What a nice time I had here with my family. We went a few weeks ago. And it was packed. But everyone was having such a good time. And the weather was nice and chilly. It was actually perfect. There was so many activities there like apple picking, shopping, music, dancing etc.... we personally did not do the apple picking because it was a bit too pricey for our pockets but we enjoyed the food, the music anf the company. Finally made it to Warwick valley winery! I was very impressed with the layout and overall experience and definitely will return with a larger group in the future. We came as a party of four and moved around from inside to outside and then inside due to the off and on rain. There is a very larger outdoor patio with umbrellas and tables and a covered section that people pay to rent out. There are two covered patios as well as indoor seating. On weekend there is live music so it gets extremely loud when you're inside. They have a great amount of wine and ciders to try as well as their own hard liquors. I started with a wine flight and ended up drinking a bottle of the black dirt blush as it was $12 for a bottle and $8 for a glass. The smoked maple old fashioned was extremely refreshing with its citrus taste and overall flavor profile. The ciders here are always delicious once you decide which is your favorite. We also ordered food and I can say I was definitely not impressed by the food here. The buffalo wings were pretty rubbery and the fries tasted as if they were old and fried for a second time. The poutine with pulled pork was alright but nothing special. The inside has a nice rustic charm as well as the gift shop and bar areas. There is ample parking on the paved lot and grass field as well. Everything is either order at the bar or food counter and there is no table service. The staff behind the bar are super helpful and friendly when it comes to selecting drinks and choosing your order. Not to mention how fast and efficient they work too! I would give 5 stars however I was shocked at the amount of young children (easily 8 and under) just running around the tables inside and outside. I understand children are allowed at this winery but as parents I would say to perhaps not let them run through the inside and outside patio areas as it is a hazard waiting to happen and definitely ruins the experience for other parties trying to relax and enjoy their time there. read more

My friend wanted to introduced us to a beautiful winery and took us here! It's lovely!! Tons of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating! I tried the cider tasting which was quite good! I really enjoyed all the flavors! They had the original, pear (yummm), black current (I believe this is a seasonal one), raspberry (tad sour, but very subtle!) and one that tasted more hoppy (so if you want a cider that tastes similar to a ipa, they got you covered!) All of them were nice! I ended up buying a candle that smelled like the pear one! We all got food which was very tasty! I had the chicken tacos. They don't disappoint. My other friend got the flaky Brie pastry and my other friend got the very generous portioned chicken sandwich! I had a good time here. Such a beautiful winery! We visited on Sunday as my friend was celebrating her birthday there. We had such a great day! It's $10 cash to get in and $40 a bag if you choose to go apple picking. You can fill the whole bag and it's about 25lbs. The prices for their food and cocktails are about average. We got their lobster roll which was $27. They have this delicious cocktail called the Gin Pig which is $10 a glass or $30 for the whole bottle. BUY the WHOLE BOTTLE!!! It's delicious. You can pay with a credit card for food & drinks, I think it's a $10 minimum. They have some tables but you can bring blankets & chairs to set up picnic style , which is what we did. They had a live band on Sunday and you can set up your area over there or take a tractor ride to "The White Tent" which also sells wine & cocktails. They have 2 tractors that run from the apple orchard to the main winery area that are free of charge. And you can jump on them at any time to experience all of Warwick Winery. Our friend wanted to show us around Warwick a bit and had told us about this place and was very excited to take us here. My friend did a wine/cider tasting while I enjoyed a beer as I am not a wine/cider person and my other friend got a mixed drink. I got a specialty cocktail at first but it was wayyyy to sweet for me. So that is why I opted for a beer. We had lunch here which to my surprise was very tasty. I had a nice chicken sandwich with cheese, my friend had tacos which looked incredible and I forgot what my other friend had as he had eaten it before I got a chance to take a picture/ ask what he was eating. Upon driving in, you're charged $10 per car to enter. The parking lot is on a grassy area which could get really muddy if it rains. You're able to do a cider tasting or a wine tasting, which we did outdoors. It was very affordable, only $8 to taste 6 ciders. They have some table seating right in front of where the live band plays. There is a lot of empty grass area where you could bring your own chairs and blankets to sit on. I wish they supplied more tables and chairs because we went on a Sunday and it was pretty busy so we did have to wait for a place to sit. I would skip the food completely. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the Margherita pizza. Both did not taste the best. The atmosphere is nice and there is ample opportunity to take beautiful pictures. You can also do sole picking. There is also a store where you can purchase the beverages. They sell apple cider donuts in a bag, 6 for $6. They're okay. They were a bit cold since they have them sitting on the counter. Overall, it was a decent place to visit on a weekend in the fall, however, I don't see the concept of charging $10 per car to enter considering you're spending money while you're there. read more

