The view is beautiful, and the food was okay. I liked having the option of picking 3 items from the menu for a decent price which can include appetizers, 1 entree, and deserts. I tried the octopus carpaccio, which some pieces were salty due to the large pieces of salt. The calamari was also salty but lemon made it better. I ordered the chicken entree and found it to be dry, which I should have expected but I enjoyed the sides and sauce. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL of Niagara Falls up here. We enjoyed a leisure breakfast while soaking up the view and the sun. Save the extra $100 you'll have to pay for a falls-view room and just come up here. For food snobs, please be sure to check the attitude at the door, as they inevitably always come to the conclusion that any buffet sucks. The selection here was standard breakfast food such as scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausages, potatoes, cereals, fruits, assortment of breads, bagels, and pastries. Also the wait-staff was very friendly. If you decide to sit right up next to the windows, be prepared to get a whole lot of sun. The raised booths offer some protection from the sun. The restaurant sitting atop the Hilton South Tower on Fallsview? Maybe they need to rename it the "HIGH Watermark" restaurant. I mean, where else would you easily find a $90 tab for an oh-so pedestrian choice of filet mignon with lobster tail? Or how about a seafood platter for 2 at $149? Sure there are other less pricey fare, but not much is on the menu that's south of $40, and that's just for the entree. No way around it - to dine at the top, you have to pay top-dollar, right? UNLESS...you go for breakfast! In a recent stay, we got the best seat in the house at the corner of the restaurant. At 33 floors high, the Watermark could thumb its nose at the ugly casino across the street. To the left of that eyesore are the rolling waters of the American falls: to its right, the majestic tumbling currents of Horseshoe Falls. Bring a pair of shades and a camera. You'll forget that it was for tummy food that you came. Oh breakfast was fine. It's the usual cornucopia of a full American breakfast, complete with an omelette chef eager to make yours to order: 2 yolks and 2 whole, with mushrooms, provolone, and a pinch of pepper? Consider it done. The bacon was full of maple-sweetness without an unwelcome intrusion of too much sodium. The pastries were nicely presented and tasted as good. Items missing that perhaps I should have expected: no berries of any kind, no smoked salmon, and no cheeses. the latter two I could have overlooked, but at 20 smackeroos, one would expect at least some ripe red strawberries begging to be sampled. I recently read we have so many strawbs in Florida this year that they're destroying crops to keep the price up. Coffee was unremarkable. Just out of curiosity, I went to the cafe buffet on the main floor. It was the EXACT same buffet, but it was jam-packed with not-so-early-risers - definitely more business than the upstairs sister dining. Take it from me, folks, at $5 more upstairs, do your eyes a favor and get on the elevator. It's well worth the extra dough. I don't know that I'd spring for that same view for dinner at the kind of premium I outlined. We made our reservation well in advance and confirmed our seating preference the day prior. Upon arrival, we were told they could not accommodate us, but then somehow found a table for two in a nearby corner. We selected a bottle of wine and were later asked to pick another as we 'must have chosen from the wrong list' (the one at our table). The wine took a while to arrive, so we ordered an Old Fashioned while waiting. It was not good, and we did not finish it (a first). A beautiful plate of bread drizzled and sitting on olive oil arrived, but the bread was surprisingly cold. The food was so-so, but the filets were nicely made and tasted delicious. We were staying at the hotel a week ago for 2 nights & 3 days. We had a voucher for breakfast. We passed on the other restaurant for breakfast (Grand Buffet), so the hotel was kind enough to apply our 4 vouchers for 2 days to 1 at the Watermark for breakfast (even though my 4 yr old was free). I'll start off by saying that hands down, it's one of THE best views you will get of the Canadian & American Falls. For me - it ends there! I found no difference in options than the Grand Buffet @ Pranzo. You're paying $5-$7 more per person JUST for the view. I expected a lot more variety for a $30 BREAKFAST! Waffles, cold cuts, cheese, breads, eggs & made to order omelettes. I was hoping for maybe some eggs benedict, pancakes etc. We had to order a la carte pancakes for our 4 yr old and when they arrived, they were very underdone. The one & only reason i even gave them 3 stars is, the exceptional service we received (and the view). The ladies that work there are fantastic! Always nearby by with coffee refills and to clear away plates. Your best bet when visiting Niagara Falls - eat at places away from the tourist area. Better quality, no Tourism Tax (yes even if you live in Ontario 90 min from the falls) and you're not paying through the roof for sub-par food. read more

