This was my go to spot every time I visited Niagara. I'm not sure if the owner or cooks have changed but the quality of the food really declined from the last time I visited. The restaurant is beautifully decorated though and makes you feel like you're in Greece.

Was in the area for the weekend for my birthday and this was very close to out air bnb. They offer Armenian, Italian and Mediterranean menu and it's quite diverse and ample. We were a party of 7 and everyone was very happy with their choices . They offer some amazing deals for sharing with tons of food. The Brie appetizer was delicious. I got the Kasbah plate with beef, chicken, lamb skewer, and lamb kafta. This special comes with rice, pickled radishes and a sauce side of your choice. I got the babaganush but wish I got the garlic pudding which was so tasty. The rice is really fluffy and well seasoned as well as the meats. I also got the calamari which was really lightly battered and tender. We all had plenty of food to take back and it was even tastier the next day. The pita bread is Lighty grilled, soft and so yummy. If in the area definitely check them out. Prices are fair for the amount of food. They also have a very nice outdoor seating area and dessert cafe to go. Service was good and staff was friendly!

Came here for the first time for dinner. Hubby and I ordered their Kasbah combo, saganaki opa (flaming cheese) appetizer, and giant margarita (strawberry and raspberry). Total came out to approximately $117 (Canadian) without tip. What's hot - Quality. Absolutely delicious! For the food, hubby and I loved their garlic pudding and babaganoush. Their garlic pudding is so creamy and flavorful. Their chicken shawarma was better than the beef shawarma, because the meat was more tender and flavorful. Everything was delicious, but a few things- like the garlic pudding, babaganoush, and shawarma meat stood out. Their potatoes could've been a little more tender. - Menu variety. Something for everyone- meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan. - Location. Easy to find and a small parking lot. Also within a short walking distance from the main Niagara Falls tourist attractions. - Layout. There's an outdoor and indoor seating area, which is nice, especially when the weather is nice. Their outdoor seating area is also tented. - Price. Pretty good value for money, especially given the portions of our Kasbah combo. What's not - Service. They're not bad, but it's not great. They may be short staffed. It may also be part of this specific restaurant culture not to rush, however; we waited a decent amount of time for everything. Their host also couldn't answer any questions about the menu, which was a bit surprising. Final answer Good find and we'd like to comeback, but when we're not chomping at the bit and/or in a rush.

I would recommend this spot as it's great food and great value in the area. It's away from the tourist traps and has free parking. The food is great. The kids menu is great value as the fish and chips are 10$ with a drink and ice cream. Crazy. The adult stuff we got was all very good. We licked the garlic butter clean off with the pita and fries and anything else we could use. The only complaint is the potatoe wedges were a bit under cooked. Service was slow for my liking but my wife mentioned they are just letting us take our time. The inside is nice and roomy and bright. Washrooms were clean. Smaller than expected.

My family and I loved this place. We went a party of 5 with two toddlers and the staff were extra friendly. We were seated in a private area and the food was amazing. I ordered the penne carbonara and was amazing. The baklava dessert and the crème brule was great too. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful.

This place was a hidden gem with a beautiful patio and interior ambiance. Food and service were amazing. Also had a great selection for gluten free options. The price was also great. Unfortunately they can only keep up the greatness for 5 days a week for dinner only. They are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We were planning on coming back but missed our chance. If ever back in the area we will definitely return. Until then I will continue to dream about gluten free homemade pita to dip in my homemade hummus and babaganoush after finishing my gluten free shawarma and indulging in a fabulous dessert.

We called for a reservation and were seated fairly on time, even though they were super busy and down two servers that night. We appreciated the efforts they went to to provide a positive dining experience. We opted for the kasbah combo. I could talk about each individual item, but everything was so flavorful. There was more food than the two of us could possibly eat, so we had our leftovers for breakfast at the hotel the next day. We dined on their covered patio and it was perfect. I wish they had their restaurant in our city. Highly recommend.

