Stop number three. This winery was recommended by a local winery, Clearview Vineyard, also in Warwick, NY. Our party of four continues to merry, merry imbibe more while I became a lush to $7.00 to sample seven wines and keep our souvenir wine glass... woo-ho! A business card, brochure and wine list with descriptions in conjunction with their souvenir wine glass my ever growing collections are abundant and diverse. N.B. Cash only as Demarest Hill Winery do NOT accept plastic in any genre, but checks are accepted. The entrance to Demarest Hill Winery has two cute hand carved wooden bears which one carries a welcome sign. In addition to wine, they also produce vodka of Orange County, Coco Brandy, Lemoncella, Grappa, Sherry or the more for liquid revelry. The associate in the front line of operations who administered our seven different samples of our choice for the tasting was efficient but do not appear knowledgeable and certainly not very informative as a vintner or vintner master. My personal likes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Rose Cabernet Sweet for the reds while I take a delight in Resiling, Peach Wine and Apple Wine for the whites. Sampling the Grappa among other Brandy and liquors are an additional fee to the $5.00. A microscopic sip of the Grappa induce me to la-la land pegs me coughing to oblivion. The Grappa is entirely strong at 105 proof! A single facilty available is relatively clean with a clamorous fan roaring overhead.

Well I can speak for my experience at this winery that I've always enjoyed the wines that I've bought. I don't go too far out of my comfort zone, so I always buy what my wife and I enjoy. We love the Riesling and some of his spirits the ones we like and Francesco has never charged us extra for trying the spirits so I'm not sure about the other yelper who said he had to pay extra. I never leave there without trying half the stuff he has on the shelves, and believe me he has quite a lot. Even when just going for a purchase we end up tasting wether we wanted to or not. Francesco and his wife have always been courteous and friendly every time we visit and talking to the owners of the other nearby wineries they have nothing but respect and praise for him.

This place should be called Robitussin Winery. I'm not a wine expert but good grief! My friend wouldn't even touch the port , and wish I hadn't either. If anything we had some hilarious laughs at how bad it was .... sorry folks

Amazing view as you walk in.

Francisco can come across as grumpy or harsh but his passion for wines is evident in every sip you take. It's a "family" Francisco winery meaning it's all him. No frills tasting room but such a great selection. The place has a great view, you can bring your own food, and try some of the most interesting wines ever. I love it!!

Crazy owners. Both yelled at us for parking in the wrong spot. We left before even getting out of the car.

There are not much of any grounds there with the exception of the main building and a small patio area where you can sit and listen to the music if there is music that day. There is a very small menu and we decided to go with the meat board for $16 which included about eight thin slices of meat a few tiny baguettes three tiny pickles and two green olives not worth it in my opinion and have been to other places which offered the same for Less Price and more food. The wine we chose was not very good at all either but it was a very nice day and the music was very enjoyable probably will not be heading back there

Several others were enjoying wine, food and the live music! We ordered 2 wine flights and a yummy fruit and cheese board. Other food is available too. The self guided wine flight included 4 samples, logo wine glass and a description of each wine ($12.00). The Dry Riesling sampler was the highlight! The other sampler wines were pretty good. We did order a glass of the Seyval Blanc and Monet. Both wines were nice. Customer service was pretty good. I know it was a self guided wine flight, but the only improvement would be the outdoor servers having some knowledge of the wine. Clearview Vineyard is located up a twisted hill. Parking is available. A very pleasant way to spend a day!

The live music added a great touch, and it was lovely to relax with friends in the crisp autumn air. Service was friendly, but there were a few letdowns. Seating is limited, so be prepared to stand or get cozy. The cider was underwhelming and not served very cold, which took away from the experience. The charcuterie came in a plastic to-go box and was pretty basic--not quite what you'd expect from such a picturesque setting. Also worth noting: the bathrooms are porta-potties, which might be a dealbreaker for some.

We came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. We opted for the sweet wine flight to share. The wines started off as follows: 1. Waywayanda white 2. Summer fields 3. Harvest time 4. International red 5. Ruby's kiss The first wine was very light and bland tasting for my opinion. My boyfriend loved it and actually bought a bottle of it. Summer fields was sweeter but definitely a lighter style wine. Three tasted like a Christmas season mulled wine but was absolutely delicious. Four was a very dry wine. I left that for my boyfriend to drink as I was not a fan. He enjoyed it and said it was crisp and a nice cold red. Ruby's kiss as always is delicious and a great drink. Taking away a star because we had politely asked our service what the Apple Dave's Distillery was next door and she responded with such attitude and disgust that was asked "that's an entirely separate business" and then abruptly left our table. Not sure what the issue was asking a simple question but it left a weird vibe I did not enjoy.

