This review is for the dinner. Upon arrival we were promptly seated. We were seated in one of the end booths. Unfortunately, our table did not have too good of a view and it was blocked by a support column. I had booked months in advance and requested a table with a nice view by a window. I was told they couldn't accommodate it and we were not allowed to wait for a table to open up so basically took what we could get. Food was ok but I was less than impressed and both our main dishes were slightly overcooked. And my dessert (lemon cheesecake) was still mostly frozen. Just an ok experience but our server Darren P was really great and appreciated his service. Personally, I don't feel like I ever need to dine here again but it was ok for a one time dinner. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here with a perfect view of the falls. Our server was phenomenal and the food was superb. The 3 course pre fix menu has plenty of options to choose from for every taste bud. Generous portion sizes, too. The live pianist is a nice touch and (during our visit) he played classical version of modern songs - it was quite entertaining to identify each song! The Caesar salad and calamari are delicious. The burrata in the heirloom tomato salad is so creamy. The salmon is delicious and the tenderloin is so juicy. The chocolate mousse and turtle cheesecake are staples! Elegant dining experience with stunning waterfall views. Walked into a two floor restaurant with ceiling to floor windows providing unobstructing views of the grand Niagara Falls. We had made reservations days before so we were promptly seated by the window with a beautiful view of the falls. Dinner Saturday night was a three course meal with wide variety of choices including a vegan option. Started with the oysters (5), beetroot and red radish salad with red vinaigrette (yum), and the heirloom tomato and burrata salad for our appetizer; salmon and vegan risotto verde for our main course; and cheese cake for dessert. The service was excellent, and without exaggeration, the food was spectacular in its entirety and we must have finish every morsel of it. Love this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the falls. It is quite the experience. Couldn't resist so took a few cute pics with the waterfall background. Came here on the Fourth of July and the view and vibes are unbeatable! The service is top notch and the simple menu has some great options for a pretty good prix fixe price. The star dish is the maple salmon with the perfectly crisp skin and the subtle sweetness from the maple syrup. The appetizer and dessert weren't the best but for the money and location, it's a great spot to get an amazing panoramic view of the falls. Definitely make reservations first and you can see a dozen different fireworks displays for hours throughout the night. read more

Found this amazing restaurant near the Fallsview for dinner before the Kelly Chen concert. It has a great atmosphere and we were lucky enough to enjoy the fireworks during our meal. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Our server, Carolyn, provided amazing service and recommended all the best dishes and wines. Paying for the view. Depending on the table you get the view is "nice". While the staff were friendly, the restaurant itself needed cleaning and both my wife's fork and bread plate were dirty and needed to be replaced.We ate breakfast and the food was mediocre at best. Not the way to start your day. My review takes into account only breakfast - the worst breakfast in a very long time. After only a few bites we asked for our check and left. Not a single person even questioned why none of our food was eaten. My guess is that it is not uncommon. Worst bagel and lox I have ever had. The onions had all of the flavor pickled out of them, and even the pickling was utterly faint. The lox had only a faint flavor, not of fish, and the texture was a smooth like a plastic surface. Very unpleasant to chew. It felt gross to even have in your mouth. The cream cheese felt adulterated, not whipped with air, but like water was whipped in. The omelette was tasteless and simultaneously cooked, yet had semi-runny whites? If you check out my reviews, you will see I give very few poor reviews. And I would not have bothered with this review, except for the fact we liked neither dish. Please note that the prices are very high. I don't mind paying more for a view, but I expect an edible meal. read more

