Finally made it to Warwick valley winery! I was very impressed with the layout and overall experience and definitely will return with a larger group in the future. We came as a party of four and moved around from inside to outside and then inside due to the off and on rain. There is a very larger outdoor patio with umbrellas and tables and a covered section that people pay to rent out. There are two covered patios as well as indoor seating. On weekend there is live music so it gets extremely loud when you're inside. They have a great amount of wine and ciders to try as well as their own hard liquors. I started with a wine flight and ended up drinking a bottle of the black dirt blush as it was $12 for a bottle and $8 for a glass. The smoked maple old fashioned was extremely refreshing with its citrus taste and overall flavor profile. The ciders here are always delicious once you decide which is your favorite. We also ordered food and I can say I was definitely not impressed by the food here. The buffalo wings were pretty rubbery and the fries tasted as if they were old and fried for a second time. The poutine with pulled pork was alright but nothing special. The inside has a nice rustic charm as well as the gift shop and bar areas. There is ample parking on the paved lot and grass field as well. Everything is either order at the bar or food counter and there is no table service. The staff behind the bar are super helpful and friendly when it comes to selecting drinks and choosing your order. Not to mention how fast and efficient they work too! I would give 5 stars however I was shocked at the amount of young children (easily 8 and under) just running around the tables inside and outside. I understand children are allowed at this winery but as parents I would say to perhaps not let them run through the inside and outside patio areas as it is a hazard waiting to happen and definitely ruins the experience for other parties trying to relax and enjoy their time there.

My friend wanted to introduced us to a beautiful winery and took us here! It's lovely!! Tons of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating! I tried the cider tasting which was quite good! I really enjoyed all the flavors! They had the original, pear (yummm), black current (I believe this is a seasonal one), raspberry (tad sour, but very subtle!) and one that tasted more hoppy (so if you want a cider that tastes similar to a ipa, they got you covered!) All of them were nice! I ended up buying a candle that smelled like the pear one! We all got food which was very tasty! I had the chicken tacos. They don't disappoint. My other friend got the flaky Brie pastry and my other friend got the very generous portioned chicken sandwich! I had a good time here. They have a stage and apple picking-- they offer tons of activities...! It'll be cool to come back!

Such a beautiful winery! We visited on Sunday as my friend was celebrating her birthday there. We had such a great day! It's $10 cash to get in and $40 a bag if you choose to go apple picking. You can fill the whole bag and it's about 25lbs. The prices for their food and cocktails are about average. We got their lobster roll which was $27. They have this delicious cocktail called the Gin Pig which is $10 a glass or $30 for the whole bottle. BUY the WHOLE BOTTLE!!! It's delicious. You can pay with a credit card for food & drinks, I think it's a $10 minimum. They have some tables but you can bring blankets & chairs to set up picnic style , which is what we did. They had a live band on Sunday and you can set up your area over there or take a tractor ride to "The White Tent" which also sells wine & cocktails. They have 2 tractors that run from the apple orchard to the main winery area that are free of charge. And you can jump on them at any time to experience all of Warwick Winery. All in all we had a great day and would definitely come back again!

beautiful place and a fun fall activity but sooo crowded! parking gets full too so you may have to go up the "hill" and walk back down to where most of the activities are. Good food is served though but wait line can get long. if you dont have the patience and so not like large crowds then stay clear from this place lol but if youre up for it, this will be a fun spot for you. short review as we really didnt stay a while but i liked the ambiance there though.

Our friend wanted to show us around Warwick a bit and had told us about this place and was very excited to take us here. My friend did a wine/cider tasting while I enjoyed a beer as I am not a wine/cider person and my other friend got a mixed drink. I got a specialty cocktail at first but it was wayyyy to sweet for me. So that is why I opted for a beer. We had lunch here which to my surprise was very tasty. I had a nice chicken sandwich with cheese, my friend had tacos which looked incredible and I forgot what my other friend had as he had eaten it before I got a chance to take a picture/ ask what he was eating. They had a well stocked little cute store in the area and plenty of seating options. We were the only ones eating in the indoor area. They had beautiful land where they had alot of sitting options. It was a fun spot to come to.

