Pretty cool find if you are ever in the neighborhood!…read more Mountlake Terrace is not a place I frequently visit, but I did because of the convenience with the light rail - it's about a 9-minute walk from the light rail station. The interior has a warm and cozy vibe; I also dig the lighting. There's a good amount and variety of seating. They don't have outlets on the floor at the benches in the center, but there are a few outlets on the walls, so if you need to charge your devices I recommend sitting at the chairs next to the treasure chest (where I'm writing this review lol). Space seems very dog friendly, and there are 2 tables outside where the fur baby pawrents would typically sit with their fur babies. I also saw dog treats at the cashier that dog owners are free to take. I guess if you wanted to eat them you could, but I would judge you. For my drink, I got the Woodsman - opted for iced, large size, and whole milk. The drink was very chai spice-forward, which I loved. The staff member who took my order asked for my name, and later on when I went up to inquire the WiFi password, he addressed me by name - impressive. The owner (?), Heather, also thanked me for coming here after I picked up my drink. Needless to say, super friendly people. I didn't get a pastry or sandwich, but that's the goal for my next visit!

Given this I cannot accurately rate the Woodsman as I got it with almond milk and wasn't a fan. My husband is also in the same boat as me with regards to milk. Please consider adding at least a 2% although skim would be amazing. If you like whole milk/alternatives please give this place a shot!

The croissants, pain au chocolat, brioches, and pâte à choux were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We arrived right when they opened, and by 8:15 a.m., customers were already steadily coming in. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality French pastries, this is definitely the place to go.

Pricing was what has become typical crazy - $15 for two fairly simple coffee drinks. That's pretty much what's out there these days, but it felt like the value wasn't great. I now expect to pay $15 for two coffee drinks in most places, but for that money, I expect either the atmosphere, the service, or the drinks to pull extra weight. At least do as well as Starbucks does - and that's not saying much. I wouldn't argue with someone giving four stars (personal taste), but you'd have to have an awesome experience, well above and beyond what I experienced, to warrant five stars by me. That's just me, perhaps - but, there you have it.
