We asked to be moved due to the crowdedness of that area but was told No because the other tables were by request. I think that's BS! We asked to be seated outside because I was extremely uncomfortable. Every time someone walked beside me, I had to move so they didn't bump into me. The outside was a lot better. It was a beautiful night and not too loud. Spencer was our waitress, and she did an amazing job. She made really good suggestions. Everything we ordered was good. From the meatloaf, seafood mac & cheese, Korean BBQ chicken, BBQ cauliflower, and even the drinks. I would recommend Warren. All the drinks were good. Absolutely loved this place! We came early on a Sunday for lunch and were surprised to see so many folks there already. Lots of people taking advantage of the sunny day to sit outside on the patio. We chose an inside seat -- at the bar -- but it was open to the outside, so we got a view and a breeze, as well. The inside seating main room is wall-filled with liquor bottles from floor to ceiling. It's quite impressive. The restaurant itself is located in a busy strip of stores and restaurants around the corner from the Joseph's market. The parking is around the perimeter of the venues and can get pretty full as the area is quite popular. If you are a drinker, there is an entire notebook of pages and pages of options. It's a fat book with more listings than I've ever seen in any other restaurant or bar. But they still have all the popular cocktails as well plus non-alcoholic choices. As we were there during brunch hours, they also had a few tiers for those who wanted unlimited libations. I just had a very good regular iced tea. We both ordered more lunch type items than breakfast. My husband had their classic burger. It was perfectly cooked and huge -- topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, and a sauce. The meat was a "bone marrow" blend which he said he enjoyed the taste of and there was also white cheddar cheese on the burger. He chose fries as his side. I ordered their buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. I'd ordered the sauce on the side, so they gave me everything on the side in little dishes: a cabbage slaw, a hot sauce, sweet pickles, a ranch sauce, plus ketchup for my well-done fries. I really liked the crispy and tasty coating on the white meat chicken. And I liked the ranch sauce the best of the choices. The portion was large enough for me to take half of it home. I'd definitely get this dish again. It's not an inexpensive menu, but if what we had is any indication of the quality of the food, it's well worth it. If you're watching your spending, I'd recommend trying them for lunch/brunch first. And most portions are large enough to share. We got excellent service from the bartender who waited on us. I recently took my wife to Warren for her birthday. We arrived a little early, so we decided to sit at the bar for a drink and an appetizer--both were excellent. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. When I made the reservation, they asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I mentioned it was my wife's birthday and requested a nice, intimate table. When we returned to the hostess to be seated, she again asked if we were celebrating anything special. I reiterated it was my wife's birthday, but we were then led to one of the only tables directly behind the hostess, of which were in full sunlight. I ended up having to wear sunglasses throughout the entire dinner, which really took away from the atmosphere we were hoping for. On a positive note, the food was outstanding. My wife had the seared sea bass, and I had the pork chop--both dishes were cooked to perfection. However, considering the occasion and the fact that we mentioned it multiple times, I expected the experience to feel a bit more special. Even a small gesture like a complimentary dessert or a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. As business owners in the hospitality industry, we always strive to make our guests feel appreciated with thoughtful touches, especially when they're celebrating something meaningful. That personal touch was missing here, which is why I'm giving this visit four stars instead of five. read more

It is with great disappointment that I have to share this negative review. I've dined at the Warren a few other times and had no complaints. Drinks are always superb. And, this night the drinks were also great. The 1 star is only for that. Everything else that evening was a zero. Maybe it was because it was a Monday evening but the service and food were horrible. The ambiance is always gorgeous and being a restaurant in West Delray it's the only semi upscale place. Charging prices to match their upscale atmosphere is ok but I paid the same amount in South Beach with a better atmosphere. The food was off especially for the price being charged. I ordered the WILD CAUGHT SCOTTISH SALMON - CORN SUCCOTASH, BLISTERED CHERRY TOMATO, CRAB SALAD $48......there is no crab to be found on my dish. Ys the greens of the salad but no crab. It is pretty much a piece of salmon and corn. See photo. The short rib was dry and over cooked. The fish dip tasted off. We sent it back just as pictured but no one offered even as much as an apology. I had to hunt down via looking over at the