A friend and I visited Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery on a hot summer day. We arrived early and were able to grab some drink and a table on the outdoor patio. The band was setting up which gave us ample time to relax and grab some food before the live music a started and the crowd came in. We each got a salad and a side of truffle fries to split. Everything was delicious. The only downfall was the lack of reprieve from the heat . It was a bit of a sticky day and we thought that there would be some coolness near the restroom or in the food ordering area, but that's summer I guess! I spent a fantastic Saturday afternoon here with my family, trying ciders and having a picnic. Upon entering, parking was easy and well organized, with an attendant guiding the cars. Tastings of ciders, wine, or spirits are offered and include a souvenir glass. We did the cider flight (Doc's Hard Ciders) and they were all delicious. We purchased some bottles to take home (found a lone peach cider, yesss! Probably from last season's batch as I'm told it's only in season for a short time in the summer and it's not time yet). A fridge is stocked with some chilled bottles and cheeses & charcuterie as well. They also sell cordials and liqueurs. The prices are very reasonable for everything. The food was pretty decent, and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside, with another bar outdoors. Live music is presented on the weekends. The grounds are clean and well kept, with many picnic tables all around, but you can also bring own chairs and picnic blankets to chill on the grass, which we did. They're open year-round, and in autumn there is apple picking. We had a wonderful and relaxing time exploring the grounds and trying locally crafted beverages, and can't wait to return! read more

Parking is ridiculous. They have people parking so far away up a hill. We were told there was transportation every 15 min and when it passed it did not stop. Parking attendants are clueless teenagers that have no idea what's going on. All your food has a 15% gratuity added onto it in lieu of a tip the menu says. I refuse to give them a tip on the bottles of wine that we bought and served ourselves, and the staff person gave me an annoyed look. The flyer says you're not allowed to bring any food or drinks on the property while we were there. We saw many people walking in with all kinds of coolers and food. No one was checking anything. I would definitely go elsewhere next time the wine wasn't even good. Be prepared to use porta potties not being able to access a table because it's so crowded. You need to bring your own chairs blankets, etc. so basically we paid $10 to park our car and another hundred dollars for food just for the pleasure of sitting on their grass. Went here yesterday for a day trip. Very crowded and packed, but I'd say that's the only down fall. Every staff member we encountered were kind, friendly and not remotely stressed by the crowds. Everything had a long line. Wine tasting, food, the store. But the grounds are well kept, very spacious, and lots to do. Tractor rides were nice and didn't feel we waited too long to get on. It was $10 a car to get in. We waited in traffic quite a while to get there. Inside we felt it was quicker to buy a bottle of wine and they give you cups and ice then it was to wine taste. Bottles ranged from $13-20. They uncork for you. Wine tasting was $10 for 5 wines and a wine glass the tent was just too crowded. People were waiting over an hour to try and get to the wine. Apple picking was $35 for a bag you can fill. Cider donuts were $6 for half a dozen. Overall a fun day. Pricing was good I thought. Just very crowded but you expect that on a gorgeous fall day. read more

