Consistent quality, fast service, low prices. It really doesn't get better than this.

The outside is a little old and the restaurant is a bit hidden away in the back, but the inside has been kept relatively clean. I also found the servers to be extremely friendly and welcoming. This is a diner in all the traditional senses. I came here for a good 'ol fashioned bacon, sausage, and egg breakfast and that's what I got. I got a great deal on it as I came before 10am and they had a special. Even with the deal, I found the menu prices to be very reasonable. The food is exactly what you would expect from a diner such as this. But what was a little surprising was that it wasn't super greasy. The bacon and sausage were well cooked and my over-medium eggs were just right. The flavors weren't upscale in any sense, but they do the job for what it is. If you're looking for a very traditional American diner experience that doesn't break the bank, you can't do much better than Eppies.

Our waiter was kind and patient and she was also the only waiter ! Eppie's is a family-owned restaurant that's been around for over 40 years, which is actually so sweet they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day and the portions are super generous! if you love supporting small, local businesses, please come show this spot some love

An institution in West Sacramento. They have been here for ages. I've been here twice before. Once…read morefor breakfast with my husband and another time with my girlfriends. They are open from 6:30am - 2:30pm depending on the day. They are always bustling. You can park in-front or they have a private lot so you can also park in back. Parking can be tight sometimes and the spaces could be larger. Today I was meeting my girlfriends for lunch. Our date was for 12:30pm. Some people arrived early and got us a table. I could have been one of those early birds, but I was outside checking in and taking a picture of the iconic sign. I'm sorry that was all the pictures I took, I was too busy gabbing with my friends to capture the moment on film. Amazingly there were 10 of us. We had to pull over a 2nd table. Thankfully there was another table to pull over as 4 people arrived a little later than the rest of us. The place was bustling with patron, but there was still room for our large group. Service was great. Soon as we arrived they took our drink orders, gave us our menus and let us settle in. Then they came around a 2nd and then a 3rd time as we arrived in waves. Yes, I gave a large tip for all their extra service. They even let us divide up the tabs so there was 1-2 people on each tab. Their new mini computer makes it easier for them to do separate checks. I think that is one of the main reasons we come here as they let us do separate checks. I had the Cobb salad and it was phenomenal. They have the option of getting a half salad but, it's only a dollar or so less so I got the full salad and had leftovers. I love their cobb salad, this is my 2nd I got it at my First Ladies lunch. Why is it so good you may ask. Everything is in large chucks. The chicken is pieces of real grilled chicken, not tiny cubes, but large pieces, the bacon also comes in large pieces and there is plenty of bacon, eggs are in quarters, the avocado is in slices, then there are olives, I'm not sure why there are olives as I don't recall them on Cobb salads in other places, it's not a deal breaker as I do like olives, but I'm always surprised to see them. It also comes with blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese dressing and they give you a whole dish of dressing so you don't feel like you have to skimp. I am not a blue cheese fan so I asked for no crumbles and asked for ranch instead of blue cheese. The Ranch dressing is so good. My girlfriend loves the olives and ate those first.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs which was very filling and delicious. It came with a large fried steak, gravy, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and choice of potatoes (breakfast potatoes or hash browns); I ordered the breakfast potatoes. The portion was large and the steak was crispy and delicious! The gravy was a cream based gravy which complimented the steak, eggs, and potatoes well. The toast is standard sliced bread. The potatoes were flavored well and slightly crispy. Even though it was busy the employees were friendly and hospitable. The interior is old and outdated with a t-bar tile ceiling similar to an office with older carpet as this is an older establishment. There was a picture on the wall that read "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy".

I ordered the Carnitas Eggs Benedict. The portion size and appearance were very nice! The hollandaise sauce was spot on. I loved the tender carnitas added to this classic breakfast. Perfect! Best of all, the food was affordable and came out fast! I highly recommend this cafe if you are in the area!

Solid 5 for righteous meals at fair prices with good service and easy parking EVERY TIME WE VISIT…read more Is it fancy? Not a bit! Is it upscale? No way! Is it dependable for ordinary people who'd just like a nice meal out once in a while? Damn straight. I'm of the opinion that 5 stars are not just for the fancy schmancy places that serve $40/each entrees that don't even come with a starter or bread. Give me dependable, fresh, friendly, and accessible and I'm a returning customer once every few months when my budget allows or when I'm sorta flush and want to treat some pals but not go broke. Love that it's accessible, too. HUGE ADA restroom! Hubs and I have been here 3 times now and consistency is key: in service, in food, in vibe, and in feeling like our money's well spent and appreciated. Tonight I had the rib eye sandwich and hubs had the breakfast combo of biscuits and gravy with over-easy eggs and crispy bacon. That boy loves him some biscuits and gravy. He reports that the biscuits were hot and fluffy, the gravy was flavorful and the perfect consistencey, and I could see that his eggs were perfect. Crispy bacon FTW. Breakfast served all day is a HUGE plus to some friends of mine who work night shift, BTW. My rib eye steak was the perfect thickness for a sandwich and was done exactly as I requested. The soft and fluffy (yet solid) French roll was lightly toasted. Simple sandwich adornments of cool freshly sliced tomatoes and cool crispy iceberg lettuce - yay, none of that wilty stuff that pulls off with the first bite. Man, I love it when a restaurant stays in a solid dependable lane from visit to visit. Yup. 5 stars. So sorry no pics. We got all messed up with DST and it was almost 7pm before we pulled in for supper so we tucked into our food the second it was delivered.
