It has been a few years since I've been here. I think the last time I was here, it was before the pandemic. They have since changed their name, but it is still the same location. They have a huge variety of food, but all the food tends to be lukewarm and bland. Even on the weekends, the price is pretty affordable at $13.99 per person. Even though the food is far from spicy or even medium, I would still consider visiting here again if you are hungry and looking for a variety. After all, and they cook the food for everyone, and you could always add some spicy garlic sauce if you want to spice things up. Don't know why it says "Permanently Closed" as its still very much open. But the food is amazing here. I had a lot of the seafood and it was amazing! Cooked to perfection and delicious flavor. Fresh food coming out of the kitchen constantly so its always hot and fresh. However, a lot of people are extremely greedy and grab as much as 2 plates of a single item and empty a whole tray themselves. Disgusting behavior but what do you expect from the people from the falls? Its kind of quiet in there so it gets a bit weird because people can hear you talking and having quiet conversations. There are plenty of seats when we came in, the price for adult is $18.99 for Sunday all day. Pretty good food here, their fried chicken wing is very good, there are small sushi section, plenty of crab legs, they refill the tray fairly quickly. Basically you get your typical Chinese buffet food, chow mein, fried rice, rips, stream fish, green beans, spring roll, beef with broccoli etc. The place is clean and it's a bit dark inside, the service is good, they carry your empty dishes frequently and the waitress is attentive. This is the best buffet I have ever been to! The selection was huge, and all of the choices were fresh, hot and delicious! The waiter was attentive and pleasant, and the tables were clean, as was the rest of the restaurant. The cost of the meal was very reasonable. If I could give zero stars I would. Went for lunch with a party of 15 Saturday. My niece found a piece of plastic inside her sushi roll. Plastic had wording printed on it amd was about an inch big. Showed it to an employee, all they did was take 10% off her meal. A whole $1.50. They didn't even remove the item from the buffet! I will not go back! Terrible experience. read more

Stopped in for some dinner on our way home from Toronto. It was busy but we were seated right away. All of the food was fresh and hot. I will say the selection is pretty small for the price though. There are only 2 hot buffets and 2 cold, one of which is the seldom used salad bar. The other is a sad looking dessert bar. The desserts were pretty gross. The ice cream bar was great though and had a ton of flavors. I've been coming here since I was a kid and honestly not much has changed. This morning I used the Maps app on my iPhone to search for an Asian buffet in the Buffalo area that I hadn't eaten at before. I selected "New Star Buffet" and took a bus towards there without realizing it was in Niagara Falls. Then I discovered the restaurant had changed its name to Niagara Falls Buffet. For a lunch at $11.95, they had a good assortment of food. However, a hibachi grill would've been nice, plus more of a sushi selection. One surprise was 12 choices of ice cream. That's the most I've seen at any Asian buffet. I also commend the seating hostess who let me sit at a large table (usually reserved for tour groups) near an outlet so I could charge up my phone while eating. The place was reasonably clean. Glasses of water were brought to me in a timely manner. I might come back here again when in Niagara Falls. read more

I think the service is really good. The staff is very friendly and they are quick to refill your drink. The food is just not very good. I've gone a couple times and I think that's it for me. I've been to Chinese buffets that have had a better quality of food. This is not one of them. Lunch price is $10.99 as of review date so again, very cheap! Just not very good. Food is limited choices sushi is Pre made and sitting for hours untouched other basic Chinese food was okay but service for drinks really slow and got pushed out of the way by a waitress when trying to get ice cream so she could re stock. My family went on vacation to Niagara Falls during the summer when we go on vacations I usually choose where we eat (and we mostly like Buffets). So I searched up on google buffets near our hotel A.K.A Best western (only five Minutes away and a great hotel). When I looked at the photos from the outside wasn't my cup of tea I was like alright never judge a book by it's cover so we went Inside it was pretty nice the ambiance was very cool anime was playing on the the tv yeah there was nobody there and the waitress was super duper nice one of the best in the world. Now I'm a HUGE seafood guy all the seafood was good even though the sushi was a little small i'm not complaining. They have a good variety of food and I loved it all I would recommend this to everyone who lives or vacations in Niagara Fall :) read more

On the down side, not a huge choice of different foods. The place and staff were nice. This restaurant is just ok. If I am back in the area I may just actually go back again. The buffet is full of food! We never saw an empty dish. The food was fantastic. Everyone was cheerful and friendly. A few of the dishes offered were out of this world. I gave it 5 stars because the place is clean, wait staff are friendly, they explain the dishes to you, the tables were cleared in a timely manner, we never ran out of drinks. Food was cold On my way out one of the workers didn't see me and ran into me knocking me to the floor where I hit my shoulder, head and went down on my already bad knee. I didn't think to file any report as I just wanted to get out of there and go home. The man who I believe is the owner should have asked me for my name which he never did. I have a bruised shoulder and knee and sore wrist from how I landed in the floor. The girl apologized and stated she didn't see me. I've dines at Niagara Falls Buffet many times. My own personal choice as a local is to order from their take-out menu. Their takeout food is excellent! They have a large choice of items on the buffet and I've enjoyed dining in but I prefer their wonderful take-out menu much more. Of course, that's not always a choice for many so I understand. They don't offer any delivery which other local chinese competitors do but I feel it's well worth the drive to pick up my order. read more

