We came here for a Sunday lunch and were very happy with our choice. They offer Egyptian style Shawarma and Falafel. The staff are very friendly and spent time giving is a history of the restaurant and we talked about Egyptian Cuisine. We ordered a "Chicken Shawarma Plate" and a "Falafel Wrap". They food was very tasty and made of fresh ingredients. Also, when they were cutting the chicken pieces, there wasn't too much oil coming off of the meat, which reassured me of it being healthier than other places. Falafel tasted pleasantly different from other shawarma places and the staff explained to us how the ingredients are different for Egyptian style falafels. read more

I am very happy that we have an authentic, Egyptian style Shawarma place in Burlington. The food here has been really good and so is the service. My favourite is always the Shawarmas and their Garlic potatoes. The people are super nice, and shy. Make sure to say Hi and they'll be happy to give you a smile. read more

Gave this place a try. The pickled turnip in the wrap had such a horrible taste/after taste wanted to gag, and I'm not a picky eater. Nothing really stood out about this place. It was good enough for something on the go. As for the restaurant, it wouldn't hurt to give that bathroom good cleaning. For heavens sake, it is so darn nasty....grime all over the door, sink, lightswitch. Wont be going back. Cleanliness is a must! read more

I Love the chicken shawarma raps, they aren't unreasonably priced and tastes great. The service is very good to they're always nice and respectful I remember one day a couple of years ago I had just got off work and has wanted a shawarma rap from them and went and didn't have enough so they just gave it to me on the house it was incredibly nice and generous of them and I've enjoyed they're food and service since. the place itself is a good spot to wait for your food to be ready but doesn't feel very comfortable to sit and eat in, it's nice but very bare bones in my opinion. Never have had a bad order from here the hot sauce is one of the best I've found at a Shwarma place and the actual chicken is always great. Wraps are made well and don't fall apart halfway through. Everything here is always cooked and made extremely well and all for pretty good prices. read more

This review is based on a take out order so purely based on the food quality than the ambience of the place itself. I tried the hummus, baba ganoush and the chicken grande. Hummus was good but not exceptional, it lacked flavor and texture and did not taste fresh. However, it was better than the hummus I have tried at other places in Burlington. Baba ganoush was below average really. It was not creamy at all and the taste of eggplant was overwhelming other components of the dish. Coming to chicken grande, it was flavored with grilled pineapple and home spices and the overall taste and texture was well balanced. The chicken came with white basmati rice, garlic potatoes(really good) and a salad (the dressing was amazing). So overall, a good experience. read more

Went for my first time today and I was not disappointed! Had a Chicken Shawarma, found it was a very generous portion, vegetables and toppings were very fresh, crisp etc. The Chicken was well seasoned and tasty and the hot sauce was just the right heat to not mask the flavours of the Shawarma yet add a nice touch of spice/heat. Oh and the restaurant itself is nice and clean, grills and stove etc. are visible from the counter and they are all well cleaned and the staff I dealt with was very friendly. Best shawarma in the area! We live just around the corner so it's a short walk to enjoy a nice dinner or lunch here. We noticed this spot opened a few months ago and figured we'd try it out. Went in one day for lunch we both had the chicken shawarma. It was hot and all the toppings were fresh. It is very clean, with great seating. There is a TV you can watch while you eat. The service was very friendly. We complimented the chef as we left. He was very happy to see we enjoyed our meal. Great local restaurant, I would definitely go back! read more

Last time I've been there, I barely could find 10 small pieces of shawarma in my pita. They are trying to push more salad in your pita to make less room for meet...lol People come to eat shawarma, not salad. read more

I'll preface by saying that shawarma and middle eastern food is one of my least favourite foods. With that's said, I absolutely loved the food. Everything was fresh, flavourful and the staff is very friendly. I had the beef shawarma and it was absolutely delicious. Every part of the dish was well plated and everything was flavourful but not clashing. The place was clean and visually appealing and they were such a great set of staff. I'll recommend this to anyone who wants a good, affordable meal. It was delicious and I'm so glad I gave it a chance! My parents who love shawarma also really loved it. All around wonderful place! I placed an order and went to go pick it and was told to wait in my car for another 5-7 minutes. Due to Covid, I understood so I waited. I went back 10 minutes later my order STILL wasn't ready. I called while sitting in my car waiting again and was told that I was left angry and decided to wait in my ON MY OWN. The food was ready apparently. I was given off to another employee or owner not sure and he said the same thing that I sat in my car because I wanted to wait in my car on my own. So, about 30 minutes have gone by I go back in to get my order...STILL NOT READY. At this point I wanted to cancel my order because it was getting ridiculous. All in all VERY poor customer service. Eat here all the time. Heading there shortly. I usually get the chicken shawarma, delicious. My girlfriend loves the shawarma plate or the chicken (shawarma) on the rocks (rice). The garlic sauce is to die for! I've tried the kabobs and they're delicious. Mixed gill gives you a little of everything. Very clean place and a polite owner! Highly recommend! No I LOVE Shawarma. Chef's Door was my favourite, Zesty Pita being closer to my home was an almost close second.....but lacking something, Ozmows was pretty good - a favourite amongst some of my work colleagues but not good enough for me - BUT, to have Chef Grande open just round the corner I simply had to try it out. WOW! blown away. Chefs door is now a very close 2nd to Chef Grande. This is my #1 spot definitely. I've tasted better falafel but they have really great Shawarma pita's, plates and fabulous garlic potatoes and really nice staff. I'm going a minimum of twice a week, sometimes almost every day.
