I was looking for a very early morning car and driver to take my husband to the hospital in Middletown from our home in Bethel. I got some pretty outrageous rates from a couple of car service companies. Warwick Valley offered a reasonable rate and I confirmed the date and time with Mike, who would be doing the driving. The night before, last minute, the hospital called to tell us my husband had to be there an hour earlier than they first told us. GRRRRR! I called Mike right away and there was no problem at all adjusting the pick up time. I was happy to be able to sleep to 8:30 AM as usual, feed and walk our dogs and then drive to the hospital myself to pick up my husband when I got the call he was ready. My husband told me Mike was at our house right on time, and he was dropped off at the hospital right on time. Smooth ride! Thanks for excellent customer service! I called to get a quote and book their service to Newark airport. I spoke to a gentleman he took all information. He seem to b very concern about the 5am flight time. Which meant the pick up would have been about 2am. He repeated that a few times. He gave me the quote of 2 different prices going to the airport was more then the return! He said that he would get back to me by Tuesday. I called on Monday!!! When he said that I knew it was going to another car service. Which I did and had no problem with the pick up time. She was very knowledgeable of the area (warwick) and gave us awesome recommendations, one of which we stopped at and had a GREAT time. Mike is great! He showed up early to pick us up at Crystal Springs resorts in a newer, very clean mini van (there were 5 of us). My friends and i hired him for a day out touring the local vineyards in the area for a bachelorette party. Mike offered great suggestion for the different vineyards and brought a lot of insight to our vineyard options. He even was willing to add an hour and a half because we were having so much fun. Warwick and surrounding areas do not have many options when it comes to transportation - Uber is limited or non existent and local car companies are not very accessible- and sometimes completely unavailable. I was fearful we would be stuck at a location and unable to get a ride back - so the idea of hiring a car for a day is both convenient and safe. With that being said, it come at a price. - we were willing to pay for it since it was a bachelorette celebration and convenience and safety were our priority - Crystal Springs Resort to Pennings, to Orange County Distillery back to Crystal Springs - we covered a decent amount of ground - 5 hours = $325 1.5 hours - $125 So $450 total plus tip for 6.5 hours. Worth it For us and anyone else looking for the same experience. Ultimately it was a great experience and glad we did it! read more

He said that he couldn't do it without the two addresses. I had the opportunity to use this service weekly over the last 9 months (60+ trips). In that time, I never had an issue going to / from Newark, LaGuardia or White Plains airports. Mike was very professional and always would validate my trip, double checking my departure/arrivals and being very accommodating when my plans needed to change. Both Mike and his wife Linda are very nice people and great conversationalists. Mike is very conscientious about how is business operates which is why he generally does not bring on additional drivers to meet the growing demand for his services. (Although the new guy Tab is practically a clone of Mike and awesome). While there are other car services / taxi businesses in the area, I encourage you to give Warwick Valley Car Service a try. It certainly made my life a lot easier getting to / from the airport whether it was 4am or midnight. I will be sure to use him again when I am back on the road for business. Horrible -- I booked service both ways from Slate Hill to Laguardia - the ride to Laguardia was fine, the ride home was -- well there was no ride home. Our flight was delayed, he texed me he would be there. Our flight was delayed an additional 2 hours, so were would be landing at 11:30pm. He texted me he would not be there and to try Uber. Thats it?! he then texed me numbers to call to see if some other company can pick us up. I understand we were delayed, but I would think this happens in this business! He couldn't be bothered to find someone else to pick us up! I had to call many other car companies as we were boarding the plane! NEVER, NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!!! read more