Between buffalo and Niagara Falls, this is the best Chinese buffet in the area. Their food quality is always consistent and the staff is always friendly. The restaurant is always clean & have never had an issue with cleanliness. The lunch buffet is $8.99 plus the price of a drink unless you get water (which doesn't taste like it came straight from the river which is great!) They have take out containers which they weigh. For lunch times, they charge $6.99 per pound- not too bad but it's probably cheaper just to eat in the restaurant lol I don't have a reason to give them any less than 5 stars! read more

Name of Restaurant is actually Niagara Falls Buffet so if ur looking for the store front thats what u should see Traveling with a family of 7 is hard with Covid...making food decisions is difficult. They made it easy and safe! You can eat indoors, plenty of room for social distancing and they give u plastic gloves! INGENIOUS!!! The food is ur average chinese food! Salt/Pepper shrimp is on point..only downside u gotta peel..but its finger licking good. General Tso Chicken was pretty good and they even have the coconut shrimp with mayo! I don't care for buffets at all. I feel as though the quality of food isn't really worth it and I don't choose to eat that much in one setting. However, I was with a group so majority rules. The food wasn't bad though and the lunch price was reasonable. They quickly sat us down. I appreciated the fact that they had a great selection of fruit which was all fresh. Typically, they had what your Chinese buffets usually have. However, they did not have much of a sushi selection at all and their seafood options were very limited. This buffet was a bit smaller, and less selections than what I am used to from times I have been to buffets previously. Not far from the military base which we were conducting training at so that's a positive to this establishment and the fact that we were limited on time it helped that the food was already prepared. Overall, not a bad place if you want to grab something quick or are with a big group but also not somewhere I highly recommend. Depends on the situation. read more

After reading the reviews we decided to leave the tourist area surrounding Niagara Falls and go try this Chinese buffet out. Food was cold, mushy and we didn't like the taste of the General Tso chicken. Plates were sticky and they have a tacky sign that reads " you will be charged by the pound for wasted food". Being from the south we don't get good Chinese food like here in the north. We weren't impressed at all and after spending 30.00 in Uber fees to get there and back. It was a waste of money that I should of just put in the slot machines at the casino. read more

As others have mentioned, the selection is somewhat limited but that may be because I came here for lunch. However, this place is ideal for families with finicky children. They not only have the usual fries but even chicken nuggets. One of my sons would have been thrilled had I not been dining alone before my workout. As for the more traditional dishes, the bites of sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken that I tried were bland but inoffensive. There was only one or two other chicken dishes. They had a lot of seafood including more unique offerings like squid, stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab. I love their crab Rangoon. Not only did it have the perfect cream cheese to crab ratio, and no yucky greens, but the wanton is the perfect size as well, just enough to maximize delivery of the cream cheesy crab goodness. The desserts looked like the usual offerings, but the taste was amazing, especially the coffee chocolate cake. The restaurant is clean and attractive. The staff is friendly and just the right amount of present. Lunch and a drink (they have actual Coke products - bonus!) comes to about $10, which is about what you'd pay for lesser food at the mall food court. read more

We came to Niagara Falls from Boston, Ma. for a few days to bring my in laws and we found this buffet, the food was on point! Everything was so delicious! The waitstaff was super friendly and made sure our drinks were always filled. About ten minutes from our hotel near the falls. Gotta drive a little slow otherwise you'll miss the parking lot. I was in town with a tour group and we dined at New Star Buffet. I'm not a huge fan of these types of buffets but I've been to some that I ended up really liking. I can't say New Star Buffet is on that list though. There is ample parking out front and a lot of tables throughout the restaurant. There are both normal tables with chairs and booths. There are about 4-5 buffet stands with a variety of food. The food variety was the same as what you typically expect at a Chinese buffet. When I dined here, the restaurant wasn't that busy - I'm not sure if that's how it is on a regular basis though. I personally can't really say there is anything that stood out to me about New Star Buffet. read more

This is just a cheap Chinese buffet. I am not having delicate palates, so I am just saying okay for the quality of their food. However, their customer service is worst of worst. Beware of this trip hazard! My mother fell down while walking around due to this hazard, but they just ask whether she is okay. They just don't care safety of the customers. They should have been fix this before sometime! It seems like they are accepting lots of customers from group tours. They may include many (Asian) foreign senior citizens, but they do not consider the their safety. It is such a great shame. Well, after complaining this issue, they claimed that my mom was running without care. There is no logical reason because there were so many people filling in the restaurant. She also said that she did not run. I was so angry, but they did not say any apologies about the safety hazard. read more
