the food was so fresh and light on the stomach! the service was so great, the waitress brony was so pleasant to talk to and she was quickly with our food! the environment is so cute and comfortable! i would totally recommend for a breakfast spot!!

This was the garden fresh skillet. It was very filling and rich. It contained goat cheese that took the flavor to another level.

As always, the breakfast was everything that I needed to be. This was a meatless dish. Eggs and veggies over potatoes.

This place was great, great coffee, great food. Even better service! Would 100% recommend First time in a long time I had to leave food on my plate because I was full! For reference I had 6 eggs, 2 toast, bacon sausage and ham with hash browns. Really great!

During Canada Day, Fort George has a BBQ (hamburgers and hotdogs), live music, canon performance and fireworks. This location is ideal if you want some freedom to rest / go elsewhere throughout the day. Only a 6 min walk or so from Fort George. Room: A bit dated but if you are just staying one night it's fine. I wasn't in the room much. However, traditional rooms face parking lot so I recommend asking for 3rd floor. It is a bit dark but more privacy on a higher floor. Also I think room could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust collected by the windows. Service: Staff at hotel are quite nice and during Canada Day, they served sangria in the lobby and had some cute Canada Day sparklers, stickers, a small candy bar, etc. They also text you asking if you need anything and rate your experience with them. Amenities: On the Basement level, open 7:00am-10:30pm there is an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and gym available. By the elevators they also provided a tea/coffee bar. I went right at 7am and no one was there, nice and quiet so you have it to yourself. Another service they have is a shuttle. You can request it to take you to fort york, into the town, and other areas but it's close to a lot of places so we never ended up using this service. Overall, not a bad stay and I wouldn't mind coming back if this location was near some activities I wanted to check out like Canada Day. If just coming for a regular stay/ anniversary/ celebration - I would lean towards like deluxe rooms and above. For instance, deluxe rooms face the marina with lots of sun but only has king beds.

Great food, but the service will make you feel like you're a burden…read more I tried the Pork Belly Benny and Barbacoa Skillet, with a slight preference for the latter as the Benny was a tad too sweet from the cornbread. Both dishes were interesting and inventive, though. Unfortunately, the server wasn't great. She felt very cold throughout. She handed me a water with a speck of what seemed to be fibres from a sponge (see pic) - no big deal but rather than act on my request for a new water, she took her time, even making a couple trips to neighbouring tables to clean them. And after asking for a box to pack our extra food, she literally just walked away without saying anything - at least she ended up bringing a box, I guess?

The wait staff and chef were not only friendly and accommodating, but more than happy to give great recommendations for the rest of our day checking out wineries! They have gluten free bread options. The food was all extremely fresh, well thought out, well executed, and flavorful. The breading on the fried chicken was light and crisp, while the chicken itself was extremely juicy with the right amount of seasoning. The smoked salmon bennie had amazing salmon, perfect thickness of the english muffin, and fantastic flavor. I can't wait to stop back in the next time I am in the area.

Other treatments like massage, facial, manicure and pedicure were also available for extra. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The priority access to hot spring pool goes to hotel guests, but we didn't have any problems booking it during the day. We also enjoyed hot spring pool under the rain; pretty romantic, eh? There's tea and coffee available in the lounge and you can buy food and drinks from the bar to enjoy. Drinks are allowed in the pool area, except no glassware is allowed. You'll be provided with a robe and flip flops (if you forget your slippers), but you have to bring your own swimsuit. There are towels available everywhere, and you can use them. I stayed for one night and I really enjoyed myself. i joined the trolley wine tour and our guide was really friendly. My partner really liked it because he didn't have to be a designated driver. My friend gave me face masks so we threw on some robes and got to relax.
