Excellent distillery! The sangria was amazing, it was different than other places but in a great way! Also the Oktoberfest was great and we even tried the seltzer, everything so tasty! Family and puppy friendly as well. The staff is amazing! We were sitting on the deck on my birthday and and gentleman worker just handed us a mason jar filled with beautiful flowers to have, such a pleasant surprise! Typically they have u-pick flowers for $15. Inside there are many options for hanging out, you can even go upstairs where there are more couches and chairs. I've been here before and have never disliked their drinks but came out to see the cousins Maine lobster truck. I love that even though they don't serve food they've always got a food truck outside where you can get food and bring it inside to order drinks and eat. The bartenders were super friendly and the lady helping me even recommended a drink which ended up being delicious. We sat in the barn and were able to eat, drink, and play board games for awhile. A unique tasting bourbon from this black dirt region. I'd describe it as farm style or more natural tasting. I'm usually a rye lover but I actually like their regular bourbon more than their rye. Loved the cask strength tastings and got myself a full pour to sit down and enjoy. Great ambiance and a great place to hangout upstairs if they don't have it reserved for a party. Yeah we had a great time here on a Friday afternoon. No mask by staff but we don't care. It's very open and air flow is great. You can spend the rest of your time in the lawn with live music right after your drinks. Live music according to the bartender is Friday and Saturday night only and they are really good. They were playing 90s cover and we had lots fun. There are firepit and Adirondack chairs with picnic table. We got there around 5pm and the crowd is pretty thin. Service is good. We ordered a specialty cocktails and got that on instagram. Overall it's fun chatting with human after COVID. Every customers mind to their own table and it's pretty distanced. Price is decent and I heard something about their happy hour which we need to go back to find out. Food is limited and don't think about vegan. They are mostly burger and fries and wings from a food truck. We weren't hungry for those. Also leave your drink and food at home. This is not a byob place. Tasted like 50/50 bourbon-vermouth. The bartender completely ignored the request for light vermouth. Now we feel like a tourist in a tourist trap. We are local. Supporting local business. On to the food truck. "MELT". Our group of five ordered four Double Smash Burgers and one Rib Eye Grilled Cheese. Only ONE of the burgers were double smash. How the food truck people think they could pass off a regular burger is terrible. If they told us and offered a burger on the house, or some form of excuse, it would be fine. Not cool. Having a hard time returning for all that money. Cold fries and lame burgers with a plastic cup full of ice pretending to be a Manhattan for $15. Take these reviews to heart and make some changes. I finally visited the Orange County distillery at brown barn farm. I pulled up and parked and I was impressed with the location. Basically it's a old bar in the middle of farmland. This is a super unique spot, both in atmosphere and drinks. For starters, it's in an old barn looking building with really cute decor and tons of seating. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There's a fireplace and string lights indoors which really sets a nice ambiance. The cocktails on the menu are a little pricey, I think the lowest was around $9, but they do have really unique flavor combos. I tried a gin cocktail and was not disappointed. However, our outlook changed immediately upon walking inside! This is such a cool place! The giant barn has a full bar and some tables, which was great. They have an upstairs attic area filled with sofas, games, a projector for movie screenings, etc. They also have a food truck outside and the guys will bring your food back into the bar for you. I loved my cocktail, I loved my lunch. I loved my time here! It seems that people can bring blankets and hang out on the grass outside, or set up at one of the picnic tables. The OCD was delicious. There was a bit of a line to order drinks but you could scan a menu so you know what you want when you get there. Huge outdoor seating area so very easy to keep your distance from other customers. You have to order food from food truck and show receipt to order drinks. It was a busy Saturday. The Up In Smoke is by far my favorite, but I can also recommend their Old Fashioned and their Hot Toddy. Perfect cozy place for a winter beverage. I hear it gets crowded during Apple season, but in the winter you can enjoy drinks at the live slab wood bar or go upstairs and relax on their comfortable sofas with coffee tables. Just to keep in mind - there are two different locations for this spot. We accidentally went to both. Which is okay. But the first that we went to was the actual location where they make the magic happen. They still offer tastings and merchandise for purchase. The area where you can wander around is a lot more confined though and its more like an informative session for a few minutes and sipping a taste of what they have to offer. Their other location is just down the road a few blocks and they have a full tasting room with cocktails, beer, and food. The first location was okay. . . . . once we found out we were in the wrong place I feel the person working there asked if we'd like to try the vodka since we were already there and we couldn't say no. Their vodka is made with sugar beets. Very similar to Industry city except you can actually smell and taste the beets and they are more fragrant in this particular case. Curiosity killed the cat (not the distillery kitty that they have) and I wanted to also sample the Honey Whiskey before we left. Mind you, this wasn't even a full shot. This was a half a sip, barely enough to wet my tongue and not enough to visibly see in any glass. She then disclaimed that we had one more tasting and we all looked confused around at each other. My friends only wanted to try the vodka and leave but we got hooked into what was a bait and trap $5 a person tasting, that wasn't really a tasting because this wasn't any kind of a pour. It was alright though. Kind of. I tried lastly one of their gins and we took off for their second spot. I love barns that have buses outside. There's a little yellow school bus that sells food and snacks and