Still a favorite. I've been here a few times and everything is always well organized. My boyfriend and I met some friends here the past weekend and we arrived super early to get a table and some chairs. We probably got there right when they opened. Parking is 10 bucks and they guide you right to your spot. We picked a nice table right by some trees and close to their food and drink shed. The place fills up very quick so coming early is key to getting a table! Otherwise, bring a blanket and some chairs because the lawn is huge. The food is actually fantastic here. My favorite is always the margarita pie. So crispy, not floppy at all and topped with a delicious basil oil drizzle. Yummm, if they sold that basil oil I'd be the first to buy it. Their fries are also so crispy and perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend liked his grilled chicken sandwich too. The ciders are the star for me. I especially love the pumpkin and the original apple ciders. Some of the people in our group favored the Black Dirt Red for wines. We also did some tastings. They're absolutely worth the price and everyone who works there is so well educated on their drinks it's very impressive. The ground itself is really nice, the market is fantastic. It had been over 10 years since my last visit to the Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery, so I was not sure what to expect when I returned recently with some friends. I was surprised to discover that there was a $10 fee per car during apple-picking season, which was a bummer. The winery was open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, and we tried to beat the crowd by arriving around 11:45 am. Well, the place was still rather packed, even at that earlier hour. We had to drive up a long hill to park our car, and then walk back down it to the main winery. The building housed a restaurant, shop, and bar. It was surrounded by a tasting tent, a stage with live music, a patio with small tables, a BBQ food truck, and a grassy area with picnic tables. My friends had already secured a picnic table before our arrival, so we had a home base for our stuff. I put in a food order for a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and grabbed a glass of their Sangria at the bar, while I waited. The fruity wine had been made with their Black Dirt Red Wine and their Winston's Harlequin Port, making it very potent, but also extremely easy to drink...perhaps too easy! My sandwich was tasty, but took about 30 minutes to be ready. I knew the place was more crowded at that point, but it was a very lengthy wait. After we had all eaten, we took a short walk to the hayride, which took us up to the orchard to pick some apples. It cost $35 for a one-half bushel apple bag, so I just watched my friends' children do the picking. I thought this cost was crazy, but, they did manage to get it from customers, so I understand why they continued to price it as such. They had a wide variety of large, blemish-less apples ripe for the picking. After that excursion, we took the hayride back down to pack up our stuff, grab some boozy supplies to-go from their shop, and drive home. Our afternoon at the Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery was not cheap, but it certainly was fun! The place offered something for everyone and made for an excellent daytrip. read more

I went towards the end of the changing of the leaves in the fall and was lucky to visit with great weather. I loved coming here but now it's getting 2 stars. The logistics of wine tasting when it's crowded are horrible. They no longer allow you to take your tastings outside the tent. This cause lines to form way longer than they should be. We couldn't enjoy our food and wine at the same time and that defeats the purpose of being here. It feels more stressful now and we come here to relax. Also, food charges a 15% service charge THEN taxes your bill. There are so many people here buying stuff from everywhere the 15% service charge is absurd. Honestly, go to other surrounding wineries until Warwick gets their act together. My family had a great time here. Stumbled onto the 30 anniversary of their Bob Dylan festival this weekend. Good vibes. Great food. Better drinks and staff. Definitely busy. It's my second time here. You just grab tables or go on the grass. I came on a Saturday when it wasn't too busy. There was a band playing rock. It was hot, definitely try to get under an umbrella if you're at the table. There is a $10 credit card minimum. They have great liquors, ciders and wines. The food comes in large portions even though it's a bit pricey. The grill has a 15% service charge on top of tip. The store has a nice variety of local products. The bathroom was gross. It's a beautiful area though. We drove here. It could be difficult for Ubers to get to you. They have WiFi but signal is low. read more

I really enjoyed the Dead Festival. Only went Sunday. The venue is beautiful. Sound quality was awesome! They've improved the food service by taking your phone number and paging you when your food is ready. They had lots of grab and go options too like water and cheese and crackers. The place is gorgeous. The pear trees were laden with pears. So pretty to look at while watching live music. The patios are lovely with tables and umbrellas. They have several ways to purchase food both outside on the patio or inside the lower building. Every one was friendly. Parking was so easy. Staff was very nice. The food was good although they did run out of the tacos and that's what I wanted to order. I really love this place! Next time I may want to simple their award winning liquor and possible take some home. You can just see how much care has gone into creating this place. Absolutely huge! People set up their own tents, chairs, play pens, tables and blankets. Totally cool for friends, family gatherings, kids and the elderly.