If you want to see the fireworks over the falls and don't want to cram in with the hundreds of people at ground level, believe me...this is the place to be. To start off this is the best Falls view I have had the pleasure of experiencing at Niagra. The service was exceptional. Every single employee made our entire party feel welcome. The manager passed by several times and our server Caroline was a delight. Appetizers arrived shortly after the bread. Our party got soup, salad and calamari. My onion and garlic soup was delicious, I tried my stepmothers sweet pea soup and found it to be excellent as well. Our mains were perfectly executed. The three adults got the NY steak and my oldest daughter the salmon. My daughters first bite illicited an eye roll it was so good! As far as fine dining goes this place is a wonderful choice. Either a romantic dinner for two or the entire family- worth every cent. I have been to more expensive restaurants and did not come close to the overall experience here yet easily paid twice as much. Then sat at a booth that also had young children right in front of it. I would never have come here knowing that young children were here. And I LOVE kids. But there is a place for them. We did not know what to expect, but wanted a nice breakfast with a view, and trust me you pay for it. I can't remember the exact price, but I believe it was about $25-$30/person for the breakfast buffet. Neither my mom nor I finished a complete plate. The food was mediocre at best, the items looked delicious (pictured) but the taste failed on so many levels. I even gave the custom omelet station a try, but my omelette came out bland and lacking any depth. I think both of us enjoyed the "fresh" fruit the most. Can't go wrong on pineapples, strawberries and melon. When we mentioned our displeasure of the food, and tried to see if the hotel could do anything to help as neither of us really ate much at all. The staff became pretty hostile at this and said no. We could take it up with management downstairs. This is possibly the worst place I've ever eaten at. I feel like it should be on Hell's Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay would be in the kitchen throwing everything out, swearing up a storm yelling "how is this ok to serve to people?????" You either have to choose three things for $55 or five things for $65. There's no in-between. We went here because we were given a coupon by the hotel we were staying at, the Hilton, basically buy one get one free. Let me start off saying our service was exquisite. Nicholas is a fantastic server. The chocolate dessert was out of this world. Everything in between was almost inedible. I tried everything but was quickly turned off and only had a couple bites the whole night. We each got 3 items for $55. After looking at the yelp pictures it was hard for me to pick 3 things (not in a good way). The bread and oil they dropped of first looked suspect. my first course was a salad, I decided to go safe. My boyfriend got the chicken pate. My salad was all right except that it was doused with dressing and had a big puddle of oil at the bottom. The pate was tiny and tasted like soil. Overwhelming mineral taste. 2nd course I had the goat cheese crostini and my boyfriend had the shrimp Trio. Both were inedible. The crostini on the bottom of the goat cheese was stale and I needed a saw to cut through it. The lentils were undercooked and also overwhelming. Just gross. The shrimp Trio had ceviche which didn't taste like ceviche a shrimp something and a shrimp mousse which had a half an inch thick gelatin on top of it because that's how they keep it from going bad. Obviously not fresh... and inedible. Was just unappetizing. My main course was the seafood pasta, it was so fishy tasting we couldn't eat it. It might of have had to do with the million clams that were in it, I'm not sure. My boyfriend got the steak, medium rare. It was more rare than medium rare but we'll take it because it's better than being overdone. The mashed potatoes were so dry they were screaming for milk or butter. They looked at least 3 days old. When the manager came over she assured us that they were made today and that they shouldn't look like that.... well they do! Couldn't eat those either. Our waiter informed the manager that we did not enjoy our meal and although she took 20% off and gave us the dessert, she was very condescending and