    Pork noodles.
    amy T.

10 on a Thursday night and we want ramen. He had the pork and I had the mushroom. We we seated across from the bathroom so it was weird with people coming and going. My mushroom ramen noodles were seriously undercooked and stuck together at the bottom of the bowl when served. I sent back when our server asked how things were. I was so hungry. He said he was in Japan last year and noodles are often served this way. When he brought the order back and cooked them more, they were good.

A great ramen location if you're looking for some freshly made ramen that will warm you up on a cold night. The aesthetics and the vibes were what stood out for me as they were playing classic and punk rock while dishing out hot bowls of noodles. There wasn't anything crazy special about the ramen, up to standard tonkatsu level expected of a restaurant. The best part of the experience is having classic ramen with classic rock songs. Definitely an experience worth trying if you're looking for a full package experience and a good bowl of noodles.

Given that this isn't the most traditional ramen stop you'll find in London, the taste may leave something to be desired for the OG ramen lovers out there. However, it also means you'll find more exciting flavor and ingredient combinations that you may not find in more popular places like Shoryu or Kanada-Ya. I primarily come back here for the chicken ramen - they offer fried, pulled, or mince - which feels a tad healthier than the typical pork belly ramen that seems to be the staple in most other places. The noodles all come with the same firmness, so if you like soft noodles, you're out of luck. The broth also tends to be saltier here, so that could also use some tweaking. The plus side is that they have extras like garlic and chili oil, all ready to go on your table, so you may find a flavor profile that you like if you play around with it a little bit. They also offer more veggie options than you'd find in other ramen shops, so it's a friendlier spot for the more diet-restricted in your group. The space is definitely funkier than your run-of-the-mill ramen restaurant, making it perfect for a dinner spot for before and after drinks when you have a group larger than 2 people. The service is friendly, as well, so there are definitely worse ways to spend your dinner money.

It's a nice little ramen shop with cool decor. It was a cold winter day and I was able to walk in in the afternoon and there was no wait. I was by myself and sat at a counter. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the char siu croquettes as an appetizer and chicken tantanmen ramen. The croquettes were delicious. The ramen was good, yet the broth came out lukewarm at first. I told the server and she had them heat it up so it was piping hot. I enjoyed the ramen, but I wish the broth was more savory and flavorful.

We had a long travel day and decided to try this spot out. We did have a reservation. The ambiance has a cool rock vibe and we appreciated the music as it was right up our alley. The service was great and they have great assortment of options. As a pescatarian I often have to go with their vegetarian or vegan option and sometimes they can lack flavor. I was pleasantly surprised as their broth was so rich and creamy. Definitely a place we will return to when in London!

Stopped by for dinner. The food was good and comforting. Ordered the pig bones, Korean wings, and tonkotsu ramen.

One of my favorite London stops! Bone Daddies is a trendy, modern ramen shop with a great vibe. There are usually no queues. The service is quick, and the servers are generally friendly and attentive. I ordered Chicken Wings and Bao Buns. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I usually come here with friends and share apps while getting ramen. If you want to customize the flavors, they have extras on the table, including garlic and chili oil.

I heard great things about Bone Daddies and was really excited to try their ramen...but was pretty disappointed in the taste and flavor. We ordered the T22 (most popular chicken broth ramen), Korean Army Stew Bowl, and Tantan Men. Bone Daddies does a very unconventional take on all of these, which makes sense I guess since the founder is Australian, but the combination didn't work well in my opinion. The best part about the T22 was the soft egg, but the ramen itself seemed a bit dry. The Korean Army Stew used crispy "tokyo ramen", but I think it would work much better with regular ramen. If you want more traditionally "good" ramen, I would go to Ippudo. However, the service here is very friendly and the environment is very relaxed. I still encourage people to give it a try, because I do know one person who raves about the food here.

I really enjoyed my ramen at bone daddies! The bone marrow was great. Loved the option to freshly press garlic into the broth. Genius!

Overall it was an ok take away ramen. I was hoping for something a little more flavor-wise, but it certainly wasn't bad. Maybe forgettable. It is great they have a few different veggie options so there is some choice if you're not into spice like I am.

Bone Daddies does an unconventional take on ramen - I think you'll either love it or hate it. I think I fall into the latter camp but would encourage people to give it a try and see how you feel. It's a small place with hipster waitstaff - but they're really really nice. No issues there. My husband had a ramen variant that came with a garlic soy that to my mouth, was unpleasantly bitter and overwhelming. I had a standard tonkotsu that was oddly sweet. Overall, not ramen I'd want to eat again.

Had a crave for something soupy so I had decided to search for food. Cut to the chase I was hungry so didn't want to wait for delivery. Staffs were very friendly and ushered me into the dining area. I had a choice of outdoors or indoors. Food served was hot and even the bowl was warm to keep the soup in the right temperature. Ramen was springy and tasty. If you like strong flavoured soup I'm sure you will love it. Meat was cooked to its best texture and delicious. I would strongly recommend to go and give it a try. I had ordered fried chicken too but I think it was just a little too salty for my taste buds.

    Tofu curry ramen

I took a picture of my ramen bowl because it was probably one of the best ramen bowls I ever had in my life. One of my friends really wanted to try this home in the wall place and I must say it did not disappoint. We went around 12 pm and it was not at all crowded. Upon entering we were greeted very pleasantly. Our friends also wanted sake shots (apparently an American thing) and they made that happen. They have so many options to choose from when it comes to ramen bowls. I got the tofu curry ramen. The broth is extremely flavorful but it could have been a bit more spicier for me. The price is also amazing for what you pay and I can't wait to be back again some day!

This sauce is the shiz-nit!!! Might just bathe in it!

I was lucky enough to, along with a colleague, be taken here on several occasions for a quick lunch by a client (indicative of how welcoming the Japanese are!) By 'genuine' I mean no dumbed-down menus, no super-slick interiors to detract from potentially average food, and no gimmicks of any kind. The place is staffed and run by Japanese nationals as any self-respecting Japanese restaurant should be - and perhaps more importantly, frequented by them regularly, too. Service is smiling and attentive and no more that it needs to be. The food is inexpensive (~£6-8 for a bento, £7-11 for ramen, udon or donburi) and so tasty. On my most recent trip I had beef ramen with tan tan (sesame paste) soup base, and my brother had salmon teriyaki on brown rice. Both dishes had generous proportions of meat/fish, and the donburi came with a side salad and pickles. The unagi (eel) is also lovely, and the place does an extensive line in pick-your-soup base noodle bowl dishes where you have the option of shoyu, miso, and sesame as mentioned above, among others. I can't speak for the takeaway bento, but they looked pretty solid and of a decent quality. Drinks come in the familiar (Coke etc) and the more, um, 'traditional' - aloe vera juice, Pocari, cold bottled green and black teas and others. This place is rather hidden away on the fringes of the City, behind Aldgate station on the Petticoat Lane side. In many ways it's a great location as it's very much a local haunt, and in others a little frustrating as even if you're working in the City it can be a fair walk to get there and back! My advice would also be to get there early (between midday and half-past) to ensure a seat, as well as before some of the more popular items on the menu disappear. In brief summary, I couldn't really recommend this place enough if you're in the area. You'll get multi-kudos from any friends Nippon friends (or appreciators of their incredible cuisine) and have a lunch to beat the hell out of an uninspired sandwich / soft-drink combo whilst spending a similarly scant amount of your hard-earned cash. As your fellow diners would say: "itedakimas!"
