Oh wow!! Worth a detour off the QEW- we were driving home from Toronto and decided to stop for lunch shortly before they closed. Darling interior and also acts as an art gallery with a beautiful art available to purchase. We had read online their specialty was pork belly, but we also asked the chef for his recommendation. We each settled on a different pork belly dish and we were not disappointed. We will be sure to stop the next time We are passing through. Absolutely delicious!

This is a super cute little restaurant. I really liked the friendliness of the staff, and they were attentive without hovering. The taste of the waffle was a bit unusual for me, but still very tasty. I'd love to go back and try more!

The Pork Belly is to die for to be honest. They are very sweet people and everything has home made feel. The Hot sauces are on the watery side but still verrrrrry tasty. They put this honey Dijon on their pork belly and it is a game changer for the whole mix

Good brunch spot on the side of the road. Service was very nice, the chef came out to greet us. Inside is very homey and cozy. A bit on the pricier side but quality is good and seems to be family owned. Menu is always changing to chef preference. Be wary of rules, there is a "seating fee" of $25 per person if said person comes with a party but doesn't order a dish. There is also a max time of 1 hr per table.

The service here is only surpassed by the caliber of the food. In a word - amazing. We will definitely will be back. Porkbelly + Brie Benedict was an absolute hit, the Lobster + Florentine Benedict was great as well. The Cherry Cheesecake Pain Perdu was a delightfully elevated take on French Toast. The neighborhood seems a little rough, but for those who brave the parking and the other challenges a true jewel awaits to be discovered.

Since Covid even stalwart favourites have left me disappointed in service or quality. So I approached Bistro Mirepoix with trepidation believing it could not live up to its online reviews. I'm happy to shout that not only did this little Bistro exceed my expectations but that it was one of the most delicious dining experiences in recent memory. Highly, highly recommended

Great little spot! Pork belly Benedict is amazing! Lobster Bennie is also very good. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly.

This is amazing. The food was top notch fine dining! That was not too expensive at all. I loved the notion of a rotating menu that honors local food and is good and wholesome. So first off we pulled up and the store didn't look like much. But as soon as we entered inside I felt like we had been transported to a modern farm kitchen that was quaint and bright. It was so pleasant inside. So the menu is on the wall and It stipulated that is you were seated you are ordering. Everyone has to order something and they have a "just toast" option for those that maybe don't want anything. Everyone sits, everyone orders, and everyone pays $25. Looks like drinks were at an addition charge. The summer salad was amazing. It was greens, small tomatoes, nuts, goat cheese (just enough), cooked stone fruit, warm asparagus, and a balsamic drizzle. I asked for my strawberry balsamic dressing on the side, but that's mostly because I don't normally dress my salad. It didn't need It. It was amazing. I also tried my daughters sourdough waffles, whole cannoli, sooooo good. I can't even explain. Caramel drizzle, almonds, stone fruit, a sugary treat, so delicious. And my husband said it's the best food ever too. So good!!! I wish we lived closer!

We came here on a rainy Sunday morning and it was quite crowded inside the restaurant. They have a large patio so I'd recommend coming on a nice day, since the indoor tables are very close together. I ordered the Classic Breakfast and substituted the sourdough bread for extra potatoes. Everything was delicious, I was so impressed by the pork belly. It had so much more meat than I expected and was bursting with flavour. My partner got the Pork Belly and Brie Benedict and was similarly impressed by it. We both savoured every bite and finished off our plates so fast because everything was excellent. There is a $25 seating fee that covers the cost of any of the entrees, I guess so someone can't take up a table just to buy a coffee. The entrees are quite a bit bigger than they look in pictures, so I thought the price was reasonable for the size and quality. We really enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back here again sometime!

