Sunday pop in for a light bite and lattes. My dirty Chai tea latte was a blend of both spicy and sweet Chai mix and was perfection for this crispy autumn afternoon. The warm spinach goat cheese brioche hit the spot, perfect amount of savory. We also got an egg, sausage and cheddar hot sandwich on fluffy brioche, exactly the small bite we were looking for! The baristas were super helpful and sweet when helping us decide what to order, and both indoor and outdoor seating areas were clean. Will definitely be back!

Sweet Spot To Grab That Coffee Before Hitting The Edmonds Ferry SITREP My buddy Jenner and I were on our to hit the ferry, but we were looking for some caffeinated refreshment and saw this spot just kitty-corner to the ferry-building. Definitely worthwhile to investigate, right? THE SETUP Waterfront Coffee Company ("Waterfront") is a charming independent coffee shop that provides a wide array of caffeinated beverages and some sweet and savory treats. Reasonably priced, the coffee is hearty and does the trick of giving me that caffeinated kick. And the pastry treats are definitely worth going for: the scone was totally yummy! THE LOWDOWN Stop for your coffee and treats here before you get on the ferry. There is not much offered on the ferry itself, so make sure you stock up here first.

Sancho and Quijote are two local brothers who visit the Warerfront cafe for their pup cups. So spoiled, so loved.

The waterfront cafe is my favorite place to grab coffee and a pastry in Edmonds. I go on walks with my dogs and make sure to stop by and even my dogs know that it is a place to stop at. Thank you Waterfront cafe for so many good memories.

Okay. Coffee is about community. This place has two legged and four legged communities. Depend on your direction in the ferry line, this is the first or the last chance coffee meters from the loading dock to or from Edmonds. This narrow coffee shop also serves light breakfasts and modest lunches. The coffee is fine. I had a Mocha. The price is typical. The service was good. The barista was kinda. There isn't a lot of seating inside. But it seems as though this is a walk in order and take and talk joint. Yet, the patrons inside seemed like locals, as they relaxed in front of a wall of puppy Polaroid snap shots-- hence the four-legged community. You can't go wrong here. There are probably 12 coffee shops in the bowl not named Starbucks. Try anyone of them for the true flavor of Edmonds. You can't go wrong here.

Coffee and ice cream detour prior to boarding the Ferry. Stopped here as it was a bit hot and a nice cold drink sounded pleasant. Moderately busy. Small space but the ambience was great and inviting. Staff was knowledgeable and efficient. WiFi offered for those seeking a longer stay while sipping on coffee. Minutes away from park and beach. Beautiful views!

Love their lattes! They're super creamy/frothy. The interior of this cafe is tiny but there's probably 5 or 6 tables inside, plus a few outside. We will definitely come back!

This meal was a maple bar and a Mango, lemonade, smoothie

In long My little coffee side trips in this neighborhood will continue for a while. I'm now regularly in Edmonds with just enough time to grab a cup. This is the first sit-down place I've hit. I had just enough time to get something to go. It's a modest older building a couple blocks away from the main drag, and in Edmonds, a couple blocks is all you need for serious peace and quiet. On a Monday afternoon, there wasn't even much vehicle traffic on the road outside, but the locals were out in force--couples, groups, everybody cheerful. All ages. There are maybe 20 seats in here, with that many more outside. First thing you see when you walk in is the little farmer's-market type merch display that some local independent coffee shops often seem to have. Stickers, mugs, hats. I am anti-clutter overall, but still a sucker for stickers and mugs, and almost bought some stuff here. The kids behind the counter are super nice, super upbeat without being overcaffeinated. Very warm and genuine. My sister and I took our time puzzling through exactly what we wanted and the dude was smiling the whole time, got the order down perfectly. Couple minutes later it was ready. The drip coffee was fantastic, really hit the spot for my sis. It was late in the day so I got a heavily modified cup of tea (bergamot with lavender, something else, and almond milk). I've never had tea any way but black, ever, and this was delicious. I've never had tea with a cute name, either--"Edmonds Fog"--but that just made it easier to order. We were out the door with that and a really tasty jam biscuit for under $15. When I have time to park and go in to order, this place will be tough to beat for sure.

I ordered my usual Mocha Breve, and the coffee was surprisingly good - great flavor and just the right temperature. But let's chat about the service... As some reviews suggested, the service was a major letdown! The front servers seemed more annoyed than a cat in a bath. I asked for a bagel on the side, and both servers were less than thrilled to help me or even mention that I had to toast it myself! Apparently, there's a DIY toasting station for your pastries. The kicker? I ended up tipping 15% even though I did pretty much all the work - toasting the bagel and spreading the cream cheese. Which btw the bread even toasted is hard as a rock! It's a local joint, and the lady next to me clearly a local , was practically tapping her foot, trying to rush me as I waited for the cashier to make sure she's ready to take my order. Would I recommend this place? You might have a different experience so go. Am I gonna do a drive to comeback probably not. Don't believe the hype.

Pretty impressive actually. I had driven by this spot many times this past year, usually hitting up other indie cafes in Edmonds. Featured beans were from Camber, roasted up in Bellingham. Spot on mocha. Glad I detoured and stayed awhile after the pop up. Even caught up briefly with another Yelp Elite/All Star/IGer. Adding this to my Edmonds rotation. Recommended!

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with cozy vibes. They have a lot of different coffee and pastries. We got a variety of pastries to try. The other pastries we had was raspberry croissant, and a muffin, all tasted pretty good. I think all their pastries are fresh, delicious, and not that sweet compared to other bakeries. I highly recommend getting their cinnamon roll. This cafe is perfect for the all seasons especially summer if you want to sit outside and enjoy the view of downtown Edmonds. After two days of staying in due to the stormy weather, I decided to venture out and try some place new. I snagged a 3 hour parking slot, yay! The cafe is in a shared building with six other businesses. Pleasant interior with natural light, mellow overhead music, various seating with 2 & 3 tops, communal seating by a fireplace, and group seating off to the side that can be reserved. It is currently decorated for the holidays, but also featured work from local artists. First visit & first meal of the day coming up on 1pm, I opted for a grande mocha and a 4 inch proscuitto sandwich. The overhead menu and display cases have a nice variety. Pastries are from Macrina and coffee roasts are from Caffe Umbria. Their espresso beverages are very generous. The grande mocha was served in a huge mug, reminiscent of a souffle ramekin. Well crafted too. I enjoyed the 4 inch proscuitto sandwich. Perfectly sized and sliced, not too big, not too small, Goldilocks just right. Served warm with proscuitto, melty cheese, pesto spread, spinach, and basil in a soft, square roll. Most of the folks onsite are having active convos or business type meetups, only two on laptops. And one doing a Yelp post, lol. After being onsite for 2.5 hours on a weekday early afternoon, seems to be an older demographic that visits here. Clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I felt like I had to guzzle a gallon of water after eating a couple of bites. The cream itself is much less sweet than the icing and is smooth and custardy. Unfortunately it isn't centered at all in the donut, with one half entirely missing the cream pocket. The donut itself is a yeast donut, but I feel like the dough compresses quite a bit, making the donut very dense for a yeast donut. It's hard to tell due to how cloyingly sweet is is, although it doesn't quite reach the levels of the Bavarian Cream. Since the bottom half is bare and unglazed, it tastes like fried dough, giving some respite from the sweetness. (3/5) The quality feels a bit higher than the typical classic donut shop that uses premix, but I guess I've outgrown these extremely saccharine sweet desserts. I much prefer the places that have a much more balanced sweetness.
