    The Post Nacho
    David Y.

Geez those nachos are amazing! Generously piling on this smoky sweet beef brisket in between layers of crispy chips, while sprinkling in the sour cream and avocado verde and jalapeño to complement versus distract... mmm easily the best nachos I've had in awhile. Also got the PEI Mussels Marniere and the Post Burger. The mussels were generous though some were a bit rubbery, and really liked the chardonnay-infused sauce they were bathed in. The burger was just alright, with a good medium well temperature and a standard taste. Service was excellent. Kitchen was pretty quick. Prices are what prices are these days at nice places. Vibe is casual elevated. Overall, can see why this place is a go-to spot in the area.

    Monday date night $95/couple deal

Best dinner we've had at NOTL so far!! And we enjoyed the Monday date night deal they had as well ($95/couple from a fixed menu) We tried: -POST NACHOS (5/5, loved the more premium toppings and they really layer it between the crispy & seasoned tortilla chips) -MAUI TUNA MAIN DISH (5/5, the seared tuna was flavourful and refreshing. A lighter feeling dinner that won't over-stuff you, it's refreshing with the salad and bed of fluffy spicy coconutty rice) -SALMON FILET (4/5, i enjoyed the mix of textures from the rice, orzo, dried berries & almond slivers. The salmon on top was done perfectly) -FLOURLESS BROWNIE (4/5, generous piece of decadent, dense & moist brownie with real vanilla bean ice cream. Although, I wish it was served warm. We also added an extra scoop of ice cream for +$4 to polish off the brownie)

It was a nice dinner spot with great service but the food was very mediocre. It was very normal American/Canadian food with a high price tag. My family ordered the Spinach and artichoke dip, Maui tuna w/ house coleslaw side, ribeye frites, Baja fish tacos, roasted chicken, baby back ribs, salmon filet, grapefruit summer spritz. The best thing was my drink, the grapefruit summer spritz which was a cocktail but only had a small hint of alcohol which I liked. In terms of the food, the spinach and artichoke dip was not bad. It was quite cheesy and hot. I also had the ribeye frites cooked medium rare and it was flavorless. I think it was more cooked than rare but my main issue was that it was dry and didn't taste like much.

This was probably one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. This restaurant is owned by a local winery, and they offer pairings for EVERY item on the menu. The ambiance was a perfect mix of cozy yet still upscale. The happy hour deals were actually the best I've ever seen. We also stayed for dinner. Our server was the most friendly, sweet individual and truly cared about us, I believe her name was Gaea. She gave us personal recommendations on our food and tips on events going on in town. Our food was truly excellent and I could not recommend this place more highly.

***4.5 stars*** A very good meal for my wife and I even though we brought our 2.5 year old who was overtired as it was close to her bedtime. The interior is modern, airy and chic. We sat at a very comfortable and cozy U-shaped booth. Our server was friendly and prompt. The food also came out quickly. We shared the Zucchini Tabbouleh Salad which was nice and refreshing. It came with a tzatziki-like sauce which I enjoyed. I ordered the Steak Frites which was delicious and perfectly cooked. It came with crispy fries that were not too oily. My wife had the salmon which was also melt-in-your-mouth and served with silky smooth whipped potatoes. The kiddo had the chicken fingers which were just ok. The drinks were top notch. I had the whiskey sour and my wife had the Negroni spritz. Overall I would love to return without my kids and enjoy a calm & relaxing dinner.

Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. Parking in NOTL always a bit of a challenge especially if you don't want to pay! Wife enjoyed her 1+1 - 2 different fish filets with chips. I had the Irish Experience of three different meat pies. Each did have a unique taste. A filling and interesting dish. Murphy's stout on tap was Devine. Wife found her NA Moscow mule good but, given no alcohol, she felt the serving volume was low. Less than $100 CA all-in seemed reasonable for a fairly authentic Irish meal.

My aunt and uncle, and most of their friends it seems, come here often. It's a bit of an older crowd here, but still worth checking out. Though, make time for parking because it's street parking and there's not much of it close by. I got the soup d'jour which was potato and leek. It was yummy and comforting, especially on a cold and rainy day. The soup was savory and not over salted. My main course was fish and chips. The fish was plump, and the batter was crispy. The fries were on the softer side. I didn't try the cole slaw because I'm not a fan. Service was friendly. I would state that you should come here when you are not in a time crunch. Not that they're slow - I think the food came out in time. But you want to take the time to enjoy the food, views, and company. Lastly, the atmosphere is more on the quiet side, at least for Americans maybe (I guess I'm feeding into the stereotype but also I come from a loud family). So something to keep in mind when you're there.