We had a nice meal here for New Year's. We reserved a table and they had it ready when we arrived. It was a little cold by the door but bearable. The service was super slow, it seemed they were not staffed enough for New Years. Their bar menu is quite impressive--we ordered Prosecco and Moretti Italian beer. To start, we had the Greek plate with tzatziki, babaganoosh, pita bread, and olives. For our entrees we had chicken souvlaki which was just excellent. Lots of rice, good flavored chicken, grilled veggies, and two small crispy potatoes. For dessert we had the ice cream and cholesterol molten cake. The ice cream was good but the cake tasted off. All in all, a good meal, but slow service.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Ontario in Vineland, this storied establishment, housed in a structure dating to 1867, has become one of those places that quietly lodges itself in the memory and refuses to leave. We made the drive -- well over an hour -- for a Sunday brunch, and not for the first time. It is the kind of restaurant one finds oneself recommending without hesitation, not as a curiosity or a seasonal indulgence, but as a benchmark. The setting alone would justify the journey: a sweeping, unobstructed view of the lake from the sunroom and patio that shifts in character with the light, the season, and the mood of the sky above. On a clear day, the Toronto skyline is visible on the horizon -- an almost implausible grace note. But Lake House does not rest on its scenery. The kitchen demonstrates genuine culinary ambition with a menu that draws from Mediterranean traditions while remaining grounded in local and seasonal sensibility. The salmon crab cakes -- a pairing that sounds indulgent and delivers accordingly -- arrive with a pineapple and mango chutney and sriracha aioli that balance richness with levity. The Great Canadian Burger is a study in considered indulgence: brioche, peameal bacon, sweet bacon jam, and spiced maple aioli achieving a harmony of sweetness, heat, and savoriness that lingers well past the last bite. The service matched the occasion throughout. From the welcome at the door to our server Rhonda -- attentive, warm, and precisely calibrated in her pacing -- to the supervisor who moved quietly through the room ensuring that every table was well attended, the floor operates with the kind of seamless, unhurried care that is too often mistaken for effortlessness. It is not effortless. It is practiced and deliberate, and all the more impressive for it. Lake House Restaurant is a destination that justifies the drive, rewards the return, and -- in a dining landscape where so few establishments manage all three -- that is no small thing.

If you enjoy condiments the semolina crusted calamari ($26) comes with four dipping sauces:…read moresweet-curried aioli, sweet chili, basil pesto aioli, and sriracha aioli. It would've been nice if at least one packed a bit of heat, but they're all tame, adding flavour without overpowering the squid. Thankfully, the semolina crust was excellent - crunchy, light, and not oily at all. The portion is generous and easily shareable between two or three people. A newer addition to the menu is the short rib sandwich ($34), and it's a good one. Large chunks of tender, flavourful beef are topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy onions, arugula, and brie. The cheese adds a creamy richness that makes the sandwich stand out. The menu notes a horseradish aioli, but any zing from it gets buried under the slightly sweet braising sauce, which was too sugary for my taste. I would've preferred it kept more savoury. The sandwich is already quite saucy, and yet more sauce arrives on the side. Good for fries if you choose to switch the salad to spuds. After hearing plenty about the Great Canadian Burger ($29), I couldn't resist splitting one, though I ultimately wish I hadn't. The short rib sandwich is better. The burger is hefty, with a thick beef patty that's overly dense and heavily mixed, giving it more of a frozen-patty texture than the crumbly tenderness of a good homemade one. The potato bun also struggled to hold up against the avalanche of toppings: grilled peameal bacon, cheddar, onion, tomato, arugula, pickle, and two sauces. I'm not sure why the kitchen insists on sweetening everything - the burger comes with caramelized onion bacon jam and a maple chipotle aioli, both quite sugary. If you enjoy sweeter savoury dishes, you'll probably like it. Otherwise, I'd skip the handhelds. On our weekday lunch visit, the restaurant was well staffed and attentive. Even though we never felt rushed, we were in and out within about an hour. If anything, the service bordered on overly attentive... during that hour we were interrupted six times by four different people checking if everything was okay. My suggestion: let the primary server handle most of the check-ins, and only have others step in if things get busy.

Absolutely terrible experience - never going back…read more I visited Palmsview Shawarma for the first time, and it was easily one of the worst food experiences I've ever had. This happened today. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, and from the first bite, it was obvious the whole thing was a disaster. The bread was dry and stiff, the wrap itself was flavorless, and the chicken tasted undercooked. It genuinely felt like I was swallowing rocks - completely unappetizing and hard to eat. I politely asked the staff for more sauce, since the wrap was bone-dry, and was told it would be an extra charge--even though I could barely taste or see any sauce at all. When I pointed this out, the man (about 6ft tall) behind the counter became defensive and borderline aggressive, saying, "I'm not going to argue with you," even though I was calm and just trying to get what I paid for. What happened next was shocking. In front of other customers, he angrily grabbed the wrap from my hands and aggressively drenched it in sauce before tossing it back to me. It was clear he was trying to save face because people were watching & at risk losing his customers in line, but his behavior was completely unprofessional and intimidating. The decor might look nice, but the customer service and food quality were absolutely horrible. I left feeling sick and deeply uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers and serves edible food.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 Food: We had our office holiday dinner here and 15 people attended. We did a set menu which had 3 courses. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures
