Sad, broken, mushy, non-egg noodle "ramen"
    L. S.

The "ramen" made me so sad! These mushy, broken, pale noodles were not even actual egg noodles and the broth was mediocre at best. You cannot call this ramen! Please go find an actual ramen place if you want a decent bowl of ramen that doesn't disappoint

This place is a zero for me. We were seated promptly but it wasn't clear who would serve us. After a while, someone came and took our orders. The curried prawn dish came out quickly; however, it was tiny salad shrimp and a bed of rice with a few vegetables. My order never came out. We received the duck bao buns after the first entree came to the table. We took a food bites of the bao bun and it was uneventful. When we told the server we were waiting for the other entree, he said, it always comes out whenever it's ready. My order still didn't come after 15 minutes. My better half refused to start eating his entree without me having a meal. The server passed by and said "we are pushing the kitchen"-- passed by and never stopped. We asked for the manager and said we opted to leave because the service was not acceptable. The manager offered an explanation that they have a large kitchen and the food is prepared at different stations, so it comes out whenever it's ready. There was absolutely no coordination which is not in line with our experience as foodies and otherwise. We can't rate the food much because we didn't get to eat the entrees.

Was craving some ramen and looking for something quick, and this was the spot! So I only recently found out this was also in NYC, but this ramen place is based out of London! The ramen is very healthy and clean, and possibly the healthiest ramen I've had. It's a bit bland, but I still enjoyed it! Would come back again, and also interested in maybe trying their locations in NYC to see how it compares.

Wagamama is what's for dinner. I'm usually not muc of a fusion style dinner, but this just felt right tonight. I felt like some duck fried gyoza, tori Kara age, and pulled pork with panko apple buns. Washed it down with a blueberry spice juice. Ending the evening off with some Vietnamese coffee ice cream and a double shot of expression. I'm pretty satisfied with my choices. I would go again. The service was excellent and it was in a nice location too. Enjoy.

Well I've been hearing about Wagamama's for a long time and how good it was. Well it's hype lived up to it. Food was delicious. Someone order something by mistake so our waitress asked if we wanted it. All the food we had was good and even went back to one of their other locations a few night later.

Excellent service and great food. We were seated immediately and provided assistance with any of our food questions. Once we ordered our food we began receiving appetizers pretty quickly followed by food. The food was delicious and hot! Nice size portion for one person. The menu has great options to choose from.

I had previously had wagamama in New York. My brother and I were both ecstatic to come across it during our stay in London. We knew going in that the meals come out at separate times but after receiving my meal it took my brother over an hour to get his. Luckily our server was very courteous and brought us a round of drinks on the house and dessert was on the house. His customer service went above and beyond which saved our second experience at wagamama. The food was delicious. We ordered to start pork gyoza, I recommend getting them grilled. My main meal was the short rib ramen. The rib was so tender and the meat fell right off the short bone... mouth watering haha. Overall, I'd recommend the ramen it will come out the quickest.

Awesome table service Asian-fusion restaurant with a casual feel and plethora of locations! Their menu is large and offers many types of dishes for various taste palates and dietary needs (lots of gluten-free and vegan options!) The food is generously-portioned, well-priced, and tastes good! The staff is friendly and attentive, too. Great for eating in or take out.

On our way to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in Southwark, we chanced upon Wagamama. My friend had suggested this place to us, but we did not know if we were going to have the time to seek it out. So, we decided that this will be our post-theatre dining venue that evening since it is on the way back to the London Bridge tube station from The Globe Theatre. We started with the Chili Garlic Salt Edamame and the Pulled Pork Gyoza. The edamame was really good. The chili and salt gave it an extra kick of flavor. My husband and I both did not like the Pulled Pork Gyoza however. Too sweet! Both the filling and the sauce were sweet, so that taste overpowered everything else. You need to balance out that sweetness with some extra acidity. Maybe more vinegar in the sauce? It was disappointing not to see tonkotsu listed on the ramen part of the menu, but I thought I'd try the ramen anyway. They only serve miso based soups. I settled for the Wagamama ramen which seemed to have everything under the sun in it. It had chicken, pork, clams, mussels, shrimp and a tea stained egg. The egg yolk was overdone and the broth was just okay. The chicken was tasteless, and the other stuff in it, again, just okay. I would not recommend this dish. Try maybe one of the curries or the Yaki Udon. My husband had the Yaki Udon dish and it was good. It had a nice flavor and the thick noodles made the dish filling enough. However, it's not a very generous amount, so if you are hungry, don't share it with others. Service was good and our food came out in a timely manner. Note that the service charge is not included in the check, so you will have to add a 12% tip.

Katsu, Iki beer, super green juice...

Great location, became ridiculously busy whilst we ate, so be early if it's for lunch. Chicken katsu (as expected), pickles, iki beer, gyoza and raw salad, super green juice. All very good and arrived quite quickly, even if not all together!

Slightly inauspicious street name aside, Wagamama's on Clink Street near London Bridge tube station is a beautifully located branch of this Asian chain housed beneath the railway arches just next to Nando's. If I'm honest, the last time I visited Wagamama's I was unceremoniously drunk and in need of some carbs. Pronto. The service was charming and fast and the food great. Just what you need when inebriated. A friend and I ordered the yummy Gyoza dumplings to start which pack a punch and are great to share with friends; and then the Ginger Chicken Udon which arrived in about five minutes flat, was ridiculously tasty and came in super generous portions. All in all a fabulous place for a quick, healthy meal which will set you back about a tenner a head in a picturesque location just near the South Bank.

The staff were kind and friendly, the food was absolutely exquisite, and their drinks were lovely. For my visit, I had the chicken ramen and traditional sake. I would definitely recommend this place to those who like Japanese cuisine and are looking for a nice place to eat.

Duck & Rice, Soho, London, England -- April 5…read more Our family of four with two kids ages 9 and 10 made our way to Duck & Rice after walking through the Chinatown area, which was absolutely packed and fun to explore, and we were looking for something lively with shareable dishes, and the overall experience felt energetic with some real highs and a few misses. Arrival and First Impressions The space has a strong personality with a mix of pub and restaurant energy and it felt busy from the moment we walked in, matching the chaos outside in Soho, but still relatively well controlled with a steady flow of service and a constant buzz that made it feel like a place always in motion. The Highlights Food came out quickly and leaned into that comfort style Chinese menu with a mix of dumplings and larger plates, and the soup dumplings were the clear favorite for the table with both kids fully on board which is always a win. The crispy duck with pancakes was also solid and more in line with what we expected, and overall the variety kept everyone engaged even if the kids stayed mostly in their comfort zone. The Challenges Portion sizes were a bit tricky for a family of four with several dishes coming in sets of three which meant ordering extra just to share evenly, and a few items missed the mark including shu mai that felt a bit dry. The duck and rice being served closer to room temperature was intentional to keep it tender but still felt a little off from expectation, and surprisingly there were no chili oil or similar condiments for the dumplings which would have helped quite a bit. The overall noise and energy level can also be a lot after a full day out. Final Thoughts This is a lively spot that fits right into the Soho and Chinatown energy and works well if you are looking for a fun fast paced meal with shareable dishes, but it is not without a few quirks and inconsistencies. We are glad we tried it and there are definitely things worth ordering, but with so many strong options nearby we would probably explore elsewhere next time, making it worth it for the experience but not a must return.

Everything was so delicious, and there were several other dishes I would have loved to have tried. I wish I had taken pictures of more dishes, but they all looked so good that we all just dug right in! Our server highly recommended the shrimp bean curd dish, and I am so glad she did. That's not something I would've ordered on my own, but my husband & I agreed it was our favorite dish of the night. My daughter's favorite (and my 2nd favorite) was the wagyu beef puff. I also loved everything in the steamed dim sum platter. The only thing that was mildly disappointing was the softshell crab. Softshell crab is usually one of my favorites, but it was just sort of bland. But overall the food was amazing. I just wanted to keep trying more & more things, even though I was stuffed! And the service was incredible -- really could not have been better. As a wine nerd, I have to say I don't love their wine service. You can't order a full bottle, only 500 ml or less, which means you're never presented with the bottle, so (in theory) you're never really sure you're actually getting what you ordered or getting a bottle that wasn't opened days ago. That being said, I have no doubt that the wines we were served were correct and relatively freshly opened, but I still would've appreciated proper bottle service. (On the other hand, being forced to buy only 500 ml at a time meant we could try two wines instead of sticking with just one bottle.) The ambiance was lovely -- spacious, sleek, classy, modern, with gigantic aquariums. This restaurant will be at the top of my list to revisit next time I'm in London!
