Claremont Distillery is such a great new addition to Sussex County! The place is gorgeous; everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully put together. Cameron and JP were behind the bar shaking up some seriously good cocktails, and Matt, the manager, kept everything running like clockwork. He even took the time to give us a tour, which we loved!! You can really see the passion that goes into what they're doing here. I ordered a rum daiquiri made with their Tilted Dog Dark Rum and... wow. Easily the best I've ever had - smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. They've also got a really nice patio out back that's perfect for hanging out, and it looks like they've got events lined up every week. If you're in the area, you've got to stop in and support them. We had a group outing to try the new distillery 7/19/2025 at the newly opened distillery in what used to be the old Hayloft club in Hamburg. The drinks were delicious, the setting was pleasant on a warm summer evening, and our service kept the evening rolling. There was live music. We were allowed to bring our own food from our apps gathering. Everyone had a fun evening. Maybe we will utilize the outdoor space when the weather is a bit cooler. Service was horrible, later in the night there was a pile of dirty cups stacked in front of us at the bar which was gross, bartender was kind of rude to us and also after we left we checked our bank statement and there was an additional 5$ added to our bill that we did not add will not be going back. read more

I think they provide tours if you are interested in learning about the distillery process. A friend of mine rented out a section to celebrate his birthday. We had a small area where we were able to set up food to eat, drink and celebrate. They have a bar area in the front where they sell their spirits. I drank a lot of the moonshine which was delicious. It went down very smooth. I got very buzzed and have no hang over. I don't know how often they do this, but there was a band playing live music. I didn't recognize many of the songs, but they were very good and it was nice to be able to enjoy live music so it was a good time. read more

After lunch me and the girls went to this distillery tour. We used a groupon and it was $9.50 per person for a gpup of 6. When we arrived we parked close by and walked in. Kim was there and she was the bartender/bar manager. She was really nice and knowledgeable about the products, machinery and distribution. She showed us all the machines and told us how eveything was made. It was so interesting to see how they made the vodka in these large machines. After the tour we sat at the bar and with the groupon we were able to get 3 shots of whatever we wanted or a cocktail. We also got a free shot glass. I went with the cocktail and it was a peach and bourbon. It was ok tasting but definitely wasn't weak. The girls liked their shots and drinks. Some even bought some of the vodka to bring home. It was a good experience and we all had fun. read more

Decent whiskey, way overcharged, extremly unorganized,  probably shouldn't be open to the public. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend.  The experience started with a couple customers, who were clearly over served, jumping in front of us to order and trying to jump in on our tour. Our "tour" was cut short due to yeast overflow, which would normally be understandable if we weren't left standing around like assholes. Then we decided to have a drink and  our tasting experience,  We would have ordered a drink but the bartender, was a fill in and was didn't have to proper tools nor know how the place runs, was in over her head and it was not busy. Finally it was time for the tasting, which pretty much felt the same as the tour. The man who was very passionate about his whiskey started our first tasting and left to give the party the tour. We had to get the bartender to pour other 2 tastings. We did buy a bottle but was charged 75.00 even though the sign said 45.00, I wouldn't  have ordered it, but at that point we just wanted to leave. Hopefully they are able to make this a better experience for others. read more

Really fantastic quality distillery that makes amazing vodkas and whiskeys. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. I came with some friends and we all really enjoyed the tasting. The location is in a light industrial area and the tasting room is nothing fancy looking, but they produce some of the best vodka in the world. I also really loved their aged agave liquor (technically you can't call it a Tequila unless it is from a specific region in Mexico). read more

Totally unprofessional. Called them at 6 pm friday on 6/3/22 and confirmed that they are open till 10 pm. Reached there at 8 and crickets. The unit was locked and not a soul to be seen. Took pictures of phone timestamp just in case the owner is cocky enough to argue. Not sure how groupon has raving reviews. Also if going for any groupon, wait for the 30% discount that pops up occasionally. read more

Was here for an event, the vodka itself was good--but $12 is kinda steep for a drink in a plastic cup--with flat seltzer poured from an open can--or bottled iced tea/lemonade (the kind you buy from the supermarket), and no lemon/lime. I get that businesses are struggling, but why wouldn't you serve your liquors with ingredients to match their quality? read more

Free tours and $10 tastings of potato vodka and moonshine (unaged corn whiskey) means you should pay a visit to the Claremont distillery. Chris the head distiller explained the process of coaxing yummy spirits from potato flakes: mixing in the 30 barrel mash tun, sitting 3 days in the fermentation tanks, then going thru the pot and column stills, filtration system and finally the cute little bottling machine. They brew & distill about once a week now. Soon they'll be taking delivery of a whiskey still, just please don't ask me to explain how that differs from a pot or column still lol. Vodka flavors are plain, blueberry and peach. Plain was extra smooth. White lightning is available in plain (liked it) and cinnamon (apple pie). read more

Small place, looks great inside compared to outside warehouse vibe I started wit $15tour.. tasted 3 diff flavored vodkas and moonshine. Tried one of each drink before moving into the actual tour. It was 6 of us, was empty when we arrive around 6pm. Owners says it's hit or miss on saturdays and packed on Sundays.. it's a small place tho be warned. read more

These guys know how to make great liquor. The Vodka is smooth, the Moonshine was on point and best of all they're pet friendly! Amy was our bartender and tour guide for day and in addition to being very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, she let us sample everything. I'd have to say that the blueberry Vodka was my favorite. Try it in some lemonade and it's a perfect summer drink. If you think Tito's makes good vodka, then you're going to love Claremont's. You can easily make this experience last a few hours by ordering a few drinks after your tasting and having some food delivered straight to the distillery. We'll be back (with the dogs!) in August for the whiskey party. read more

Exceptionally great service that walked through the process of the spirits they produce. Had wonderful and thought out combinations of cocktails. This place is well worth seeking out if in the area and even making a special trip for. The only downfall is that they do not distribute outside of the state. They make one of the few five grain bourbons and the blueberry vodka is not to be missed, especially with lemonade. Look forward to visiting again when we return to jersey. read more

Great vodkas. The peach is super subtle and delicious, and I usually hate flavoured vodka. Moonshine is great. The cinnamon and apple pie variations are great, but the basic one is awesome. Also the guy with the moustache behind the bar and doing the tour is stellar. Knowledgeable and funny. He could sell me anything. Definitely want to see more of this stuff. read more

We had a groupon for a tour and tasting, we weren't expecting much because we paid $10 for two people(normally $10pp). When we walked in there was a cute bar with a beautiful display of the bottles they made there. We waited about 5 mins for the tour to start because one was already in progress. We didn't mind because it gave us time to look around and explore the map of local distilleries. Then, we met Nelson, he was great, Very informative. My boyfriend has the tendency to ask a lot of questions and Nelson was right on top of all of them. Normally I get embarrassed of his questions but Nelson was almost excited to answer them. I can't wait to go back when the whiskey is in play! We tasted the vodka and moonshine. The vodkas were delicious. My fave being the blueberry. I actually bought a bottle($28). The moon shines were a little stronger then I like but the couple next to us LOVED them! We will be back! read more

Four of us tried Claremont Distillery for the first time Memorial Day weekend. The service from Mike was very attentive. The vodkas we sampled (peach, blueberry) were smooth and very tasty, as was their apple pie moonshine!!! Also, each of us had a cocktail, and they were very reasonably priced and flavorful!! We returned several days later and were served by Chris. He, too, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails were consistently good at this visit.. The staff and the decor set a welcoming, relaxed tone at Claremont. Can't go wrong with this place! read more