kind of rude about it. The dessert was by far the most amazing thing on the menu it was some chocolate Nutella thing. The view is worth it but I would never suggest to dine here. Had a business conference for the week and this is where we were served breakfast and lunch by way of buffet each day. Let me preface the review by saying the highlight of the restaurant is really the view of the falls from the 33rd floor. Simply amazingly breathtaking vista views of both the American and Canadian falls! Otherwise the food for me was 3.5/5 Breakfast was solid every day. Huge selection of your bacon, eggs, French toast, pancakes, sausage, a very good farmers sausage plus fresh fruit, cereal granola and other pastries. Also fresh items such as yogurt and most anything you can think that you may want to enjoy for breakfast. They also had an omelette bar but I did not indulge as they usually take too long and are much too huge for me in the morning. Coffee was okay not great but could be a bit stronger. I prefer strong coffee however. Lunch was okay and less enjoyable then breakfast. Each day there was warm meals consisting of choices of a starch (rice, potatoes or pasta) plus a meat dish, fish dish, fresh vegetables so this was good. There was also a fresh soup each day! Some of the dishes tasted mass produced and texture was not the best. A bit soggy under the chafing dishes. This is expected for buffet however. One day they did Asian with General Tao chicken which was sodium rich! The won ton soup joke we had was that it was missing won tons which seemed strange! I decided not to eat it! Also at lunch they had a huge dessert section in which I skipped each day. Dessert after lunch is a sure fire way I will be glassy eyed and sleepy for afternoon presentations. My son bit into a peach that was hard. Our server commented on the poor fruit offerings for the day. So here's a thought, if the staff are aware it then takes management to remove the bad fruits, and replace them with good ones. Perhaps an attitude of "tourist breakfast buffet," prevails and then bad food gets served. Super secret squirrel tip: Omelette station has spinach behind the chefs hidden. This restaurant is on 33 rd floor of Hilton South Tower.It is a multi- level restaurant overlooking the Falls. It was my daughter's 13 th Birthday. Even though they take reservations and can't guarantee a window seat ( not a bad table in the house), the manager ( Sarah) went above and beyond. She had a window table waiting for us and ordered a special birthday cake from a local bakery for my daughter. It was so light and delicious. You are paying for the view, so everyone has to order an entree. The food was very good ( steak and salmon). Our waitress ( Julia) was very busy, but did a great job taking care of us. I was told by hotel staff, the dress was business casual, but there were guests with shirts, t- shirts and flip- flops. Then there was an elderly couple in a booth right above us dressed like a million dollars. We also had a table with an infant next to us. Please leave your crying infants with a family member or select another restaurant. This is an experience that should be enjoyed by all guests, and not to be distracted by a screaming infant next to you. No class. My dinner experience here was rather mixed. Obviously, they get 5 stars for the view - an absolutely amazing view of Niagara Falls from 33 stories up. Dining with two business colleagues, we each opted for the market catch - described to us as striped bass fillet lightly floured and seared and accompanied by two garlic shrimp, served with basmati rice and veggies for $42. Expecting a fresh, moist fish we were disappointed that the bass was extremely overcooked and, while flavorful, very dry. The vegetables were overcooked as well and the rice was, well, rice. They do offer a nice wine list with a variety of options rather reasonably priced. Absent the terrific view and stellar service, this would have been a two-star rating. Would I do it again? Got there early, tons of window seats available but the girl at the front desk said there is none. The server was unfriendly, the food was DISGUSTING. Most of the hot food came to the table cold. We paid over $200 for meals and drinks only to get kicked out early. We pretty much paid for the view. Never will we ever go there again or recommend it. My dessert looked attractive, but it was 3 Dunkin Donuts munchkins laying on a layer of Hershey's syrup. They gave us a seating limit of 1 hr 30 mins for some reason, even though it was pretty empty. The meals here work as courses, ranging from $55 - $65, depending on your main course. "Premium" sides are an additional $8. My boyfriend ordered the steak with pork and beans, with mango sorbet. I ordered the roast chicken with veal sausage and Mango