Breakfast for lunch is always a winner. Amazing selection of Egg Bennys! Perfect balance between warm, yokes perfect on a great English muffin! Home fries that were cooked perfect. Warm. Not too hot! Loved the old bench seating and loads of window seats! Waitress was friendly outstanding and good came quick! read more

This has been well reviewed and everyone looked genuinely pleased. I'm going to say we got unlucky. The coffee was really good. The staff is extremely pleasant. I probably made a mistake getting a monte cristo considering how I make and like my own. The waffles were kind of pasty. Off day? Bad/over mix? I want to say unlucky. Definitely popular and quite a packed place. read more

I had a great experience here. Service was great, looked like a maybe outside, but the food was really great. read more

Located at the corner of Townline Road E. and Merrit Road. There is plenty of parking with a short walk to the front doors. The restaurant was 25% filled and was told to choose any table I wanted. Was presented the menu and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Coffee came fast and was an ok taste. Selected the Early Bird Special to see how their name sake special was with Sunny and rye bread. The presentation was ok... but the home fries were a little crunchy for my liking. The bread was lightly toasted and could have spent an extra 30 seconds to get a light crunch. The coffee refill was slow... first cup came likity split but the 2nd arrived when the bill was presented... for 2.75 I would expect a little more service. This is targeted as a diner and would have enjoyed the bar top setup than this restaurant style setup with diner level food. Will try out other restaurants for their offerings and make a final decision read more

Ppl r very friendly here. But the wait for the breakfast is a little ridiculous.... I've sat at the restaurant for almost a hr and yet I still have not received my breakfast.... I finished the coffee in 15-20 mins after getting it and 30 mins after still no refills... Are there refills I don't know... Finally for the food 50 mins from the order time n the dish didn't really wow me... For such a long wait id thought the dish would look fabulous, fresh fruit cut n decor like a something fancy instead of just a scoop in a dish. The food and all was OKAY. Would I come back umm not really since there are so many other diners around. I saw how they cleaner the tables and chairs but I still see stains on the chairs .. I had to switch around a couple to find one that has the least amount before sitting .. Umm overall I can't say the place is horrible cause it just regular diner food. But I wouldn't come again since the wait was way too long and it's Soo cold in here that I started getting a runny nose at the end of Breakfast. read more

Came here twice, for breakfast, during our week's stay at Niagara Falls. A waitress at Niagara Brewing suggested this location for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of parking, friendly staff and great food. Between both visits we had eggs, bacon, home fries crepe, soup and fruit. All fantastic and the juices and coffee complimented everything. read more

I love Yelp is used in Canada. It makes finding places easy. Thanks to the Yelpers, I found this little gem. It's one of those interesting areas that shares a parking lot with what seems to be an apartment building. Once you walk in, this place is happening. Very busy which is always a good sign. It's cute with a modern twist on a "dated restaurant vibe" but it totally fit and was enjoyable (ie: our table was covered in a strawberry print). You just have to see it for yourself. Ok, the food...100% amazing! The menu had so much variety and when I say I could have ordered 1 of everything, esp. since they have some pictures, I wasn't kidding. I made a decision to order the Sammies which are basically English Muffin sandwiches with a side of fruit. I was also eyeing the Spanish Omelette and lucky for me, my husband ordered that so we could split our meals. They were both so good and truly was the best of both worlds. The service was great too! Go, go, go, this place won't disappoint. read more

Local spot for breakfast/brunch, this spot fills up fast with tourists and locals. Luckily, we got a table for two without waiting too long. This has your typical brunch foods - eggs, pancakes, steak/eggs, etc. The decor is kinda kitchy, the servers are really friendly and accommodating. I ordered the steak and eggs and they did the eggs as I asked (I don't like running yolk...yes i know..i know). The steak was cooked perfectly, the hash browns were nice and crispy. The tables are a little close together ( a pet peeve of mine) but other than that. this is a solid spot for a delicious breakfast that won't break the bank. Our hotel did give us a coupon for 15% off, but even without it, the prices were fair. read more

Great food , price and the amount is delicious close to my brother house is the perfect place for us

Great spot to come for breakfast or lunch. Food is always good and the waitresses are friendly and it is our go to place now.

