Had the pleasure of tasting some of their great items at a fundraising event I attended. It was an event to benefit the NACC, so it made sense that Starry Night would do the catering. There was a variety of appetizers, mini sandwiches, and desserts. My favorites were grilled vegetables that included among others, peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Perfectly flavored and grilled perfectly. I also enjoyed the mini BLT. Who can pass up anything with bacon. For me, it's always chocolate for me, so I went for the black hole brownie bites. The food here is addicting! Delicious, homemade style dishes. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming.

The Starry Night Cafe is located in the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center in Niagara Falls(the old Niagara Falls High School). The best way to enter is through the red door on Portage rd. The restaurant will be on the left-hand side when you walk in, but it can be easy to miss. The cafe has a small gift shop that features local artisan items such as art prints, jewelry, greeting cards. This is a great place to pick up a local souvenir if you are visiting the Niagara Falls area from out of town. The cafe itself is comfortable, though plain, but that is ok !. I would really love to see them go all out with the Starry Night theme and paint the walls a dark blue and just really tie the theme in a bit more. The point though is that the food was great and the service was friendly! I ordered the Pisces salad, which was substantial, with tuna salad, avocado, bacon, red onion and tomatoes. Everything was very fresh tasting. My granddaughter had a tuna melt with chips that I had to sample and it was also wonderful. Soda comes in the bottle. We look forward to going back, the sandwiches all sound amazing, as well as the soup and salads on the menu. read more

What a diamond in the rough! We had brunch here randomly and it was surprisingly incredible. Parking is random but once you enter the art center the cafe is pretty easy to find. The employees were all friendly and very helpful - if they aren't there hit the bell! They accommodated the 3 little kids with us and the food was incredible. We had the Northern Lights sandwich and the Orion - both delicious! Our friends had the mug omelettes and said it was the best omelette they've ever had! Great coffee and a cute little art shop in the space. The space itself didn't seem like much of a dining area but the food was so splendid and the people so nice it made up for the not-so-cafe environment. I can't believe I've completely forgotten to review this establishment for as long as I've been going there. The Starry Night Cafe is inside the first floor of the NAAC Building (the former NFHS). If you enter from the Portage Rd door its just a couple of rooms down on your left. Everyone is very friendly and completely helpful. The cafe itself has several tables, is surrounded by art (that's for sale) and beautiful renditions of Vincent VanGogh's Starry Night. Over the time I've been going to this cafe I've completely fallen head over heals in love with "The Big Dipper" sandwich. It's described as "slow roasted cabernet braised beef, white cheddar, grilled onions, horseradish aloli on grilled parmesan crusted Italian bread and served with a side of cabernet braising sauce to dip." Its a perfect description of DELICIOUSNESS! Chucks of tender beef, crisp cheesy bread, sweet grilled onions and the slightest tang of the horseradish. The cabernet braising sauce just takes it to the next level of OMG! It's my daughter's and I favorite sandwich EVER! I've also emensely enjoyed a variety of soups, an occasional special of habanero chicken breast sandwich, and more recently, "The Aldebaran Salad" (grilled chicken breast, blue cheese, dried cranberries, red onion, and house made balsamic vinaigrette). A neat little cafe inside the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center. I was surprised at the extensive menu for this hidden gem. Salads with quinoa, avocado, bacon - wraps with grilled vegetables, tasty soups and various healthy options. Lots of sandwiches too. I opted for a sandwich with grilled veggies and aioli and a cup of tomato soup with rice. Service was quick (I think it was the cook taking orders and doing the cooking) and the wraps were served with a side of potato chips. Delicious and delightful! I heard about their meal prepping, and asked if they offered prepared vegan meals. The chef said he didn't but he would for me! He designed 12 vegan meals for around $90, and they were DELICIOUS! Pizza, chick pea pita wraps, veggie soup, pasta. I was seriously amazed by the menu and the taste! He's incredibly talented and helpful! Creative yumminess Been to this cafe, which is in the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, a number of times and each time has been a "Wow!". Chef Joe is rocking out breakfast and lunch fare with celestial names, which also describes the quality..out of this world. He is sourcing local food as much as possible. Menu includes mug omelettes with unique ingredient combos, wraps and sandwiches. The soups are homemade and soul satisfying. I visited this restaurant a couple weeks ago .... I waited for twenty minutes because the lady was in the back. I could hear them talking. No one came out. Terrible. I left before I even got lunch. ..... I usually tend to not leave bad reviews but I just don't know how they let food come out of this "restaurant" just by the looks of it. There was a dog running around but the dog couldn't take my order. the carpet was stained and smelled. Floor tiles were broken and stained. It's in an old classroom maybe from 1970 that looks like it should have been abandoned. There were pictures of what must be the owners or employees, I got a good look at everything while waiting with no welcome. And the prices are way too high for food that is served in that place????