sorbet for dessert. We also got the fried onions as a "premium side". My chicken was delicious, maybe the best roast chicken I've had ever. My boyfriend said the same. The veal was alright, it was my first time trying it so I wasn't sure what to expect. His steak was okay, pretty small for the price though. I guess most of the cost is for the view. You really go for the view, not the food. The menu is organized so that you order 3-5 courses per person. I ordered a beer and burrata salad, calamari, and risotto. The salad was going to be hard to botch, but the burrata was completely flavorless. The calamari was cold and covered in salt. The risotto had a little truffle oil on top- when that was gone, it was basically like eating mushroom oatmeal. I have never had such a flavorless pile of mush. Similarly, my husband's cod entree had 0 flavor and his gazpacho was just cold tomato soup since it was pureed instead of chunky. Shout out to whoever made his mussels because it redeemed the meal. Our server seemed stressed because they try to serve about 600 people over the course of a night. I can't fault him for being unfriendly and frazzled. One last thing... our server told me not to order the rosè because it was "dry" and suggested a white zinfadel. This was odd, because I don't like sweet wine anyway and felt like he was sticking with a female stereotype. Well, the rosè was terrible, but not because it was "dry." We came here for dinner wanting a nice view of the Falls. We sat in a booth with a decent view, but the view was mainly of the casino. Once others were sat at the tables in front of the window, we no longer could see anything. We don't mind paying a lot for a meal, as long as the service and the food can back it up...this place was awful. We left for over $200 and hungry. My husband had a beer and I had water. We ordered the prawns as an appetizer..literally 3 for $22, and I've had better at Red Lobster! Then we each had the Caesar salad, it was good..but again I've had better, and for $18, I want to love it. For dinner I had the mushroom risotto..gross!!!! The mushrooms were huge and rubbery. The risotto was mashed together in some spots and soupy in others. I can eat anything and am never picky, but this was gross on a whole other level. My husband had the NY strip which was more like beef jerky. No steak knife was given, he couldn't cut it and was cooked well done when asked for medium. Get ready for a jaw workout! Dessert is our favorite but with these meals, no thanks..I'd rather go to McDonalds. So, 1 beer, 1 water, 3 shrimp, 2 salads, a bowl of nasty rice and beef jerky, we paid over $200. I don't recommend to anyone...there are many other places closer to the Falls with better views for a fraction of the price. read more

we puchased a 75$ coupon/voucher for the watermark as part of our stay at the Hilton. I should say that we have eatten here before for breakfast and it was ok, so we figured that we would go back and try it for dinner. Big mistake! i should have realized what we were walking into when i wanted to look at the menu and (surprise, surprise!) there are no prices listed! I probably should have cancelled our reservations, but i figured i should give them the benefit of the doubt and see what dinner would be like. Ok so we show up at 7:30pm and we are seated right away. menus arrive and appetizers are 10-20$ each and mains range from 23-89$ I dont mind paying these prices for food as long as it is quality ingredients prepared properly. So my wife and i both ordered the ceaser salad, she decided on the chicken supreme for her main and i ordered the beef tenderloin with foie gras and truffle butter. Ceaser salads arrive and theyre ok tasting just like a store bought ceaser dressing with brought in croutons. Mains arrive and im surprised when i look at my steak... i call the serve over "Um, wheres the foie gras on my steak?" "Oh theres tiny little pieces in the truffle butter that is on top." Steak was cooked fine but completely un seasoned. MY wifes chicken breast was exactly the same un seasoned and charred from the grill. Ok to sum it up i have no problem paying 54$ for a steak with foie gras or 34$ for a chicken breast but i expect them to be done properly and i expect the description to be accurate on the menu. If your thinking of going here take my advice and go to the keg, because watermark is really not worth it. read more

It doesn't surprise me that this restaurant has low ratings. The service was great as well as the ambience. The views are stunning but the food- not that great. I'm from Miami where we use lotS of spices on food. The steak and chicken barely tasted like anything. It was underwhelming to say the least. There are bEtter places that are cheaper in Ontario that I say to save your money for. read more
