Unfortunately, the matcha was very grainy at the top of the cup mixed into the foam. After drinking the top layer it was smoother but not much matcha flavor, mostly just a milky taste. The coffee was better. Would recommend for more of a cafe/working spot as there are lots of cozy tables and spaces to work/study. It's a nice inviting space with fun fox paintings and decor. The cafe has a rustic and cozy ambiance that feels warm and inviting. They serve Fulcrum Coffee; while I'm usually not a fan of their coffee from the main cafe in SLU, it somehow tasted better here. I've been here 3 times now and each time I've been here they are out of MOST of the items on their menu. Today it was all their breakfast sandwiches at 11:00 am. They only offer breakfast sandwiches and biscuits and gravy. When I asked him for salt he said "we don't have salt" I said "do you have any behind the bar?" he said "I have some in the back but I'll have to go get it" as if I was inconveniencing him to grab something unheard of. Same when I asked for napkins bc they were out of napkins on the bar and red hot sauce bc they only had green. They no longer carry the pickled eggs which was the only good thing I ever had on their menu and the manager (I'm assuming that's who he is) while not "mean," just seemed to give off this "you're severely inconveniencing me" energy when asking for the basics. I'm actually shocked they are still open to be honest. The coffee is horrible here - if you want good coffee drive 2 mins down the road to Diva in Kenmore. Thank me later. read more

We love Vulpine Taproom but hadn't been back in about a year, so seeing The Burrow next door, we had to come in! We arrived at 8:30am on a Friday and walked right up to the register. One person was working, so we waited a short time while they made a couple drinks before taking our orders. The matcha with one cold foam was the best one my partner has had on his hunt for the perfect matcha (he's had ~10 at this point). My green tea chai was also yummy. We ordered biscuit sandwiches and enjoyed those as well. We stuck around and worked for a couple hours; there were a few outlets to use throughout the cafe. The Burrow vibe is just as nice as the taproom one. The busiest the line got was around 5 people, and by that time there were two people working behind the counter. read more

I have been here twice, and always enjoy the coffee and ambiance. They are typically out of some items but recommend reviewing their seasonal options for drinks. Ordered the shakshuka this time and found it to be underwhelming. They are creative with how they use their kitchen appliances to offer savory dishes, but the eggs were overcooked and the tomato base was lacking spice and was more of a ragu taste to it. The Juniper Solstice Latte was the best drink I have had in 2026, and is in the top five of latte flavors I have ever had. read more

Very cute cafe in Lake Forest Park. Friendly staff and clean inside. There are a lot of seating indoors and some outside as well. There's plenty of free parking too in the shopping center. I wanted to love this place since it's near my hood and got such great reviews. The food looks pretty but taste of things are off. The quality of the pastry and the Bostock was meh. Not much flavor or not great texture. As the service was forgettable. It's order at the counter like a coffee place. My friend ordered after me but got his drink first so I asked about mine. They forgot my order. We got our food and I realized they forgot the Bostock. Got the cold brew and it was not good. Weird sour, acidic, fizzy taste. I took it back and they said it was nitro is why. I've had nitro cold brew before and it's usually smooth, deep and good. I got a cortada instead and again their coffee has weird sour, bad undertones. I didn't drink it after few sips. Mushroom biscuits and gravy flavor was good. My friend shasuka was not great because they don't have a kitchen but works heats and cooks things in piece meal equipment, he said the eggs was strange. Not fully baked and integrated into the tomatoey sauce. Sorry won't be back. read more

