As far as fast mass produced Japanese food goes this has to be some of the best. The meal pots are great for eating on the go and are defiantly enough to fill your for most of the day. Full of flavour

The big cartons of Japanese soup (yakisoba?) are incredibly tasty and filling. One of my favourite foods-on-the-go.

The individually wrapped sushi pieces were frankly a bit off-putting.

I could have sworn I left a review of this place when we were here a year a go... but it is not here. We are going to be back in London in Feb and there are about 5 must do things when we get back... and this is one of them. A year ago we were wandering around this part of London... sort of lost. We know we wanted to have soup so we were stopping at every restaurant and reading the menus. It was a cold misty day so the day screamed SOUP. We were starting to think Londoners don't eat soup! We were about to give up because we had gone past most of the restaurants area when this place appeared. It was small and unassuming. There was a young happy (Portuguese ?) guy serving soup from about 8 or so big kettles of soup with fresh... and really good, bread. We had wandered in tired and wet and that soup was amazing. We had two different kinds (I forget which) and both were just great. It made the evening into something magical, and not dreary, cold, and wet. So we will always return to this place when we have the opportunity to come back to London.

We enjoyed our dishes very much!, the soups we tried were out of this world, we are from the US and…read moreback home you will find such quality only in 5 star and expensive places. This place is down to earth and the taste from another planet :)

As it was recommended for a good Japanese ramen place. I would say about half of the tables were full late Monday afternoon. Server comes to take order and got the food in timely manner, about 10 minutes?? Bao Bun - Price of £13.30 for two is too much. This is expensive. Bun was soft and warm, fried chicken inside was good, but it did not justify the price tag. Size could have been bigger or price needs to be cheaper than £13.30. If not for Bao Bun, I would have given five stars. Tonkotsu (The OG) - No complaints. £14.80 feels cheap compared to Bao Buns two for £13.30. Noodles were good, soup had rich flavor from the broth, menma was crunchy, boiled egg was just cooked to perfection, there were even garlic cloves and garlic press at each table to use! I felt like I was in Japan. Payment at the table. Ask for check and one of the staffs will bring the credit card machine for payment.

I'd say the vibe is hipster and definitely leans more touristy than authentic. I found the ramen to be plentiful. The noodles and egg were nice but the broth was flat. It was 26 usd for one bowl. We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.
