simple and direct. Change your pumps within a cadence. Steve COULD have sold me on a french drain around the interior of the basement, but instead was able to determine that one of the perimeter walls just need to connect to the drainage, and that the drainage itself needed to be altered. So, for a fair and very small fractio of the cost of a french drain, Steve was able to jackhammer part of the floor to determine the issue. there wasn't rock under the basement! With updating the flow of the rainwater from that side of the basement, Steve solved the issue. Steve is direct and to the point. He's not going to waste your time. He is an expert with not only a strong skill set and many years of experience, but an inherent understanding of how to approach the customer conversation. There is significant value, both tangible and intangible, in this. I will be working with Steve on any water issues in the future...though I don't expect any, and I can't recommend him and his team enough. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you Steve and team.
