Yaki Udon with Chicken, Yaki Soba
Emily L.

Plenty of tables inside, so there was no wait around lunch. Service was decent and they were very accommodating for allergies. Not the best Asian food I've ever had, but the Yaki Udon was flavorful with curry and had a variety of vegetables. Portions were pretty large and the menu had lots of different options, like ramen, rice bowls, and fried noodle dishes.

Tantanmen Beef Brisket

A pleasant surprise Having lunch at Wagamama was a pleasant surprise. I expected to find more touristy food as we were tourists in a tourist area, but instead I got to enjoy some great ramen. I got their Tantanmen Beef Brisket and it was visually beautiful, a large hot bowl of noodles, broth, and other ingredients circling around on top. With my chopsticks and that oddly shaped spoon, I went to work until I reached the bottom of the bowl. The food had arrived quickly, in about 10 minutes. We were on a tight schedule, a lunch break between tours, and had let our server know. I assume this is common at this location and they got us in and out with time to spare. I did have a problem with their QR code method of paying when my bank wanted to text me a verification code and I had replaced my US SIM card with a local one upon arriving in London. That problem was quickly solved when one of the staff got a POS machine and let me pay that way. I see there are several Wagamama restaurants in the area. Wish we had one where I live.

Spicy Chicken Katsu Curry

Short: Relatively Fast, filling, and super tasty. Hit the spot. Amazing location. (Visited early June 2022) I came in about 20 mins before they were closing. Due to, having an evening stroll by the tower bridge and the Tower of London. I was very happy they still served me, especially since I barely ate that day. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Katsu Curry, Prawn Yakisoba, Gyoza, and the Cherry Blossom lemonade. The food was hot and very fresh. However, out of my whole order, the yakisoba arrived first and the gyoza last. The Katsu curry was super filling and pretty spicy, was really happy about it, and tasted pretty authentic. The yakisoba did have a good selection and amount of stir fry vegetables. But I wished they used different noodles and put the sushi ginger on the side. The ginger is usually meant as a palate cleanser. From my assumption, I understood they had it as a refreshing and colorful garnish. I really loved the gyoza and dip. However, there wasn't much consistency in terms of the frying. I will say this was due to ordering them whilst they began cleaning up to close. The lemonade is a signature, and it is super refreshing as well as delicate. This was my second time eating at a Wagamama. Wagamama is a personal favorite now, thanks to their spicy chicken katsu curry and the cherry blossom lemonade.

What a pleasant surprise finding this fast casual Asian fusion restaurant right across from Tower of London. We have a kid who is a picky eater but he loves rice and I am restricted in my diet, too. We all found suitable items offered on the menu. I ordered brown rice and all of the sides or "ban-chan" in Korean. Sides included Japanese pickles, hot peppers, kimchi, miso soup. The service was excellent. Our server made sure the menu accommodations were clear and brought out exactly as specified. I wish there were more places like this in Seattle.

This is now as chain as chain can be. I've been to this Wagamama many years ago, perhaps when there was no store to be found in the US. Now, i feel like the quality has gone down the chute. Service is slow to non existent, and if you're not a fan of shared communal tables - then you're gonna not enjoy this place. I got the cocounut curry dish with chicken - and I basically go 3 pieces of minuscule shreds of chicken with loads of veggies and rice that was slightly on the crunchy side. I'd say Mehhh to this place - there's plenty of other options in this area.

Steak Bulgogi Teppanyaki

Came here after visiting London Tower. Very nice view as it sits across from the London Tower and is close to the river too. There are no booths and instead there is open seating. I ordered the Steak Bulgogi Teppanyaki. Food came fast and was very good.

Buns & dumplings!

This Wagamama location offers tired tourists at the Tower restorative bowls of ramen, tasty dumplings and cold beer. We'd eaten here 10 years ago and liked the concept - quick, pretty cheap, pretty healthy and tasty. It was nice to see things really hadn't changed. Tables are long and will be communal during busy times. There's a full bar menu, or you can order tea, sake or fresh juices and smoothies. I wasn't starving so I had an order of chicken steam buns & steamed dumplings. Both were fresh and full of flavor. If you want extra heat, they offer spicy chili oil along with a spice powder. I used both, no regrets. The Mister had a ramen and our friend had a curry - both were happy with their choices. If you're at the Tower and need a break you can do much worse!

Place is so cute! We love the food! We ordered appetizers, noodle and rice! Service was fast and staff members were very friendly! Kids loved their teriyaki over rice; and we loved our appetizers and the bulgogi over noodle. We all ended up sharing!