At that time, the flights were served in "glasses" as they should be. Please see attached photos. -7/4/25 (2nd Visit) We came for the Fourth of July holiday. When we arrived at the winery, we noticed the winery appeared to be much larger. Later, we realized that this was an addition to the original tasting room. We came to the counter. I asked if they had wine flights. The young woman informed me that 4 tastings were $20 and 6 for $30. She was absolutely delightful. So we chose the 6 for $30. This flight was given to us in "plastic containers". I'd like to say that there were quite a few people in the winery. However, I noticed that they didn't order flights. That being said, I think they could've taken the time out to have the flights in glasses. After ther flight, I ordered a "glass"of the Traminette $10. It was served in plastic cup. I did mention to the server that it should be in a "wine glass". She poured the wine from the plastic cup into the glass. (At this point, the plastic negatively affects wine by altering its taste, aroma, and overall quality). I'm sure "management" has given instructions to their employees on how to serve wine flights etc... So I'm not faulting the servers. During our visit, we shared a chicken sandwich. It was very good. All the servers behind the counter were very courteous and sweet. My issue is with the management. I don't know what happened from a couple years ago to now, maybe management change? My photos from almost 3 years ago, show the flight served in glasses, not plastic. Anyway, we did have a very nice visit despite the issue with the plastic. The grounds of the vineyards are very nice to walk about. We did walk back to the original wine tasting building. It was totally refurbished from our original visit. A large picturesque tree stump parking lot is in front of the winery. Oceane Vineyards has a lot of wonderful potential. Some of their wines we thought were good. In fact, we purchased a very nice bottle of 2017 Riesling $30.00. I would've given the winery a higher score, if the flight and glass of wine weren't in plastic.

The…read moreestate is sprawling, with sweeping lawns, a spacious brewery & restaurant housed inside a beautiful converted stable, a tasting room, and of course, vineyards. The tasting room is easy to miss as it's in a house in the back, and felt like we stumbled upon a hidden gem as most people were out by the barn. We arrived before sunset and enjoyed sipping on a flight of 6 wines while watching the sun go down. The views are scenic and serene...one can imagine almost being transported to the hills of Italy. As it was the cusp of twilight, what was really neat was that we got to see the sunset on one side and the moonrise on the other. For our flight, we tried the following wines: Whites: 1. NY Hibernette 2. Cali Chardonnay 3. Riesling Reds: 1. California Rosé 2. California Pinot Noir 3. Cali Cabernet Sauvignon The rosé was probably my favorite, so clear and fragrant, and we took a bottle home. John who I think is the manager (guy with shaved head and goatee) was very personable and came by to check on the customers and chat, and told us a bit about the history of the place. The property is 200 acres and is a passionate project of the owner Tom. There is lots of space for littles to run around and explore, with some games and toys set out for kids. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, and there was a band playing. The rustic aesthetic of the barn is very cool, with several stalls to hang out in if you wanted to retreat to a more private space, and an event hall upstairs. We got nibblish toward the end of the evening and the kitchen was about to close, but they were kind to still take the orders of a couple of late stragglers like us. The food is typical bar fare, good enough for sopping up alcohol. Staff were all kind, welcoming, and accommodating. 5 stars for the fantastic atmosphere, hospitality, and experience. Located near Sugar Loaf and Warwick NY, with plenty to do in the area!

We went here on a random Wednesday afternoon so we basically had the orchard to ourselves. The first parking lot you see is for their store, you have to keep driving up for the u-pick orchard. There you check in to pay your admission fee, get your wristband, and get your apple picking bag(s). They give you a map where the ripe apples are highlighted for you. My favorite apples were the honeycrisp and snap dragons. They grow vegetables too but honestly we didn't explore the orchard that much (it was huge) so the only other thing I picked besides apples was a tomato, which I felt like was pretty difficult to find a good one. I handed out the apples to other friends and colleagues and they all liked them! There's something different about picking the apple straight off the tree than the apples you would normally just buy at a grocery store. It's a lot crispier when you pick them yourself! The store has apple cider doughnuts! Now being that I am a Californian where we don't have this apple picking culture, I was wondering what all the hype around apple cider doughnuts was about. NOW I GET IT they're so good! Unfortunately since we went on a weekday the doughnuts weren't fresh (they make them fresh on the weekends) so some of them were stale, but most were still good. It's honestly more of a cake than a doughnut, but so good! The doughnuts are self serve towards the back. The store also had a cat on the prowl haha We ended up not even having time to visit the petting zoo, but overall I think my colleagues had a good time here and I would recommend this orchard for anyone trying to have a no frills apple picking experience. I believe there was like a building restroom closer to the store and port o potties closer to the u-pick orchard.

We came on a winter day few days after Christmas and they had free samples of apple cider. I got some tea and honey to bring back home to FL. I also bought some apples and they were so soft inside and juicy. Unlike any other apple I've had. I wish I had a way to bring the Amish butter home since a family member has it in their home I often have it with bread in the morning. The staff were friendly, and everything was well-organized. Heads up It's a bit busy during peak times, but that's to be expected at a popular place. But when we came on a Saturday they were practically empty and lady made a joke not to come on the weekends so I assume normally it's a busy day or they dedicate it to stocking up since when we came I saw about 3 of the staff unboxing stuff. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with a charming atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back next season!

Parking was pretty straightforward. You might need to walk a little to the main area, where there's a small fee to enter the non-apple-picking area. It's small but cute. There are some things for kids to climb on, some animals to see, and a good amount of places to sit and eat purchased food and beverages or what you brought in. The apple cider donuts are definitely worth getting, and I was decently satisfied with my pulled pork sandwich. Next time, though, I'd probably just bring my own food. There's a small store with items and snacks for sale (and an ATM). There's also a bar for some seasonal drinks. The apple-picking area you pay by the bag size. Cash only. No wagons allowed - I wish this had been posted better, but apparently it's a new policy since apples were getting stolen. How sad! Lots of apple trees and two very large sections to choose from. Near the parking lot is a small patch of pumpkins. We got two decent-sized ones for $15/each. The area was definitely muddy with all the traffic and rain. Wear your galoshes! By 1pm, when we were leaving, there was a huge line of cars to get in. If I come back, I'll definitely come on the earlier side!