I can only rate it on the breakfast. As a Hilton member, breakfast is typically free but not in this hotel. Fortunately I booked through Vacations by Rails and it included a voucher for $29 which is the lowest price on the menu. With that coupon it made the breakfast worth it. But to pay that out right for eggs, potatoes (which I can honestly say were delicious), toast and coffee - not worth it even with the excellent decor and view. I had avocado toast the next day which was literally just an avocado (a very fresh one) and slightly burnt toast. Nothing else. The food was also hospital bland but salt and pepper was available. Most of the staff seemed pleasant. I did not try dinner; if breakfast costs an arm; and isn't spectacular - then I'm not interested in paying a leg for dinner. Wife and kids had the healthy yoghurt and fruit, other kids had the pancakes and I had eggs and bacon. The food came out super quick, we were shocked how quick it came out. Food was good- nothing super special but the high rating was for the service, views and value. When you compare the jacked up prices at other chain breakfast places that are in the tourist area this place offers great value. You can pay $25 for a breakfast combo at that chain pancake house or $25 for Watermark's breakfast plate but have slightly better food and views. I don't understand why this place doesn't have better reviews. The food is top-notch, the selection is mind-boggling, and the service is excellent. Maybe it's the price? Yes, the Watermark will set you back a few dollars. My wife and I both ordered the three-course meal and later decided to add dessert. I started with the crab salad, which was obviously very freshly cracked open crab. Delicious. I wife got the Caesar salad, which had a good Caesar dressing... Not the anchovy heavy type that I like, but good. Next came the mussels, which was a very large portion that could've been shared easily. Very tasty, with a nice broth. The big surprise was the fried brie: it's like the best mozzarella sticks you've ever had in your life. The New York strip steaks were huge, 10 ounce slabs of very well charred meat. I don't normally care for a sauce with my steak, but the rich jus that they had was excellent. We really didn't need dessert, but we got it anyway. The berry tart was wonderful, with a nice crack to the crust, and very nicely prepared berries. And, as I mentioned, the service was great. Yes, the price is a lot. But, you do have that magnificent view. And, as far as I'm concerned, the food was worth it. read more

He really tried to be attentive and fix things but the issues were not in his control. -View was nice of the falls but there are better views at better places. -the plating was very nice. Again, played beautiful, but they were absolutely rubber. Has to have been made days ago and reheated to death. Absolutely no flavor to them. Salad was ok. Paid extra for the charcuterie board that said that came with some meat patte but wasn't there. Cured Meats were good. Supermarket quality good. Salmon dish was bland. Cooked well but with no character or flavor. Duck was like licking soy sauce. Finally dessert. Let me just say, if you charging people almost $100 a meal plus drinks and add-on's, using canned chocolates a sin. Stay away. Don't waste your money. This place doesn't care about food. The atmosphere was very inviting. The restaurant was clean. The view was amazing however the service was not as inviting. The dinner plates had old food on it that was very visible. The waitress was rude. Every time I told her what I wanted she would tell me how much it cost as to insinuate that I could not afford what I was ordering. And when I asked her to stop doing it she seemed annoyed. I thought maybe it was the practice of the restaurant. But as I Listened to everyone else place their orders they were not informed of the price like I was. If this is her way of customer service, she needs retraining. It's not her job to judge what a person can afford. I still tipped her a nice tip because she provided a service however mediocre and judgmental it was. read more

We recently had a company dinner at this fine restaurant overlooking the Falls in the evening. We chose from the 3 course meal and it was very good. I had the French onion soup and then the 14oz ribeye steak and chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service was very good and we all had a great time, partly because the bill was picked up by the company . I believe I saw on the menu the 3 course meal was $79, with extras for some items like the steak I ordered. Partly what you pay for is the view which was very good, it would have been better without the 20cm of snow fall that was going on, but still a great view. The restaurant has great ambiance with live violin music playing modern hits, I found myself singing along to the tune even though it was a violin. We had been there before for a meal and I can't wait to go again. read more