server 20 times to get my check. Everything was just absolutely amazing here. We shared the ribeye with Mac and cheese and side of lobster and I just was so happy on how good it was. The truffle fries DELICIOUS. Our drinks were really good as well. The service was phenomenal. Our server made sure everything was great. The manager came by the table to make sure everything was good. I went to the Disco Brunch at Warren's Whiskey Bar yesterday and was honestly disappointed. The name made it sound like a fun, lively event, but when we arrived the restaurant was empty and most guests were sitting outside. There was a DJ, but there was no "disco" vibe at all. A comedy of errors is defined as a situation in which many mistakes are made. The phrase, taken from William Shakespeare's famous play of the same name, concerns the farcical misadventure of two sets of identical twins. And is usually not a phrase used to start a restaurant review. We were visiting Delray recently and a family member made a reservation at Warren. She knows that I enjoy a good bourbon now and then, and well, if you've been to Warren, you know that this is the place to go in Delray to get some bourbon! The restaurant itself is not that big. There are actually two bars - on one side is your typical bar filled with all of your regular bottles of alcohol. On the other side? A vast wall of whiskey! It is truly impressive. Which leads me to the first minor issue with Warren. When you're seated you are given both a regular menu and a giant book. Literally a seventy plus page book filled with line after line of various whiskeys and their prices. Bourbons and ryes and scotches, oh my! The selection is rather overwhelming, and a book simply listing the various bottles in alphabetical order with a price next to them does not help anyone - whether novice to expert - assist in selecting one that they might like to drink. I like to think I know a little bit about whiskey - but a large number of the bottles (and distilleries) in the giant book I had never heard of, so I was reluctant to try them. The prices for a lot of the whiskeys were actually pretty good. I've been to other restaurants with large selections and they charge ridiculous prices for any of their whiskeys. Were the Pappy's and EH Taylors expensive at Warren? Yes. But the Basil Hayden's and Bulleits were not. And that's the way it should be. I'm sure that the bartender standing in front of the giant wall of brown liquor would have been helpful in selecting something new and different to try. Our waiter? Yeah, not so much. Which leads me to my second complaint about Warren. Our waiter. Nice enough guy. But did he tell us about any specials? No. (there were some). Did he come by a lot and see how we were doing? No. Did he really seem interested when the food took an extraordinarily long time to arrive? No. Look I get it. Sometimes people have an off night. But he must have been really off. It just was not a good experience from that perspective. Other staff seemed much more engaged and were explaining specials and taking time at their tables. Perhaps our dining experience would have been ok if we only had another server? Doubtful. Why? After complaining about how long it was taking for the food, it seemed like someone in the back decided to try and rush the plates out to us. In bringing out the dishes and sides, one of the servers came up to the table with a plate full of various sauces that go with the short rib dish. And he proceeded to drop them all over the floor. And into his own eye. And onto the clothes of one of the members of our party. It was loud and weird and other servers immediately came and apologized and said that the manager would be coming to speak with us. Ok fine. We looked at the food and another member of our party asked for a spoon to dish out the creamed spinach side that we ordered. I guess feeling bad about the whole dropped sauce thing, our own waiter rushed off to get a spoon. He came back quickly and then proceeded to slip on the sauce on the floor (think banana peel) and crashed into the chair of our sauce covered dining companion. The words, "what is going on here" were coming out of our mouths when the server at the table next to us proceeded to drop a plate on the floor which broke loudly into several pieces. Fortunately it was an empty plate! We nervously tucked into our meals, silently wondering what new issue would arise. As for the food? It was pretty good. I had the salmon. It was well prepared and the corn succotash it comes with was sweet and delicious. The short rib was tasty (yes we did indeed get some new sauces) and another got a burger which she enjoyed. But know that the food is on the pricier side. As we were eating, I noticed that the people at the table on the other side of us were all crouching down and looking on the floor. Why? Apparently their server told them that she had brought the credit card back to them. After a mad hunt for the card, the server sheepishly admitted it was up by the register. The manager did comp some desserts for the table, which was appreciated. The bread pudding was excellent but I thought the peppermint crème brulee was just odd. So how would I describe our dining experience? Perhaps Shakespeare said it best; Unquiet meals make ill digestions. I'm willing to give Warren another try and hopefully the service will be better and errors will be eliminated. read more

