Loved the ambience, and had a super sweet waitress who recommended a gorgeous walk back to the touristy side of town by following the river. The food was delicious, and the very large 4524 special was enough for 2 people to have as a whole breakfast and we shared with 2 other family members. I would definitely go back!

Pretty decent breakfast Lots of locals which is a good sign. Tammy was great! Is in the Queen Street historic district about a block and a half from the wego stop. Taking the green line wego its north of the falls which stops at the Queen Street district. Check them out. read more

Legacy Diner outside the tourist trap. Came in for breakfast two morning and enjoyed the Meat Lovers omelet. The Retro Diner is what brought us into the diner. Will be our 1st stop next time back to Niagra Falls. The local residence know were to eat along with 6 Niagra Falls Police. read more

We had read that the Hi-Lite was one of the better breakfast restaurants in Niagara Falls so we decided to check it out. Now I have eaten at numerous diners in various cities and understand what diner food is all about. Hi-Lite did not measure up. While the portions were huge, the food was average. The coffee was warm and watered down. Service was slow and the booths not the most comfortable.The decor tried to mimic the 1950s, but just didn't feel that genuine. And a few oddities: while we were in Canada, the syrup was "table," not maple; and why would you get toast along with your french toast? Overall, a filling yet so-so culinary experience. read more

What a great find. I love an old time diner. Seemed to have maintained a lot of original fixtures. I loved watching kids experience their first jukebox. Enjoyed a large chef salad and a side of gravy and fries. Service was friendly although on the slow side. Definitely would go back if I am back in the area. read more

A great find in downtown Niagara Falls. It is old-school diner food, sandwiches, burgers and fries and very well made. There wasn't much choice in the afternoon in downtown on a weekday, so this place was a pleasant surprise. It's not just good for no other choice, it is good on it's own and deserves more love than it is getting. Sure, there was a bit of a wait, but that's how it is post-covid in the service biz. My sandwich was perfect and the place very clean and stylish. Plus cheap! In a tourist town, very happy to not be charged too much for too little. This place is a deal! It's worth coming out of the falls area for a meal here. read more

We were in Niagara Falls for a quick overnight family getaway and stayed by the Falls. We did want to eat breakfast at the traditional overpriced touristy chains breakfast places. The Hi-Lite was well rated and priced what you expect to pay for a breakfast. The service was outstanding with a very friendly and personable waitress. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, especially the from scratch home fries. Certainly worth a short drive to get great food and support a local restaurant. Highly recommended! read more

A nice throwback to the 80s. A little run down however the service was incredibly kind. The food itself had a nice homely feel to it, with (for us Europeans) kindly smaller portion sizes but still large enough that we were fully fed. Food was expertly seasoned, and tasted fresh. Probably the best feature were the jukeboxes on the walls. If ever traveling through Niagara Falls, fully recommend this restaurant, which sits in a really beautiful area and is nice and close to the bus and train terminal. read more

Overall, it's a decent spot with good food and a nice setting, but the beer prices and the issue with the unlisted bacon definitely took away from the experience. Pretty easy to find, you can't miss the rustic looking exterior with the blind pig in huge letters on top. There's a decent amount of parking, but I'll bet when this place gets busy it's tougher to find a spot. When you walk inside, the interior is very well kept and has a rustic bar-like feel to it, plenty of bar and high top seating as well as booths. I decided to order an iced tea. Something I've noticed about Canada, iced tea is usually a sweetened drink. Not like iced tea you get in the states. So just be aware of that if you're looking to get some iced tea. Regardless, it was very tasty and hit the spot perfectly. One thing I like about this place is they have a bunch of different specials throughout the week, the day I went the special was the brisket sandwich and side salad for $13.99 Canadian. I upgraded to the Caesar salad, and also ordered a side of KFC, or Korean fried Chicken for those of you in the know. Let me tell you something about that. KFC, absolutely delicious! How can you go wrong with fried chicken thighs with Korean BBQ sauce? You can't, that's what I'm telling you! The brisket sandwich was really really good, albeit just a tad dry. But I'm not deducting any points for that. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Service was great, friendly staff, and everything came out as expected. Bottom line? I will definitely be back for that brisket sandwich. They also had some other specials so I guess I'm going to need to spend an entire week here and just eat my life away at the blind pig.

Cocktails were delicious and so were our meals. The oysters aren't pictured here but they were absolutely perfect like always. Both fish dishes were expertly cooked and each had a lovely sauce to along with it. The staff are always friendly and give great recommendations and suggestions for ordering oysters and making selections. This is a wonderful gem that we visit every year for good reason. They are incredibly consistent and we enjoy our meal every time.

My family and I stopped in for breakfast before heading back to NJ yesterday. Thank God for reviews, they didn't lie about this place. Everyone was pleased and super full from the portions that we received. There was only one hostess, but she held it down and made sure that everyone was taken care of. Great place to eat! The portions are great, the food is cooked well and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The Old Timer Special is one of the best breakfast options around and everything is priced so well you will be shocked at how little your bill is for the amount of food -- plus the old school decor, diner-style counter and stools and old jukeboxes at every booth make for a cool step-back in time. read more

Amazing service and nice waitress, french toast is amazing! Great tunes, could use a cool syrup dispenser. Great aesthetic. It's a bit wasteful to use individual packages syrup containers, but I love the icing sugar and cinnamon shakers! Cool mini jukebox machine, sucks that it's broken though...kind of gets your hopes up. Amazing prices! But it sucks that its cash only. And the location us a bit sketchy... read more

Just remodeled. Food is always great and plentiful. Don't bother going to the fast food chains. You can get a great hamburger and fries here for a comparable price and better taste. Even though we moved out of the area we are going for breakfast here today after we do some lab work. Hope to see you there. Best prices in town. read more

Wonderful location away from the strip. Great breakfast...huge pancakes and delicious sausage. The awesome woman...Stacy was running around (adjacent construction, caused problems to plumbing) was amazing and kept the coffee charged. Definitely come here and eat...the atmosphere and price is right. read more
