Walked in here yesterday for a takeout order. It was 8:00pm on a Saturday night and Pine Street was pretty deserted. I had a hard time trying to figure where to park, as the street sign said it was okay to park but only until 6:00pm. I settled for the one-way side street, but even that wasn't convenient. The place has a counter and what looks like is a dining room on the left, but that was closed and dark. Perhaps only available in the daytime? At any rate, I ordered the west and sour chicken combo and a quart of wonton soup. It took them 15 minutes to prepare it, and I was on my way. There was a bit of a communication issue when I ordered (they struggle with English) and I received chicken fried rice, instead of pork fried rice in my combo. Though, it was good but not much chicken in the rice. They give you lots of little pieces of great tasting deep fried chicken breast, but the whole combo ($7.85) isn't that big. However, the egg roll is huge and is pretty good tasting. They give you a good amount of sweet and sour sauce in a container too. The quart of wonton soup had tons of huge wonton noodles, perhaps too many! It tasted good, but I'm not a fan of the brownish colored noodle-- I like a white noodle! Overall the food was pretty good, I just don't like the location for the struggle with parking.

This place is great! The family that works here is amazing. This is the ONLY Chinese place in the city I will go to! Get a combination plate and feed three people!

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

So much more comfy than chairs. From walking in to the restaurant to service at our table, all the staff was welcoming and friendly. After we ordered we were asked if we wanted bread and brought three slices of DiCamillo Italian bread. One for each us and they told us to let them know if we wanted more. I really liked that they asked, so bread would not get wasted. I do wish, however, that it would have been served warm. We ordered beans and greens soup and two specials, Taste of Italy (chicken Parm, 3 ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo) and stuffed rigatoni, which both came with a choice of soup or salad. When the food came, there was an ample amount of sauce and it was nice & hot. The red sauce was good, not sweet, but not acidic either... A nice balance. The Alfredo was super creamy. My chicken parm was perfectly cooked... Thin coating perfectly crisp with tender chicken inside. The stuffed rigatoni were enjoyed by my dad... Sure enough, each rigatoni was individually stuffed and sealed on the ends as the name suggests. We all had the beans & greens soup and enjoyed it.

Every single time I visit, I'm blown away by how they whip up each drink with such amazing flavors. The bursting boba is always spot-on. I've played around with so many flavor combos, and I can't say I've ever been disappointed--well, maybe just once when my drink had a bit too much lemon for my taste and not enough raspberry, but that's really rare for them as it was a first for me! The pad Thai--it's seriously the only thing I ever order because it's absolutely amazing! It always comes out hot and full of flavor that never lets me down. I can't recommend this place enough! Absolutely a five-star experience! If you haven't been yet, you really need to check it out--you'll be so glad you did!

We ordered the papaya salad, vermicelli combo, and the beef pho combo. The papaya salad was extremely disappointing. It wasn't quite Thai style and it wasn't quite Vietnamese style. It was a blend of the two and turned out sweet and nutty. It was misssing a lot of the elements that made papaya salad normally so satisfying and refreshing. There was no sour, no savory, and no kick at all. The vermicelli salad was not good at either. All of the meats were overcooked and lacked any flavor. The shrimp in particular was rubbery and barely paletable. The egg roll tasted like cheap Chinese restaurant eggroll. They also left the eggroll whole so I had to rip it to pieces by hand. The dressing was very mild and did not bring out any other flavors in the dish. Instead, it watered down any flavors that may have been there. A dash of strong fish sauce could have made the dish do-able, but when I asked for some, they brought out more of the weak dressing that the dish came with. The only saving grace was the pho. It wasn't top notch but the broth was a good mix of herbal and beefy and hit the spot. If you come here, just get the pho and save yourself the heartache and disappointment. My wife was so disappointed that after we left, I ordered papaya salad from Mandalay Restaurant down the road so she can get her papaya fix. To the restaurant, you guys have such a nice spot. Fall in love with your food again and bring forth some bold and authentic flavors. It's easy to get complacent when you are one of a few spots that have this type of food. You are unique enough to stand out in Buffalo, New York, but these dishes and flavors won't fly anywhere else. I know you are better than this.

As soon as we walked in, we notice the ambiance of the entire building is clean and well maintained. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept so you can see much of what is going on "behind the scenes". Upon entering the restaurant, we were appropriately greeted by staff who were very personable, respectful, and informative. The same attentive and personable service was given by the entire staff. We were able to ask questions about how the restaurant operates, being that it is operated by the Culinary Institute and its students and alumni. I'll spare you the details but it is an interesting dynamic. The food was excellent. We went for dinner and while there is a limited menu, the options were varied enough that anyone would be able to find something they will enjoy. This might be the most affordable three course meal I've had this decade. The food was prepared perfectly, the presentation was impeccable, and the service provided leaves nothing to be desired. The entire operation is run calmly and very efficiently. I am happy to have had the opportunity to dine at Savor and it is going on my short list of highly recommended upscale restaurants for anyone looking for a nice dinner at an affordable price. So if you're looking for a night out and don't want to break the bank, go support the students and alums from SUNY Niagara. I doubt you'll regret it at all.
