Open at 9am on a Sunday was a plus for us too; it was situated across the street from an old Irish church and we enjoyed listening to the bells as we sat. Great coffee, great service - come for low or no sugar classic beverages served with little cookies or biscotti. I didn't try the sandwiches or omelettes, but they looked delicious. Pretty easy to find, the restaurant is located inside the strip mall, so there was plenty of parking available. The outside is a little deceptive, because the inside looks much more elegant. I was one of the first people in in the morning, so coffee was fresh and hot. This place was very reminiscent of a American Diner, and felt very much like home. The lady there went out of her way to make me feel right at home, as if I was having breakfast in someone's house. One thing you should make sure of, is either bring Canadian cash, American cash, or a Canadian debit card. They don't accept credit cards or American debit. The food was great, my eggs were perfectly. The French toast was on point, and the bacon was crispy. Bottom line? Next time I'm in town I will definitely try this place again for breakfast, and might check it out for lunch!

Very welcoming, very friendly, busy and buzzing. Visiting from the States? This feels like home. Best part of the experience here was HILDA our server. Her performance was exemplary. Very polite, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable & attentive. I wish every server performed at her level. She could be a server at a high end establishment, for sure. Seemed to take pride in her work. So then I ordered a green tea and it was served to me in a dirty cup. The rim of the cup had crusty milk all around on it. Ewwww. It was a terrible experience. Ask any local about Basell's and they'll tell you memories of coming here after the bars closed way back in the day, or just coming for breakfast when they were kids. Well let me tell you, this place is definitely on point. They have such a great vibe to them, and the food is really really good. So I expected this one to be just as good as the other one.