Pork in a soft shell
Roman K.

We tried the pork ramen and also beef ramen and enjoyed them both. The ramen did have some spicy to it; about enough to make your lips tingle kind of thing. I also tried the pork in the soft bun and found it to be very savory. Cool online payment checkout option and great service. Loved the music volume as you could converse with it on.

Decent but nothing special. They were a little shorthanded so everything took quite a while but the food was pretty good once it arrived.

Its tall ceilings, long drapes and brightly lit bar provide an impressive backdrop for an aperitif before dinner, or for the casual dining on cushioned seats or high tables on the ground floor. They also offer a more formal dining experience on the second floor. I remember their drink menu being fairly extensive, with the cocktails often containing many sorts of Asian ingredients such as lychee, ginger or chilli. As probably as inappropriate as it was, I decided to order cocktail from their decent selection of non-alcoholic ones named 'Bankrupt', full of berries and refreshing ingredients. It was a reasonably sized drink for the £6 they charged, particularly when I thought a place like this would serve everything in small glasses. I asked for the menu and I'm lead to believe they have a different menu downstairs than they do upstairs. I had a mandate to eat noodles that day, so I ended up with one of my favourites, Singapore Noodles. Had I more of an appetite, I would have been tempted by their decent selection of side dishes or appetisers. I have to admit their noodles weren't the best that I've had - with maybe not enough curry powder or chilli for my liking, even after asking for some more on the side. I was impressed they used some good quality ingredients for the noodle dish though, with three or four large king prawns as well as fresh vegetables (most other places would use the smaller prawns). At £8 for the dish, it's not the best valued Singapore Noodles I've had, but it's also not the most offensive I've had. I'd probably return to this place, if anything just to hang out at their bar. I don't think their menu is significantly different for me to want to visit them specifically for their food, but the ambiance downstairs and the bar is definitely worth it.

I never had an empty glass. Service was so incredibly attentive without ever feeling overbearing. They brought out starters promptly. Edamame was really great. Loved the shishito peppers as well. I didn't even touch the miso soup lol. Saving my appetite for the main event! The sushi buffet was truly excellent. The sashimi was impeccable quality. One very minor complaint is that the plates were very small (not a huge deal, I just felt bad for the staff for having to clear plates often as I could only fit like four pieces of sushi on one, lol). I thought the range of food was great. The salads were really nice as well. There was a very simply dressed spinach salad with a subtle truffle flavour that I loved. The choice of mains is really just a bonus. I opted for the black cod (of course) which (of course) was fantastic. Honestly the buffet was so good I would have been just as happy without it but who can complain! Minor complaint is that the dessert selection was just okay. Honestly given how phenomenal everything else was I was a bit surprised they didn't elevate the desserts as much. I had some decent churros with a truly unbelievable caramel sauce and tried a brownie that I didn't love. I didn't come for the desserts and it still hit the spot, but they could show them some love! Overall well worth the price. Will return.

The food all came out quite quick before I could tell them to stop. I was able to eat the first few things (about 60GBP of value of food). The restaurant admitted this was a training fail on their part (I have the back and forth emails) but still charged me for a full Omakase price even though I never had an Omakase experience! It's a real shame as Nobu has been one of my favorite restaurants. To charge the customer for their own self admitted complete failure is a DISGRACE!!

I was a bit skeptical of their paper container and ordering system, but once I had a sip on that soup... I was in noodle heaven! I've never been to Thailand to compare if this was an authentic Thai food, but I saw some Thai girls eating there and also heard the employees speaking Thai, so I'm pretty sure they are as authentic as I could get in London. I had too many fake Asian-fusion food in London so I was glad to know. I went back there again a few days later but they were closed for Easter holiday. I was so bummed. Hole in the wall Authentic as hell Cheap and friendly Specialist in a few key dishes Delicious and spicy too Just a few chairs and a table At lunch they do take out lunches of authentic Thai curries on rice and sell Thai snacks and sodas off the shelf. Previously impossible to get this done right in London and now available cheap and easily here and just so perfect too. Their normal boat noddles are simply amazing but for a truly authentic version (if you know what I mean) you'll have to ask hard. Send me a message if you're confused and I'll explain off the record. It's not really necessary as its already better than any Thai noodle soup elsewhere in town without the extra unadvertised ingredients. In fact it's the one thing that can surpass pho and it surpasses the best kingsland road pho easily. You've been told!