I accidentally found this place when I was searching on Google Maps to find a top rated place for an early lunch and I was amazed by the quality of the food and service. It has a small backyard patio and cozy din-in tables. Their creative menu has less than 15 options and is rotating and written on a chalk board. But everything is tasteful and fresh. The lovely lady who took our orders helped us pick our food. We ordered "Lobster Florentine Benedict" and "Brisket Burger". Both of them were toothsome and of high quality.

Go big or go home with this first taste of freedom. The pork belly and brie eggs benedict ($20) beckoned, not merely because of the decadence of the dish, but it being something so intricate that I'd never make myself. Despite all this quarantine cooking, I'm not about to start smoking pork belly, whipping up hollandaise sauce, or even attempt to poach eggs. All this I'll leave to the professionals. That first bite was just heavenly. The thick slab of pork belly nicely rendered that I could even overlook it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Despite having a golden caramelized crust, it was surprisingly soft and melded into molten egg yolks so nicely. With all the creamy elements, if that slice of sourdough bread lining the plate was toasted more to add a crunchy complement, the dish would be perfect. I dove into the plate with gusto, dipping the hot roasted fingerling potatoes into egg yolk. How can I make this hour sitting limit last? Try as I might, I couldn't finish all the starches. This benny is a hearty dish that leaves you full all day. Thankfully, I had the sense to get a side of greens ($5), the balsamic tossed spring mix really helps cut the fattiness of the pork belly. Without it, the decadence may be overwhelming. Just one dish will provide enough sustenance for the day, which is perfect for a day out in wine country. Take the classic breakfast ($22) - there's a big hunk of pork belly, a sizeable sausage patty and baked beans as well. A big breakfast to soak up all the tipples of a wine-fueled day. The restaurant's proximity to Jordan station and Niagara-on-the-Lake certainly makes it an easy stopping point.

Wow what a find. Staying in Niagara and decided to venture out for food. My group, which included some picky eaters, was very skeptical when we arrived due to location and parking. We all thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast/meals and everyone, even the picky ones, agree this is a must. We had the sourdough waffles and the big breakfast. I had the big breakfast and the pork belly was probably one of the best that Ive had. All the meals were outstanding and service was top notch. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in.

One word, perfect. Open for 8 months now, we just found this place. You would not be able to tell from the outside what a treat you're in for. Everything is fresh and home made. The breads just came out of the oven. The meats out of the smoker. The owner served the food with pleasurable smile. The food is delicate, thoughtful and diverse. The Pork belly, avocados, ratatouille or salmon, you simply cannot go wrong. In the end we we arguing about whose meal best. It says a lot when we couldn't come to a consensus. Thank you for a wonderful experience. UPDATE 29/1/2020 Never stops to be amazing. This is just such a wonderful place. Everything on the menu is amazing.

During Canada Day, Fort George has a BBQ (hamburgers and hotdogs), live music, canon performance and fireworks. This location is ideal if you want some freedom to rest / go elsewhere throughout the day. Only a 6 min walk or so from Fort George. Room: A bit dated but if you are just staying one night it's fine. I wasn't in the room much. However, traditional rooms face parking lot so I recommend asking for 3rd floor. It is a bit dark but more privacy on a higher floor. Also I think room could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust collected by the windows. Service: Staff at hotel are quite nice and during Canada Day, they served sangria in the lobby and had some cute Canada Day sparklers, stickers, a small candy bar, etc. They also text you asking if you need anything and rate your experience with them. Amenities: On the Basement level, open 7:00am-10:30pm there is an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and gym available. By the elevators they also provided a tea/coffee bar. I went right at 7am and no one was there, nice and quiet so you have it to yourself. Another service they have is a shuttle. You can request it to take you to fort york, into the town, and other areas but it's close to a lot of places so we never ended up using this service. Overall, not a bad stay and I wouldn't mind coming back if this location was near some activities I wanted to check out like Canada Day. If just coming for a regular stay/ anniversary/ celebration - I would lean towards like deluxe rooms and above. For instance, deluxe rooms face the marina with lots of sun but only has king beds.
