The saltiest Italian wedding soup
Leah C.

We arrived very excited to try the famous Flying Saucer restaurant and were told that the wait would be around 20 minutes, we were given a buzzer. There's also a sign that says that wait times can't be guaranteed, so when our wait time exceeded 20 minutes, we just continued to wait as everyone around us has their buzzers go off and excitedly walked in. At around the 40 minute point I asked for an update, they claim they tried to buzz us :|apparently our buzzer was broken. Since that table and others were given to groups who arrived after us, the only available table was one of the few near the entrance where there are no decorations and you might as well be in any hole in the wall diner. After that long unnecessary wait, to see how cool the inside looked but be left to sit by the entrance was a huge disappointment. We ordered, and by that time I had a headache and lost my appetite so I just ordered a soup. Couldn't get past a few bites, I've never had a soup that salty. Other dishes on the table including pancakes (served with "pancake syrup", a disappointment considering we're in Canada..), a turkey club w/ fries, and wings were all fine but nothing special.

You got to love the '50s retro sign!

You know, sometimes you just want to have a breakfast that's out of this world. Okay, that was a pretty cheesy starting line but it's fitting for this restaurant that I stumbled across by accident when I was in Niagara falls Canada. To be honest, I didn't even know I wanted to go there as I drove by it several times and thought okay. This place has to be a gimmick. With its it's '50s retro sign, and saucer shaped building. But I thought what the heck, when in Canada you have to go board a spaceship. First off, I have to compliment the lady at the front desk. Very friendly. And helpful. All of the rumors you've heard about Canadians being nice are not rumors. True story. They sat me down and brought me some coffee. Checking out the menu, I decided on the E. T. Special, which was two eggs, two sausage links, two strips of bacon, four pieces of toast, home fries (which were actually cubed hash browns), and two pancakes. All for under $16 Canadian. Let me tell you it was a lot of food. This is obviously a very popular place as it did take a while for the food to arrive, but it was hot and delicious. They bring you an actual carafe of coffee, so you don't have to keep asking for refills, which was nice. The ambiance of the place is a lot of fun, definitely UFO themed, and overall it was just a great experience. If you're looking for breakfast, because this place fills up fast. Bottom line? If you're looking for a really fun breakfast experience, you can't do better than the flying saucer restaurant.

I came here under protest. It's a fun looking touristy spot. Lots of things to take pictures of and even some genuinely cool and fun merch. The staff is also some of the friendliest we experienced in Niagara Falls (though that's faint praise). The food left a lot to be desired. My burger was every single burger you've ever gotten in a high school cafeteria; spongy, inoffensive, adequate in every sense of the word. The fries were passable, and they served us a truly staggering amount of them. The long island iced tea we ordered was also... Ok. There's not much to say about it unfortunately, it's just so "meh" All that being said, it's definitely worth a stop for the decor and to pick up a T-shirt if nothing else. Oh, and it should be noted, there were large and very clean bathrooms, which I appreciated.

Unique Diner!!

I order the footlong hotdog with chili. It was delicious. Good place to eat a quick diner type meal.

The decor is super fun - love. Server was very friendly. Back bacon, cheese and mayo sandwich was tasty.

Here's a casual version you could use: --- Loved our visit to Stacked! The service was awesome and super friendly. I had the crepes and they were sooo good. Portions are huge, so it's perfect to share if you're not super hungry.

They have huge meal portions. We only had some coffee, maybe 20-30 minutes prior to coming, and we had trouble finishing our meal orders. We had an order for some half rack ribs and the triple patty burger meal. Both meals were delightful. With all the fries that came with the burger meal, the salad for the ribs, as well as the enormous portion of the ribs, it was quite a task to finish everything. I also particularly enjoyed the branding of the place. There are not really a lot of themed restaurants still available, but Flying Saucer proudly exists in that space. A section of the restaurant's layout is circular to resemble a flying saucer, and there are alien displays around inside the place. What my companion shared was that before, they even had some sort of themed paper placemats available with some games or activities to do. That was not present during the time I dined there. The service, for me personally, was not perfect. We had a guy server, and I did not particularly appreciate the style of hip service we received. To exaggerate a bit and better illustrate my point, I like the service where we as customers are treated like kings and queens instead of being treated like dudes or friends. That is just me personally. In the beginning, I found myself having to wait for some time to start ordering because the guy was walking around but not looking up at our general direction to be able to spot us. In the end, our server also tried upselling us some cheesecakes (from the Cheesecake Factory). He tried to upsell it maybe two times too many.

