Been to sunset grill a few times and it's a pretty solid brunch place. They have a good amount of savory options. I got their new Mexican omelette which was pretty tasty. The potatoes were decent but I wished they were crispier. The rye toast was a good side. But I didn't like that their guac was not fresh, you can tell it's from a premade bottle and tasted artificial. Service was fine. I also feel like to portion sizes have decreased in the last year. My niece had their avocado toast which was so small this time with barely any toppings. And even my omelette had only 2-3 pieces of jalapeños in it. Overall it's not my first pick for brunch but it's a decent place especially for a big group (we were 9 people).

Yogurt with fruit (hard to see the granola but it's on the side), other food in the back

Relatively cost effective place to grab food in Niagara on the Lake. It opens at 7 AM and has indoor and outdoor seating. We went around 9 AM and there was still plenty of open seats inside. (The outside probably filled up faster) Our waitress was really nice. She humored our baby reaching often sticky fingers towards her. I got the yogurt with fruit which was a huge portion size and a side of peameal bacon. I wish the granola that accompanied the yogurt was a bit bigger in portion size but it was nice that it was on the side since granola can get soggy very quickly. I was impressed that my husband's waffles came with an individual sized glass container of maple syrup. He liked it so much he bought one to purchase as a souvenir. I didn't check out the washroom so I can't comment on that or whether it has a baby changing room. I just wish it closed later (rather than at 4 pm) since it's generally much cheaper than other places in NOTL. We hope to return for breakfast here before our trip is over.

Good for a quick breakfast. It's nothing special. But it's good. What more do you need? Eggs Benedict was interesting. As an American, I expected more out of Canadian bacon in Canada. Just not impressed here. It was covered in fat all around. Toast was a little thick for me but didn't break my meal.

We chose to sit outside and it was a gorgeous day. I served was very nice and took great care of us. Food was good! Came out quickly and correct. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

The first Sunset Grille I visited was in Toronto and, as a visitor to Canada, I didn't realize that it was a chain at first. It was very odd to see a chain restaurant on Queen Street in NOTL... but there is a reason that restaurants become chains and, with street seating readily available, it really satisfied our urge for a basic breakfast. We were seated quickly in the streetside dining area by a very pleasant hostess and our beverage order was taken and filled quickly. Likewise our breakfast order was taken and served promptly, with a smile and some kind words from the server. As I said before, we were looking for a basic breakfast. I had blueberry pancakes which were fluffy and delicious... Berries in the batter, not pie filling on top which is good, but also a little blech. My wife (vegetarian) had southwest vegan hash... home fries with peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and guacamole. I tried them and was actually a little jealous. All in all a very solid breakfast experience with some great people watching. They may be a chain in a town full of local restaurants but they do breakfast right!

A nice quaint country style restaurant. Location is a plus. So many stores around to spend the morning. The staff is really nice and down home. The restaurant is clean and in order. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad but not a place I would be looking to go back to anytime soon. Until next review Kisses

Stumbled upon sunset grill while strolling in Niagara on the lake Main Street. It is a diner set in the middle of town. Definitely bustling during the morning hours for breakfast. The staff here are very nice, with one even walking around singing. It was a very pleasant atmosphere! Ordered this new California Benedict and then Vegan hash with a side of two eggs. Both dishes hit the spot for a hearty breakfast meal!

Great little stop for a light breakfast. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Their coffee is really good although we had a hard time getting refills as they were busy. The menu had a bit of everything. My bagel was hot and toasted perfectly.

Two of us came in for breakfast to end a weekend of naughty eating so how better than to top it off with a naughty full breakfast I ordered the three-eggs (poached), corn beef hash, hashbrowns, toast and black coffee. The food and service were all good and I would certainly come back. We wish they had a two-egg option on the menu and we didn't ask.

Bright, modern, high ceilinged, restaurant that is uniquely different from most places In Niagara-On-The-Lake meaning most of the other places have a worn, old school feel while this is bright and hopping. Not bad, not good, just different in ambiance. Known for their three egg breakfasts.. two of us had corned beef hash with three eggs, other had blueberry pancakes (my homemade is better but I'm not at home) and my better half had the poutine fries (very good and really fattening). All of the breakfasts were good but not knock your socks off. Plenty of food though. Stuffed for walking slowly up and down the street...

We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. Parking in NOTL always a bit of a challenge especially if you don't want to pay! Wife enjoyed her 1+1 - 2 different fish filets with chips. I had the Irish Experience of three different meat pies. Each did have a unique taste. A filling and interesting dish. Murphy's stout on tap was Devine. Wife found her NA Moscow mule good but, given no alcohol, she felt the serving volume was low. Less than $100 CA all-in seemed reasonable for a fairly authentic Irish meal.

They have a patio that's heated so you can comfortably eat on the patio. It's nice. Walk in to the main building and there is a long bar you can sit at or tables on the side and in a back room. Nice layout. Our server was great. Lots of fun. He didn't write anything down and got it all right. I asked him for a recommendation on an app cuz I wasn't that hungry. He said the feta burchetta. It comes in 4 huge pieces. More than enough to share. Piled high with tomatoes, cheese, onions, and you add your own olive oil and balsamic. It was very good. I ate 2. With a fork cuz it's big and awkward. Everyone else got different things 2 cheese burgers. Both said they were good and a nice chargrilled taste. Mussels and that was a good plateful. And the gyro sandwich. And that had 2 thumbs up. Oh and the French fries are really good. I stole a few. Crispy and soft in the middle. We weren't rushed we sat and talked and had a nice time. Prices were fairly reasonable. Our bill with tip and drinks was around $77 Canadian. So I but that really in the $60 range. I thought the apps were a bit expensive but as mentioned the portion was huge. So you gotta weight that. I'd definitely recommend.