stuff. Adorable. Burgers, fish tacos, pulled pork, wings, mac and cheese, empanadas. A decent selection of typical pub food. I didn't try any but it sounded all good. The inside of the barn is so quaint and country. I could kick back and drink in here for hours if I had nothing better to do. Make sure to check out upstairs. It's like a quaint haunted attic with grand pappy sipping his rye in the corner next to the hay. Maybe my imagination has runneth over. There was a festive baby shower going on in a separate room as well. My cocktail wasn't exactly my cup of tea - The Courkat ($9) - Vodka, muddled jalapenos, sparkling lemonade, and splash of lime. I struggled to drink this one. The vodka and their spirits are smooth and delicious but not a great cocktail, my friend. Beer selection for a distillery bar - kind of solid and more reasonably priced. Tried out the Roscoe Beer Company brews. I'd say overall the ambiance is great. It's a little pricey for cocktails and the more embellished ones didn't taste outstanding. I'd just stick to doing a tasting flight and sip some beers or your choice on the rocks. read more

Great location in rural Orange County and great inside rustic bar area with numerous drink selections. Since it's a distillery the prices are a bit higher and well the drinks are none like you'd get at a normal bar, there is a separate barn like area with a music stage and an opening to the outside area which is great for kids. I ordered the "up in smoke" drink which they used real smoke infused with bourbon and orange bitters sort of like an old fashioned. The food truck they had outside was good and they also have maple syrup that you can buy as well as shirts, i'm sure I'll be there several times this summer! read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Who would have thought this barn on the backroads would have such beautifully crafted cocktails? The actually distillery is HUGE. I can't truly review because I never got a chance to try it. I can review the customer service though. I attempted to go there a very long time ago. 8 years or so. I don't know why I never finished writing my review. Drove over 2 hours to get there. Parked in the parking lot. They were supposed to be open, place was open, double checked the hours on the door, door was unlocked yet couldn't find anyone around. Had orders from family and friends of which items they wanted us to purchase for them to support a local business. Heard some yelling back in the front after walking around searching for a person. Witnessed what looked like a couple screaming and fighting in the parking lot. Woman in a Subaru with two young kids screaming at a man. Found out later from pics this man and woman are the owners of the distillery. They Had a blowout yelling fight in the parking lot with us watching. More than awkward. Talk about wrong place and wrong time. We slowly got back in our car and waited. We waited some time and thought enough time had passed, I wanted to try out this business because of how far we drove etc. we tried to enter after the man seemed like he was getting back to work and the woman had driven off. The owner walked into the distillery before us with us behind him and slammed the door of the distillery in our faces when my husband and I tried to enter after him while trying to get his attention after being ignored. And that was it. My husband said I just got a door slammed in my face, I will never support this business and he was right. I agreed with him. We found a little place for lunch and then drove the two hours home. Husband and wife fights happen but keep it away from your business. Beyond unprofessional and what an unforgettable experience and not in a good way. read more

Went here recently for lunch and a few drinks. First of all, great ambience inside the barn. It's rustic and warm with hi-top tables and chairs. The bar area is rather small - so that can definitely get crowded. Had lunch from the food truck - which you can also order from inside and it was good. Now their mixed drinks - amazing. A little pricey, but definitely good. The wines they carry are from local vineyards. Average wine bottle is $20-30. All in all, I would definitely come back and I love that you can bring food from outside (especially for someone with a restricted diet, this is awesome!!) My only wish is that the outdoor area had more trees to offer shade for when it's sunny and during the summer months - it would be great if they also had live music during the day vs just evenings. First timers and we had a great time early on a Friday evening. Stopped by the actual distillery first and learned from another wonderful young lady and sampled a few of their products. Then off to COCKTAIL BAR AT BROWN BARN FARMS a few miles away. Philadelphia Cheesesteak Truck was outside and their food looked great. Cheesesteak and the Nachos. Didn't get to try any but the couple down the bar said it was great. I had a Whisky Sour (unaged Single Malt Whisky, I think) and my wife had a.... or I should say two, Old Fashions, she loved THEM. I was then luck enough to have one of Westtown Brew Works delicious beers. Two gentleman were setting up to play, but we had dinner in the oven. Will be back with friends! First off I will tell you that this place is awesome, the grounds and barn are awesome, inside is fantastic, the views are beautiful.... now to the bar.... the drinks are fantastic and made with the best ingredients making top shelf cocktails, this bring me to some issues. 1- our party sat at the bar and all of us got our drinks after having to flag down a bartender, except one of us, she waited 1/2 hour to get her first. 2- the bartenders are really not friendly and seem as if we are putting them out when we ask for a drink, just bad attitudes. 3- people that walked up got served before us, every time. 4- there is no reason for the music to be so loud (this happens every time we go). There is a fix for these things and I don't think it would be hard, the place is so awesome we just can't sit there and wait forever for a drink. There was a couple that came from Brooklyn they stood next to us and waited 1/2 hour for a drink and gave up and left, unacceptable. Great spot! Karen was so nice. Just awesome Bourbon, whiskey, gin and vodka. Great list of awesome beers too. All three of the ppl working were super helpful and dripping with knowledge. This place is a hidden gem in Orange County. The atmosphere, the drink$ & the food truck are awesome. It's not a huge place, so sometimes there's a wait but it's worth it.