Hands down delicious! Speedy service, and wonderful people! The food arrived in 5 minutes. The diner itself had a very homey feeling. read more

The service isn't great. The place was packed when I went. The server put us right by the kitchen/counter so we couldn't hear ourselves over the servers and cooks shouting at each other. And the other customers and music were also super loud. The food, though, was classic dinner food. The coffee was mediocre but good enough if you add sugar. The eggs and meat were cooked to my liking, and the fries were just as I'd expect from a cute diner. I love that we have a diner right at the heart of downtown. It is strange though, and I wish they were open later! read more

Crossed the border just to try this place. Cute, home town restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the Falls. Food was great and made to order with fresh ingredients. Our server Kate was very nice and attentive. The colors and vibrancy of the decor makes you feel good. If you have time to travel maybe 20 minutes from the Falls, this place is worth the drive. read more

Early Bird breakfast Thorold, a good place to go for a fast breakfast however the food is the avagrae pace to dine. Home fries are unbelievably salty, everything seems to be covered in salt or just cold read more

The food is generic. Pre-packaged, microwaved, mixes... It's fine for what it is. But the restaurant doesn't feel clean. It could use a makeover, for sure. But it doesn't strike me as some place that would spend the money on something like that. It's often busy though. It's inoffensive enough. Nothing stands out as a highlight though. read more

I frequent the Bird often and the food is consistent and always good. Service is fast and friendly. My kids love the crepes. The $3.99 early bird special gives everything you want...eggs, meat, potatoes and toast. The all in gives you all three meats and pancakes or French toast. Way too much food for me. read more

What a relief to find this local place . Not a tourist attraction so the food is fresh, yummy and the service is fantastic. Definitely make the 12 minute drive . It's worth it. This is THE BEST breakfast place I have ever been! I went a couple of years ago for the first time and ordered the omelette with the works. It came with a bed of home fries, toast, and fresh fruit! I love this little place for breakfast. I like the food and the presentation on the plate. The waitresses are most friendly you can find in St. Catharines. This restaurant is at times very busy with line-ups, but the wait is worth it. Bring your laptops/iPads as I do bc they have WiFi too. Brock Students swarm this place during the school year. I think it is because of the price level with abundance of food. Dennis N. , St. Catharines, ON. read more

Amazing service! The food was really good here. We had brunch while visiting from NYC. The chicken and waffles were excellent, as well as the burger. My husband chose to have cheese and gravy on his fries that he didn't love. We also ordered a fruit bowl, which was great! Everything ok the menu looked exceptionally good. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Niagara. read more

Restaurant has a family restaurant and diner vibe with very friendly and helpful staff whose patrons are mostly from the area and are definitely repeat customers. We had two breakfast meals here in our two nights in St. Catherines, both the dishes we chose were excellent and went well with fresh coffee. The vegetarian skillet on the first day and the steak and eggs on the second hit the spot during this holiday season. The menu is quite extensive with both sweet and savory options, something for everyone. There is parking though we had to look a little as it gets pretty packed, not sure about the street parking. This restaurant is a walk, about 1.2km or so, from the nearby Stone Mill Inn. We walked one day and drove the next. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to those visiting and living in the area. The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is close with its abundance of great wineries, and of course the outlet mall is nearby as well. Looking forward to our next visit at some point in the future. read more

Early bid restaurant is a nice little dinner located in thorold. They are famous for their breakfast but have other lunch options as well like, chicken fingers, sandwiches and so on... The menu is decently priced and can be seen as a weekend student hub. I ALWAYS order the early bird goes all in. It's a great value for the amount of food given. I always get two bacon and two sausage instead of all of one kind, they are always okay with this! Their homefries are really good, so I always order a side dish for $2.50 (Great price) which gets you a really big bowl of them. The Early bird goes all in also has the option of French toast, pancakes OR CREPES. I always get the crepes which comes with whipped cream, strawberry sauce and sugar topping. I have yet to find another place that does this so it's a unique bonus that I like. The service is usually good, I never have issues but i do always go when it is busy so it's understandable. Honestly, the only thing about this restaurant is that the table covers look ridiculous. They have patterns of fruits and vegetables and in my opinion, is just too tacky. The chairs are a little uncomfortable for a guy who's looking to spread his legs out a little as the arm rests are tight together. The booths are very big but most of the seating is tables. Overall, I like to come here for breakfast every now and then. The servers are nice, the food is great and the coffee is hot. I plan on going back and ordering my usual. 3.8 out of 5 read more

The food is good and not too pricey and the staff is friendly. I've been here multiple times and the quality of food and service is consistent. Healthy options are available. Only complaint is that the water tastes really awful so I can't drink it, and I don't want to spend $2.50 on their other, less healthy drink options. Their coffee isn't good either so I skip that. read more

I have been there a few times, and I wasn't hugely impressed. All of their meat and potatoes are excessively over-salted to the point where it's almost inedible. I'm 90% sure my waffles were reheated from frozen from the grocery store, and it came with bananas that were completely brown and tasted foul. Prices are low, but a $10 breakfast is way too high for the quality of what should be a $3-4 meal. Portion sizes are decently large, but it's hard to eat the whole plate because of the saltiness/dryness of all the food. I've had a lot of confusion about what exactly their hours are, as many times at reasonable morning hours I've considered dining there, but they were visibly closed. The staff are very nice and it is the only redeemable quality of the restaurant that I can think of. read more
