    The delicious gyro pita!

I can't believe that there aren't more reviews for this awesome Greek place! I found out about this ma and place restaurant thanks to the handful of Yelp reviews for it when I was in Burlington one time and decided to try it out since it had been a while that I'd had Greek food. It's very small but homey with a handful of tables in a casual setting. The staff here are nice and efficient with making delicious Greek food but it does get busy during dinner time. I would recommend calling ahead if you already know what you want from their menu. I've been here twice with my husband and he's gotten take out from here and brought it home, so we've had food from here a few times now. Hands down, our favourite is the gyro pita which is generously stuffed with seasoned gyro, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, onions and tomatoes in a warm fluffy pita. Amazing taste and value for about $7 something + tax. The pork souvlaki was also really good and had similar toppings but the gyro was better. There are many other sandwich options such as chicken souvlaki, beef shawarma pita, falafel, there's also fish and chips, etc. to name a few. You can also get some of these meats as part of a dinner plate option for double the price, as well as different salads or Greek platters. I'll definitely continue to support this place when I'm in the Burlington area and craving Greek food.

Chicken shawarma, Greek salad and Greek fries.

Gyro and chicken shawarma was excellent, the chicken and pork souvlaki were a bit dry though with the tzatziki sauce it was okay.

They also have a great 0% alcohol Greek beer. The food was plentiful and was very fillling. I would've liked more of their greek salad and wish it came with our meals instead of served before the entrees. Think this is the best greek food at a restaurant i had in town and Toronto. Service was very good and our server was friendly however made an error on my meal. However, she quickly fixed the error without taking too much time. We lucked out and didn't need to have a reservation and dine in. The ambiance was very nice and peaceful for a fancier greek restaurant. So nice for a Valentine's Day meal. It was a very nicely designed and beautiful European style restaurant. HOWEVER, that was short-lived because in came a family of 5 (2 parents with 3 little girls probably triplets aged 3 were seated literally right beside us.) We were seated in the very back and had a nice private corner to ourselves. The father turned to us to say "Sorry it isn't going to be quiet anymore." He wasn't kidding because the kids were rambunctious, loud and out of control. The parents didn't do a thing. Neither did the restaurant staff and thus this really upset my dh and i. Imho, we were there first and isn't fair to us that we had to dine with this family beside us. It was so not nice anymore. *Side note* The restrooms were clean but temperature wise it felt so cold almost like a meat freezer.

Walking in to the restaurant, it was MASSIVE and beautiful, almost felt like a banquet hall. There was ample seating inside and can accommodate huge groups. The menu has all the usual Greek fare that you would expect. We started with the Saganaki which was GREAT - but it doesn't come standard with a pita/bread. I thought that was strange? How are you supposed to eat it without a bread vessel? You'd have to order it on the side I suppose...my meal came with side pitas thankfully, so they were brought out early. I got the "small" pork souvlaki plate..if that was a small, I'm very curious about the large. I went there 2 days ago, and I'm still full! Haha, but really...I got 3 huge skewers of pork souvlaki, a healthy serving of rice, a couple potatoes, and a small Greek salad. I couldn't finish the meal, but I tried my best because it was very tasty and I didn't want anything to go to waste! Tip: Definitely order a 2nd (or 3rd) Tzatziki! You really get good bang for your buck. Service was super friendly, no complaints there. Great place to pick for lunch when you're tired of the chains!

For my appetizer, I got a green salad which had a nice dressing to it, tiny tomatoes, and tiny cut up figs. I would have liked bigger pieces of figs (if you are going to include it in the menu). For the main dish, I got rainbow trout which came out smaller than I imagined. It should be cooked well since it was a thin piece too. The spinach rice was a nice side and the salad had a nice colour to the overall dish. My partner's short ribs were not tender and it was hard to chew on. He said the meat didn't fall off the bone. For dessert, the walnut cake was moist, however the pistachio ice cream looked and tasted fake. Service was pretty good. The washroom at the back, near the kitchen was clean. Overall, I have given them three tries and each time, I didn't feel fully satisfied. I don't think I'll be going back.

I did remember it being good and portions being generous. Last night we visited the Oakville location. We planned to eat a few other treats later in the night so we decided to just split the pork souvlaki meal. When ordering I said we were just going to order one meal and share. When the food came, to my surprise, there were 2 plates, each with our one meal portioned out! I was so surprised. I didn't even ask them to do this. As you can see from the picture, they were basically 2 full meals almost. I couldn't even finish mine! I took some home. My bf cleaned his plate but he was defs not still hungry. He also mentioned how he really liked it ( he's Greek) and it felt healthy. I agreed. I loved the rice and tzatziki. The potatoes were such a generous serving and it was the perfect amount of salad. The pork was the slightest bit a tad dry but I'm not complaining at all. It's my one little critique. When the bill came, there was a $3 charge for a "split meal". However, we weren't bothered by this because we both ate and were satisfied for $30. It's rare to find that anywhere these days at a sit down resto. We are for sure coming back.

The decor is beautiful and we sat at the front bar waiting to be called. They had an IPA my friend liked and the espresso martinis were yummy. We sat outside with a gorgeous view of the lake. Couldn't think of a better place for this celebration! The restaurant doesn't do any extras for birthdays or special events. Service was 4/5 as they didn't remove dirty empty glasses until dinner was over. Food is was pretty good and we loved the beets on the dinner plates. Portions were average. Firstly- the service was extremely slow (we waited for about 20 mins before being spoken to). Once we ordered our two meals (gyro dinner meal and chicken shawarma meal) we were informed there was no more rice. When we asked when it would be ready we were told not for at least 30 mins. We decided to just have an extra helping of potatoes instead. As we were waiting we noticed the microwave going for 3 mins. Once the microwave finished, they pulled the potatoes out of it (in a styrofoam container) and dumped it into our meals. The microwave was practically on the floor and we were pretty annoyed that they didn't even cook the potatoes fresh. None the less we paid and took the food home. As we were eating it my husband found pieces of bone, spine and cartilage in his chicken shawarma. It was a very disappointing experience and we didn't even up eating half of our food. The first time we ate there the food was great (hence the 2 stars). Now we won't be back.