Pizza and pulled pork sandwich. Did not taste good would not recommend.

Upon driving in, you're charged $10 per car to enter. The parking lot is on a grassy area which could get really muddy if it rains. You're able to do a cider tasting or a wine tasting, which we did outdoors. It was very affordable, only $8 to taste 6 ciders. They have some table seating right in front of where the live band plays. There is a lot of empty grass area where you could bring your own chairs and blankets to sit on. I wish they supplied more tables and chairs because we went on a Sunday and it was pretty busy so we did have to wait for a place to sit. I would skip the food completely. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the Margherita pizza. Both did not taste the best. The atmosphere is nice and there is ample opportunity to take beautiful pictures. You can also do sole picking. There is also a store where you can purchase the beverages. They sell apple cider donuts in a bag, 6 for $6. They're okay. They were a bit cold since they have them sitting on the counter. Overall, it was a decent place to visit on a weekend in the fall, however, I don't see the concept of charging $10 per car to enter considering you're spending money while you're there.

Lovely summer day here with friends and family. The pizza was sooo good and everyone loved the wine and cider. Cute space, would definitely love to come back and see it in the Fall.

always a wonderful experience, if you don't enjoy yourself it's likely because you didn't prepare well. arm yourself with patience, there will be lines because everyone comes for the ambiance. wear comfortable flat shoes. it is a large property, plenty of space if you want to sit indoors , on the patio, wooden tables, and the occasional outdoor concert so helpful hint to bring your own chairs and blankets. two food lines, one outdoors and inside - both are fast and efficient. you order and purchase at the register and they supply receipt and text your phone (wifi password on the bottom) when food is prepared for pick up. wine and drinks are separated in another room so prepare to divide and conquer if you come with a group. stay a while, enjoy the refreshing open air and sample the offerings.

A friend and I visited Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery on a hot summer day. We arrived early and were able to grab some drink and a table on the outdoor patio. The band was setting up which gave us ample time to relax and grab some food before the live music a started and the crowd came in. We each got a salad and a side of truffle fries to split. Everything was delicious. The only downfall was the lack of reprieve from the heat . It was a bit of a sticky day and we thought that there would be some coolness near the restroom or in the food ordering area, but that's summer I guess! Overall, it was a great experience and would be happy to visit again.

I spent a fantastic Saturday afternoon here with my family, trying ciders and having a picnic. Upon entering, parking was easy and well organized, with an attendant guiding the cars. Tastings of ciders, wine, or spirits are offered and include a souvenir glass. We did the cider flight (Doc's Hard Ciders) and they were all delicious. We purchased some bottles to take home (found a lone peach cider, yesss! Probably from last season's batch as I'm told it's only in season for a short time in the summer and it's not time yet). A fridge is stocked with some chilled bottles and cheeses & charcuterie as well. They also sell cordials and liqueurs. The prices are very reasonable for everything. The food was pretty decent, and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside, with another bar outdoors. Live music is presented on the weekends. The grounds are clean and well kept, with many picnic tables all around, but you can also bring own chairs and picnic blankets to chill on the grass, which we did. They're open year-round, and in autumn there is apple picking. We had a wonderful and relaxing time exploring the grounds and trying locally crafted beverages, and can't wait to return!

I wouldve given this place 4 stars but for now its like a 3.8 What I liked: So much to see, very large, great for groups, live music What I loved: the many different options of drinks, there was everything from cocktails to wines and ciders, and the price was very reasonable What went wrong: Wooo chile the lines the lines the lines are so long. We spent more time waiting on lines then the chance to actually enjoy the place. Mind you its more like 2 hrs from NY with weekend traffic so very disappointing to have spent so much time in lines My recommendation: avoid Saturdays, get there as soon as it opens. Maybe even avoid October all together... the crowds are just a bit wild. Also bring a blanket or chairs to sit on! You're welcome

Food and ambiance are great. The wine is wonderful for a local vine. The prices are good, so the value is there.

How much is parking?

