I wish I could leave zero stars for the CT location. Poor communication. No show, no call for appointments. Our basement walls were destroyed after we were told "you won't even know we were here". Concrete replacement was uneven, with globs of cement scattered everywhere and plastic from the sheetrock/walls was even cemented to the floor. The cement to cover the holes created was not placed up to the foundation so pockets of dirt were left throughout the basement and foundation left exposed. When you call the center you get "schedulers" who pass along information and no calls ever returned. Schedulers refuse to give a manager's name. I really wish we had done more research prior to contracting this company as bad reviews are abundant on all platforms. I now worry about the stability of our house and the lifetime guarantee does not feel reassuring since this company has been so bad so far. I hope this review prevents someone from going through what we have gone through. read more

Stay away. They never called be back with concerns before they were to start this job. When I finally got ahold of someone they said they may be able to lift the slab but no guarantee! Then they gave me a date and didn't show. Then they said they would be here the next day but when I got ahold of them they said their truck was broken. At this point t I said dont bother coming. Now I can't get back the $691.00 deposit the bank gave them. I am having my lawyer look into this. A horrible, horrible company. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Groundworks. The sales representative did not take the time to understand my concerns and instead focused on selling services I did not need. The work performed did not match what I needed. They made an opening larger and installed a door that was unnecessary, which has now created additional cost for me. I am currently hiring another contractor to fix and properly complete the job. Overall, I felt taken advantage of and that my time was wasted. I would not recommend their services based on this experience. read more

Sold a bill of goods. Once they got their money, their customer service was nonexistent. Still waiting for a return phone call to fix a post that was installed crooked. They also stated that as part of the project they would be able to lift the house the required 3/4 inch. Still waiting. Very convincing sales person, very poor follow through. read more

Colin spent 90 minutes inspecting a prospective house that was in a flood zone we were going to purchase. He explained in detail, using several "tools" to present strong evidence the issues he found and how Groundworks would rectify the problems and in a very quick turnaround presented us with an estimate, which we thought was very reasonably priced as we had gotten other estimates that were almost double. They managed the permitting process through the town, also, which took a lot of work off my shoulders.The Groundworks administrative team (scheduling, engineers, permitting) was very responsive to my emails and phone calls. Ultimately, we did not purchase the house, but I would not hesitate for one second to call them in for my current home or any future homes with basement or foundation issues.
