This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who eats here regularly, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My first experience was a catering order for a large group at a Christmas party, and everyone couldn't stop raving about the flavor and quality of the food. Everything was cooked to perfection. The salad, potatoes, chicken, gyro, and rice were all outstanding. When I went in to pick up the order, I immediately noticed how clean and well-kept the restaurant was. It's clear the owners take great pride in their place. The two guys working the front (probably the owners) were extremely polite and a pleasure to deal with. A couple of weeks later, I brought my family in for lunch, and once again, the experience was excellent. They treated us like family. I honestly wish I lived closer because I'd be ordering from here at least once a week. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the area. Absolutely blown away by Greek Palace in Hamilton. I had the chicken souvlaki platter, and it was fantastic--perfectly seasoned, juicy, and grilled to perfection. The rice, potatoes, and salad were all fresh and flavourful, and the tzatziki was creamy with just the right amount of garlic. This place instantly became my new favourite Greek spot in the city. Went in here today for dinner. It's a small place, one side has huge wall-pictures of Greece, a bit much, the other side has a nice brick wall. We went to the counter to order, the female was decent towards us and we ordered the Gyro Dinner and Chicken Souvlaki dinners. To drink, we asked for tap water, and get this, she says, "No, only what's in the fridge", to buy of course--so we choose a couple of cans of pop. The total came to $36 plus a few bucks for a tip, and we pay a total of $39. She first brought us Greek salads that were fresh and good tasting with nice salty olives and feta cheese. Then came the dinners, with a good amount of Gyro meat, and two Chicken souvlaki skewers. I noticed while we ordered that the chicken skewers weren't cooked fresh, and were just sitting cold in a steel pot. I guess they just reheat it--you can tell, because the chicken was dry. The gyro meat was a bit dry too. The accompanying rice and potatoes were good, but not that flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was really needed for the dry meat. We asked for an extra small container of it, and the guy tells us it's $1. We passed, as it doesn't even taste like authentic tzatziki sauce anyway, not enough garlic. So in summary, overpriced mediocre Greek food, from an owner that's really watching his/her pennies. read more

For anyone that has had authentic Greek food, you will be disappointed. Not even the tzatziki tastes authentic... it basically tastes like straight sour cream. I'm really confused about how you can screw up tzatziki sauce. Also, they don't give you your money's worth: they give you about 3 strips of gyro meat on your pita and they smear the thinnest amount of tzatziki on your pita... disappointing and unauthentic. Was away from Hamilton for a couple weeks so upon coming back, a few of us decided to head over here after work to catch up and stuff our mouths. Despite the variety in orders that I have mentioned in previous reviews, this time we all got the same thing - chicken souvlaki dinner. The greek salad that they give at the beginning has a great dressing and is a good portion, but its not greek salad truly; also, 2 olives in a good sized bowl - come on. The souvlaki itself is flavorful and hot but a little on the dry side. Comes up with rice that are well cooked but bland and potatoes that are tasty but the wrong texture. The service is great and quick and the staff did not bother us at all even though we hung out talking for almost 3 hours in total. Good place to come once in a while. read more

Portion sizes are good- carb to meat ratio is about 2:1, but better than Sana Grill. Make sure you get the chicken dinner with 2 skewers! It's worth it because you'll have leftovers. Staff is generally friendly, although parking is not that great. read more

This is probably the best Greek food that I have had other than the Danforth. I usually get the Greek salad with chicken, I know you are probably falling asleep thinking that I confuse salad with food. But this is different, it is fresh and the chicken is juicy. When I had a late night craving for greek food I would usually go to Little Greek Corner on the mountain but since it's closed down I've been trying a few places and nothing has been good or even compared until the Greek Palace! It was our first time visiting and this place did not disappoint I actually ended up liking it better. We ordered a gyro pita, grilled chicken pita, and greek fries. Let me just say the gyros were both good but the greek fries were AMAZING. The food was great tasting and good portion sizes. I left very full. Prices are also great we got two full meals for $20! Probably my favourite restaurant in Hamilton! Friendly staff that know my friends and I by name since we go in so often. They have great specials (although I always end up getting a gryo) Their food is fresh, staff is friendly, and I've never had a bad experience.
