Hunter and his team came out to my mom's house in Vicksburg and did an excellent inspection of the work we needed done. I was told what was going to happen when the construction team started working. I was also told that the sub floor would be matched up to the existing floor and new flooring would be put in. The construction team leader told me they have never done the finished flooring. I called Hunter and had to leave a voice message. I did this in front of the construction team leader, who said that they're having a meeting on Wednesday with the big bosses and he would bring this situation up. I was going to call on Wednesday but was dealing with my mom at the hospital. As of today, August 28th, the issues were resolved. It was bad communication on my part. We asked for a quote to deal with unpleasant odors coming from our crawlspace underneath our sunroom (rodent waste deposited on old insulation). Groundwork's crew were awesome from the initial quote process to final completion. Christian was great in the sales process and Mikah Ramos and Mickey Snip were excellent in the solution. They removed all the old insulation along with the rodent waste, cleaned out our crawlspace and sealed it all up to prevent rodents from coming in. Worksite was left cleaner than when they arrived and they were super efficient. Price wasn't the cheapest but it was fair value (they do have a good and easy 0% interest financing option) and they were able to schedule the work much sooner than other places. It is now May, This journey began In January, we still have unresolved issues. When I wrote my review, I was contacted by owner to reach out to customer service. That has been dreadful. They handed me off to a General Manager John M. Who was supposed to put out the fire so to speak. He just showed up with gasoline. There was always a reason why he couldn't resolve the issue. In the end my frustration led me to just tell him to forget it. I still have an unsealed entrance way and am really not getting any where with that. I have had to take off 5 work days for the original job, and 5 more for all the "fixes". I am absolutely beside myself as to how we have been treated by this company. The company does not respond to my needs. I asked them to repair a dehumidifier. They insisted I need an "evaluation" first. I drove 2 hours from MA to meet the rep, who said "we should have scheduled a repair." I told him I knew that. I have called them 4 times in the past 3 months and no one ever calls me back to schedule a repair. I guess I will have to find someone else. Rescon solutions, the company that installed my dehumidifier was excellent for sales and service, but Groundworks bought that company, corporatized it and turned it into a bad business. The Groundworks technician, Archie Boone, is amazing! His communication, expertise, and professionalism are top notch. Archie personally called me the day before to confirm the appointment, and texted me his ETA on the scheduled day--and he was on time! On site, he was respectful of our home and cleaned everything up when he was done. Our waterproofing system is over 20 years old and needed attention. Archie explained the service issues, risks of equipment failure, and helped us make informed decisions. He makes Groundworks look great! read more

I am selling my home and an inspector noticed some cracks in my foundation. I contacted Groundworks and John came out. He contacted me on my phone when he was on his way and was here promptly. He spent more than an hour inspecting the foundation and was honest even though it meant there was no money in it for them. Unfortunately for my project, there was no Project Manager so there were numerous issues with "miscommunication" between the sales rep, crews that worked on the project and managers. The project took weeks to complete and while it is finished, I was extremely frustrated throughout the whole process. Anytime I needed to contact management, I spoke with a different person who was out of the state. There needs to be a better process for keeping the project on track by having a Project Manager. I would not recommend Groundworks to any family or friends. read more

THIS IS FOR THEIR POLY CREW ONLY - nothing to do with the dig, install and total rat screw that entire process entailed. The Poly crew was 1 day, took the time to communicate the entire process, and everything done exceptionally well - Guiles and Christian were OUTSTANDING, assisted in completing the final billing process and I would absolutely recommend the poly install of this process - Now pay them for the 5 stars. This has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with part that eventually takes you to this last phase. For complete transparency, their PMs and the GM have attempted to work with us and reduced the overall cost very reasonably. But its not only $$, its my f-ing time !!! Today is Week 3 with the garage loaded with dirt and cement dust covering everything - and our yard was DESTROYED. So polycrew ABSOLUTELY did a great job - God bless you if you reach that point. I'm guessing by asking customers to rate the 2 phases separately, they get to cook the books and bump up all the terrible 1-star reviews. It used to be called "cooking the books" - but thats for you to determine....Wendy need not reply with some lame statement about GW standards or unacceptable etc. (My two ratings total six and you can excuse away your Yelp 3 star average) read more

There are some changes that Groundworks has made in regards to the business model that I was used to from Busy Dog but I understand them. I was sold on the 5 year service contract for a discounted price, and if it was anyone other than Archie offering it to me I don't know that I would have done it. We started having water leaks on a basement wall. Started slow but increased. We made the mistake of calling the big name TC H......, waited weeks to schedule first appointment. Finally showed up and proposed major excavation of basement wall, then applying new membrane. Unfortunately in our house, every external connection arrives via that wall. Talking electric, cable, septic, well water, and sprinkler. They wanted to use excavator to dig but wouldn't take responsibility for any potential damage. Price tag was very high. I was very nervous about this of course. I saw one source of water was around well pipe and other was wall itself. Contacted Marquis Well in Sanford who showed up immediately. Proposed hand digging at a lower price. They scheduled quickly, hand dug all the dirt, found Crack in water pipe casing and sealed up. But wall still had issue. Searched further and found Groundworks, lots of positive reviews. Called and they arrived quickly to assess. Beth is a true professional who knows her business extremely well. We signed proposal to inject sealant into cracks from inside of wall. Josh arrived to perform the work. He was effecient, very experienced who knew exactly what to do. During his inspection, he recommended bypassing one of the smaller Crack where water was never seen, thereby reducing our costs....unheard of! He completed the work quickly, zero mess or damage to our house. I cannot recommend both of these companies any higher. Both were outstanding in every aspect. A little bit more expensive than Erickson foundations. Financing available but short terms. Crew installed exterior drain that was too high for terrain resulting in lawn maintenance barrier. Work team also put extra hole in my exterior siding and failed to tell me due to error in exit for pipe to direct water to outside of home. I just spent 24K to the exterior to rodent proof including new insulation. The extra hole could have resulted in animal/insect entry destroying what I just paid for a month ago. Requested to lower drain. No show on appointment date but showed next morning after call made. Hole was plugged but still needs sealing from cold air and inspects. Drain still too high and still waiting for manual for commercial dehumidifier to pass onto electrician. No response to date. Made several calls. NH office could not explain why no one has followed up or no one is even available to schedule an appointment. I was told it's Friday and I called at 2:30 PM as well as yesterday afternoon. Requested mgr. to sign off on work and confirm what was done to date is complete and done according to mfg. and code. This was a 23K project to prevent ground water from coming into home since water pattern shifted in town due to new construction. read more

Contacted company for quote on basic vertical settling cracks in the basement. This is a 13 year old house with just 3 long cracks (all under 1/8" diameter) and one minor that needed professional service. Nothing else was wrong with the basement and this is normal settling that has occurred. I'm a first time homeowner of a 13 year old house, with a flawless (except the cracks) basement and foundation. Rep came in and recommended that I invest over $40,000 in internal gutters, outside drainage, piers, injection filling-the works. That was the FIRST recommendation offered and rep was "confident" this is exactly what the house needed. When I countered the rep with other quotes from other foundation repair companies that were at the max $2,000 (Injection molding to seal the cracks) I received a counter offer of $14,000 (Injection molding plus installing piers), and that was the best offer. All that was needed was injection molding to seal the cracks. ALL reps from other companies (3 others) gave me the same recommendation and about the same pricing (between $1,500-$1,800). I feel strongly that Groundworks was trying to take advantage of my being a first time homeowner and/or being naive about foundation repair and gouging their pricing by offering me things my house did NOT need.