The views are 5*. Although our hotel room was on a higher floor with the same view. So I'll rate the food. I got the Caesar salad, the risotto, and the chocolate lava cake. The Caesar was good but a little small. I mainly wish it were bigger because it was my favorite part of the meal. I only ate half of the risotto as it was very runny and not cooked as well as if prefer. Should have ordered something else. On another note, it's the only vegetarian entree which is a little odd when an entree is forced. The lava cake was good but nothing to write home about- I've had better. Food is mediocre at best. The beet salad was okay it supposed to have goat cheese there was so little you couldn't taste. My entree was the salmon. The salmon was good but the rest of the dish was terrible. The gnocchi were inedible! Not cooked and doughy. We made reservations a month in advance and requested a table with a view. When we a arrived and asked about the view table (this is why you come to this restaurant). The hostess kinda rolled her eyes and took us to a table stuck in a tight corner with a view of the American falls and a fantastic view of the flashing billboard. Wow! I'm very surprised why the rating star is low? I'm from Detroit, we visited Canada for our Anniversary. We usually ask locals around where we could go for delicious dinner with a breathtaking view of both falls lights up. We got a recommendation to check out this place. Of course, it's a last-minute and we took the risk we might not get the best tables and when we got there, it's was busy all the wall sides table were taken. So we were seated in the center, we could still see the falls but then 10 minutes later one of the couples left and we ask our waiter if we could get a move by the side and we did with no issue. Our server was amazing, served our bottle of wine on time! She recommends and suggests the best on the menu. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Upon arrival, we were told they could not accommodate us, but then somehow found a table for two in a nearby corner. We selected a bottle of wine and were later asked to pick another as we 'must have chosen from the wrong list' (the one at our table). The wine took a while to arrive, so we ordered an Old Fashioned while waiting. It was not good, and we did not finish it (a first). A beautiful plate of bread drizzled and sitting on olive oil arrived, but the bread was surprisingly cold. The food was so-so, but the filets were nicely made and tasted delicious. Our waitstaff was nice but all else was mediocre at best. We would not return to this restaurant. read more

The view is beautiful, and the food was okay. I liked having the option of picking 3 items from the menu for a decent price which can include appetizers, 1 entree, and deserts. I tried the octopus carpaccio, which some pieces were salty due to the large pieces of salt. The calamari was also salty but lemon made it better. I ordered the chicken entree and found it to be dry, which I should have expected but I enjoyed the sides and sauce. My partner said he really liked his entree which was the slow cooked short ribs and he's pretty picky with foods. Definitely go for the view! read more

Save the extra $100 you'll have to pay for a falls-view room and just come up here. For food snobs, please be sure to check the attitude at the door, as they inevitably always come to the conclusion that any buffet sucks. The selection here was standard breakfast food such as scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausages, potatoes, cereals, fruits, assortment of breads, bagels, and pastries. Also the wait-staff was very friendly. If you decide to sit right up next to the windows, be prepared to get a whole lot of sun. The raised booths offer some protection from the sun. The restaurant sitting atop the Hilton South Tower on Fallsview? Maybe they need to rename it the "HIGH Watermark" restaurant. I mean, where else would you easily find a $90 tab for an oh-so pedestrian choice of filet mignon with lobster tail? Or how about a seafood platter for 2 at $149? Sure there are other less pricey fare, but not much is on the menu that's south of $40, and that's just for the entree. No way around it - to dine at the top, you have to pay top-dollar, right? UNLESS...you go for breakfast! In a recent stay, we got the best seat in the house at the corner of the restaurant. At 33 floors high, the Watermark could thumb its nose at the ugly casino across the street. To the left of that eyesore are the rolling waters of the American falls: to its right, the majestic tumbling currents of Horseshoe Falls. Bring a pair of shades and a camera. You'll forget that it was for tummy food that you came. Oh breakfast was fine. It's the usual cornucopia of a full American breakfast, complete with an omelette chef eager to make yours to order: 2 yolks and 2 whole, with mushrooms, provolone, and a pinch of pepper? Consider it done. The bacon was full of maple-sweetness without an unwelcome intrusion of too much sodium. The pastries were nicely presented and tasted as good. Items missing that perhaps I should have expected: no berries of any kind, no smoked salmon, and no cheeses. the latter two I could have overlooked, but at 20 smackeroos, one would expect at least some ripe red strawberries begging to be sampled. I recently read we have so many strawbs in Florida this year that they're destroying crops to keep the price up. Coffee was unremarkable. Just out of curiosity, I went to the cafe buffet on the main floor. It was the EXACT same buffet, but it was jam-packed with not-so-early-risers - definitely more business than the upstairs sister dining. Take it from me, folks, at $5 more upstairs, do your eyes a favor and get on the elevator. It's well worth the extra dough. I don't know that I'd spring for that same view for dinner at the kind of premium I outlined. It might be more romantic at night, but I wonder how much of a full view of both falls you'd get, the falls being lit up at night notwithstanding. During the day, you see EVERYTHING.