Come here for the experience, not the food. Interior is very cool with alien decor and windows. My food came out wrong and had to be sent back, Italian sausage was cold and tough. Everything else was exactly what you'd expect and tasted good. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Went to this interesting little themed diner with my friends! It's quite popular, so there was a line outside, but we got a booth within 30 minutes. It's alien themed, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for a tourist hotspot. I got the E.T. Special, and it was so much food! They did bring out the pancakes some time after bringing everything else though. The food was surprisingly good, the bacon crispy, the sausages tasty, the pancakes fluffy, and the home fries seasoned well. I asked for scrambled eggs, but they came out crumbly and difficult to spear.

Excellent service on day 1 by Jenna. Excellent service on day 2 by Angela. Phenomenal breakfast. I had the E.T.SPECIAL!! Both days! What a bargain price for 3 eggs, toast ,2 large pancakes, a ton of potatoes, 2 large bacon and 2 excellent sausage. Wife had Belgium waffles and loved them! Lots of good coffee. Great family venue!! Got to meet owner's wife , very friendly and I told her We appreciated great food at such reasonable prices. Place was packed but worth the wait of 5 to 10 minutes. Extremely friendly staff, clean restaurant and you think you're inside a dishes while in the restaurant. Amazing

My family and I all loved this restaurant!!! The one thing I wish they had were cheese curds, but the "poutine" was good with just shredded cheese also. The portions were very large, none of us could finish our entire meal. The service was excellent, very friendly and quick!!! I loved that she brought a to-go cup for my soda without me even asking!!! Very nice atmosphere!

Great food, good service and it was fast! Staff makes you feel welcome! My first time here and I will visit again when I come to Canada next year!

Great stop for lunch and just minutes from the Falls. The decor and theming was fun, including statues, themed drinks and meals, and great space decor. I had the Ruben which was great and didn't even need extra dressing. My son had the Buffalo chicken and cheddar sandwich, which he loved. So many options sure to fill you up. Service was great as well.

We were seated after a few minutes at a table in the corner, which had enough room for the four of us. I had settled on the Triple D breakfast, while my husband had settled on the eggs benedict, and my kids the French toast bites and kids egg breakfast. Overall, the food was well-portioned, and cooked well. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and that the chef took his/her time to cook the meal, as the eggs were cooked completely through. Considering the prices that we had paid, we were stuffed, and didn't have to eat until later on in the evening. The food did take long though, and we had to wait in-line for a bit to pay for the bill. Service was good, as the waitress came to check on us a few times during our meal. Overall, a great place to start the day!

For drinks, my wife and I each grabbed a bottle of Rickard's. They serve it in a frosted glass which is a nice touch, but... the price was pretty wild. Paying around $9-$11 for a bottle/can felt a bit excessive. We started with the Broccoli Cheese Poppers, which we've ordered at other spots before since they're usually vegetarian-friendly (my wife is pescatarian). I thought they were really tasty, but unfortunately my wife had almost finished one before realizing there was bacon inside...and it wasn't listed on the menu. When we asked to confirm, it was pretty disappointing. She was understandably upset, especially since she's been pescatarian for over 10 years. It would've gone a long way if they at least took it off the bill, but they didn't, and that definitely hurt the overall experience. For mains, I ordered JJ's Meatloaf; really solid dish. The mashed potatoes were a highlight, veggies were cooked nicely, and everything had great flavour. Only downside was the bun that came with it got pretty soggy. My wife ordered the Grilled Fish Panini; she liked it, not amazing, but good. The fish was fresh and flaky, and the bread had a nice garlic bread vibe. Overall, it's a decent spot with good food and a nice setting, but the beer prices and the issue with the unlisted bacon definitely took away from the experience. Driving down a gravel pathway through the property to get to a mostly unmarked black building. There was an unmarked door that blended into the side of the building with a welcome sign sticking out. The ambience of the dining room was very minimalistic yet rustic and warm. Perfectly designed to look out of the window to the rest of the property. Our waiter alex along with the rest of the well equipped and knowledgeable staff were excellent at guiding us through the meticulously crafted 10 course meal. We added the cheese course in between main course and desserts, fabulous addition. Honestly too many great things to list. From Lobster from Nova Scotia to hearty sourdough baked right down the street, to marinated raspberries on top of a finely crafted dessert. On top of most everything locally grown. The amount of flavor we experienced was incredible. We opted out of doing the wine pairing and tried out a few of their cocktails instead - Manhattan, vesper martini, pineapple weed daiquiri - all fantastic. I will be dreaming about this for a while!