Thank you fellow Yelpers for putting The Burrow on my radar screen! After a car appointment this morning, I decided to check it out (1/30/25). The Burrow is located at The Town Center at Lake Forest Park, adjacent to Vulpine Taproom (21+), and proximate to Lake Forest Bar & Grill. I add this because my gps had me on a crazy route. Duh, I'm here often enough due to Third Place Books! Anyways, this is a definite find. Pleasant overhead music, eye catching mural and art work throughout, and handcrafted tables and chairs. There are various comfy seating areas. Transforming this spot after the previous business left definitely created an inviting, welcoming destination. Clearly a neighborhood spot for meetups with lively convos, plus room for the laptop crowd, a place to read/write, and folks like me who just spontaneously drop by. Tasty 16oz mocha and orange cardamon slice from The Cottage, Community Bakery! Note: *Business hours Thurs/Fri 8am-3pm, Sat/Sun 9am-3pm. *Cafe food items served until 2pm. *The adjacent Vulpine Taproom (21+) opens at 3pm. Very limited food menu, but the avocado toast was good. Didn't take too long to come out. I was expecting way more based on other reviews. If you are looking for breakfast, I hope you like one of the 5-6 options they have. Their coffee menu was good, but I was hoping for food, so I was definitely disappointed. What a sweet coffee shop! Oddly...connected to a bar. But the atmosphere is chill, with fun art and gorgeous "driftwood" tables, with a running theme of foxes and nature. They have a great selection of tea, coffee, espresso drinks, and food (ranging from pastries to lunch stuff). Plus stickers and pins. The entire vibe is warm and cozy, but with plenty of semi-private-feeling tables for small groups. The service here is always top-notch: warm, helpful, knowledgeable, and low-key. And though I've never been here when it's less than 3/4 full, it never, ever feels busy. This is a regular stop whenever I'm on the West side of the Cascades, and perfectly captures the welcoming neighborhood vibe of LFP. read more

I ordered "The Classic" egg sandwich (with bacon) and iced mocha. It was absolutely fantastic! The ingredients taste fresh and well curated--I could tell somebody(s) cared enough to sit down to taste everything. The mocha was delicious. To be honest, I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee flavor is unique and apparent, without being bitter. It's lightly on the sweeter side compared to other mochas I've had, it's how I personally like it. Not a ton of food options, but I'll take quality over quantity. When I have a hankering for good B&G, at an extremely affordable price, the Burrow is on my short list. Portions are generous, temp is great, and the flavors are well balanced. All of the staff are incredibly kind and prompt. I don't give out 5 stars often because I feel it cheapens the rating, so a place has to really knock my socks off to earn one. To move this to a 5 star (and I'm being VERY picky), I'd like menus that are easier to read (they are fun and artistic but not understandable at a cursory glance for my older eyes) and larger coffee size options. read more

Love the burrow! The biscuits and gravy is amazing, the coffees are unique and delicious. They have an amazing staff that remembers your name. Our kids love ordering the hot chocolates here with the 'coffee art' fox drawn on the foam. Bran new in Lake Forest Park. seating is abundant and comfortable. they have a big table for large parties, a set of comfy seats for the readers/laptop workers, and really cute decor including a big tree and a mural of a fox, and some wall art. Their pour-over coffee and cold brew is made with a very good quality roast and they have a variety of flavor profiles for coffee connosuers. One of their custom drinks is the fennec sunrise, which is a latte with lemon, tumeric, and cayanne, which very much compliments the espresso without being oppressively sweet- this one's amazing and i haven't found anything similar around here. a cute little robot makes the pourover helping wait times. The service is quick and polite and they've created an environment that's safe for families, all people, LGTBQ, and game-players. A good place to hang out and stay a while! read more

First time coming to this newly opened coffee shop not knowing it was the "sister" to the Vulpine public house and that was awesome news. However, I was a little disappointed with the food--an egg and cheese sandwich. The egg was just "plopped" on top of a very thick biscuit that had very little cheese and was room temperature, that's a no-no for me. The service was relaxed enough to where I had to repeat my order but she got it the second time. Had a pour over coffee. That was delicious. Highly enjoyed. The ambiance was inviting as they have many pictures, stickers and an entire wall of a beautifully painted mural of a fox, and nicely situated seating. Only criticism was being paying over $20 bucks for mediocre food but excellent coffee. read more

Just a really nice cafe! Including myself, some folks and family peeked their head in curiosity and ordered. Feels like a great third place within the community. There's art on the wall from a local artist, vinyl nights, and I saw some board games on tables. It's pet friendly. There's even seltzer water next to the water station :) Check out the calendar for more future events. Definitely going to check out the taproom next time. Apparently drinks there rotate (non alcoholic options available) and food menu changes seasonally. So glad this place opened for the mornings! read more
