I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, and from the first bite, it was obvious the whole thing was a disaster. The bread was dry and stiff, the wrap itself was flavorless, and the chicken tasted undercooked. It genuinely felt like I was swallowing rocks - completely unappetizing and hard to eat. I politely asked the staff for more sauce, since the wrap was bone-dry, and was told it would be an extra charge--even though I could barely taste or see any sauce at all. When I pointed this out, the man (about 6ft tall) behind the counter became defensive and borderline aggressive, saying, "I'm not going to argue with you," even though I was calm and just trying to get what I paid for. What happened next was shocking. In front of other customers, he angrily grabbed the wrap from my hands and aggressively drenched it in sauce before tossing it back to me. It was clear he was trying to save face because people were watching & at risk losing his customers in line, but his behavior was completely unprofessional and intimidating. The decor might look nice, but the customer service and food quality were absolutely horrible. I left feeling sick and deeply uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers and serves edible food.

I've eaten at literally dozens of Middle Eastern restaurants, and this was a first. It was a new taste and absolutely raised the bar on the rice. Finally It's about Thyme was a bargain. I think I paid C$15 for an overflowing plate of food plus a bottle of water. The portion was so generous that I took it home and ate the leftovers for lunch the following day.