Parking is free

Is there a vineyard we can walk around?

There's an apple orchard

Is it only outdoor dining? If so is it heated if its cold out?

I was there in late October. There was outdoor seating only. At that time there was no heating or tents. Check the weather and dress accordingly. We were there on a sunny day but even so , it was cool in the late afternoon.

Are dogs allowed here?

They don't allow dogs. Almost all other local wineries/breweries/orchards do. Take your business to those places.

Is this place kid friendly?

There were kids present when I went but I personally wouldn’t take kids here. There are other orchards in the area that are better for kids because they actually have activities for them. Besides apple or pumpkin picking there are no other kid… Read more

Do they have charcuterie boards here? If not, can we bring our own (and purchase food there)?

Yes, they have them.

Do they take credit cards?

For wine/cider/tasting or anything you buy in their store like a t shirt - yes. However, for food they take cash only. They have an ATM on site.

Title: Exceptional Tour and Truly World-Class Spirits…read more My visit to the Hudson House Distillery was an outstanding experience, elevated by a personal tour with the founder, Charles. The location itself is breathtaking, set in a beautifully restored historic mansion right on the Hudson River. However, the real highlight was getting a behind-the-scenes look at their distillation process. Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate as he walked us through their production of rye, bourbon, gin, and vodka. A must-try is their vodka, which Charles proudly explained is distilled a remarkable 12 times. I can confidently say it is the best vodka I have ever sampled--exceptionally smooth. I was also impressed by their other spirits: Northwest Passage Gin: This gin stands out because it uses naturally soft water sourced directly from their artesian wells. Black Creek Bourbon: I was fortunate enough to sample a limited Founder's Batch of this bourbon. It is truly hand-crafted, made using limestone-softened natural artesian well water. The depth of care and quality put into every bottle is evident, and the personal details shared by the founder made the spirits taste even better. If you have the chance, I highly recommend asking for the tour--it provides an incredible appreciation for the craftsmanship at Hudson House Distillery.

But the food was so well prepared that it should be recognized. We started with a very tasty pork belly bao with hoisin sauce. Their house salad was a very well presented and interesting salad. But they knocked it out of the park with their entrees: roasted branzino with asparagus in a beurre blanc sauce and a strip steak served on a bed of caramelized onions and mushrooms in a bordelaise sauce. In particular, the steak, ordered medium rare, came out tender and perfectly cooked, and was of very high quality. Finally the sticky toffee pudding cake was served warm and was delicious. I would highly recommend the food here. Kudos to the chef!

Like the brewpub, Silk City Distillery had been on my wish list, and it was not until I arrived at Ghost Hawk that I noticed that they were adjacent to each other, allowing me to check both off at once. The tasting room was adorned with barrels that were holding their vast selection of spirits, such as bourbon, whisky, rum, gin, vodka, and more. They also offered a handful of regular and high-top tables, which we were easy to obtain on that afternoon (given the outdoor options as well), but typically reservations were recommended. Though the seating was comfortable, the temperature was not. In fact, it was freezing in there, and we, along with a lot of other parties, switched tables multiple times to find the best fit. We approached the counter to order from their lengthy cocktail list, which included standard and more custom cocktails. I decided on their rendition of a Lime Rickey, asking for it to be made with their gin. The tart, sour, and sweet drink was light and refreshing. I enjoyed each sip so much that I wound up getting a second round. While many distilleries offer a few types of alcohol and a handful of cocktails, the Silk City Distillery went above and beyond with their vast array of options. Any connoisseur should enjoy the place!

Parking was pretty straightforward. You might need to walk a little to the main area, where there's a small fee to enter the non-apple-picking area. It's small but cute. There are some things for kids to climb on, some animals to see, and a good amount of places to sit and eat purchased food and beverages or what you brought in. The apple cider donuts are definitely worth getting, and I was decently satisfied with my pulled pork sandwich. Next time, though, I'd probably just bring my own food. There's a small store with items and snacks for sale (and an ATM). There's also a bar for some seasonal drinks. The apple-picking area you pay by the bag size. Cash only.