Warren has a very nice ambience inside. The outside could use some work. The bartenders were very cordial and welcoming.. We arrived just at the end of happy hour on Saturday. We found two seats outside at the bar. We actually only stopped in to have a drink, but the bartender was kind enough to give us the happy hour menu that was about to expire . He explained that we could get 25% off the starters and I believe the drinks were half price. I ordered a Chardonnay and my daughter ordered a white Russian and both the wine and the white Russian were excellent . We weren't really there for the food, but since we were there, we decided we would give it a try . She ordered the tenderloin tips with the mashed potatoes and onion rings, and I had the calamari.. she said the mashed potatoes were very good. However, the meat was very dry and not tasty at all. I had to calamari and it seemed to be a little either over fried or the oil was getting old but for that type of restaurant that's unacceptable. The sauces that accompanied the calamari would definitely something to be desired. The marinara sauce tasted like it came out of a jar and had no taste whatsoever the easiest thing in the world to make, and this was terrible the other sauce I can't even imagine what it was made. I know it was mayonnaise, but whatever else was added to it gave it a yellow color that perhaps was curry or mustard and it too was tasteless. Neither of these items enhance the calamari. We brought the leftovers home and the steak went in the trash . I tried to crisp me up the calamari.. Warren is trying to promote itself as an upscale restaurant with upscale prices. If it wants to be upscale then make sure you pay attention to all details leaving the kitchen. We live in a very competitive world in order to stay on top you need to compete. I could make those two sauces with my eyes closed and get far better results. read more

The menu is on the pricy side for the area but the portions were appropriate and the taste and presentation made it worthwhile. Steaks are way too expensive and quality in my opinion was not on par with local competition

The Warren has become a local staple in our household. We went through a period of time where it was the only Restaurant we frequented due to its proximity home and the consistent top quality of the food. I also always found that it has perfectly moody ambience. It's almost as if you're in your sophisticated professors home office, and your sophisticated professor collects bourbon. I understand the period between Christmas and new years is the craziest time for any restaurant in south Florida. With that I will give them some grace. However two issues that occurred last night will leave me apprehensive to return. When the waiter read us the specials, two sounded appealing. I asked him if I should do the chicken parm or the salmon. He immediately told me the chicken parm was the way to go. Next, the three other diners in my party ordered their own individual meals. Making it clear I was not ordering for everyone. When the chicken parm came it was a FAMILY SIZE SERVING. The plate had four total chicken parm breasts. At no point did the waiter inform me of this. My sister ordered bolognese. It was delicious. The meaty heartiness from the browned meats, the sweet tang from the rich tomatoes, as well as an herbal kick from the various Italian spices used melted in her mouth. She was raving about it with every bite. She didn't finish her dish and was excited to take it home for another meal! When she got home and opened her to go bag, there was a small box of macaroni and cheese. No one at our table had macaroni and cheese. Besides the fact that she will no longer be able to eat her Bolognese for lunch today she received somebody else's food that had already been in their mouth how unsanitary. "Make a right turn. Make a right turn" so said WAZE as we wandered through this strip mall parking lot. We had come in from the wrong side but once we found the restaurant, WAZE settled down and we settled in for a great night out! Warren is a cozy restaurant that specializes in whiskey. The walls are floor to ceiling with bottles that are under lit and make for a spectacular ambiance. We were seated in a corner with a banquette against the wall. The only odd thing that happened is that due to the walls being active storage for liquor, when they needed a bottle that was over our heads, they climbed around us while we were eating to get to the bottle, which was a little off putting. The menu is varied with plenty of choices for you and your dining companions. We started with the ceviche that was served with plantains which was really flavorful as well as the "KFC" (Korean Fried Chicken) which are little bite sized pieces of chicken glazed and delicious! For our entrees, since there were 4 of us, we got to try a few of the items and surprisingly all were very good. We had the snapper special of the day ($40), the prime beef short rib ($58), the bourbon glazed pork chop ($48) and the chopped salad with salmon ($28). We also had the lobster mac and cheese ($28) which was really a beautiful presentation! Hard to believe we saved room for dessert but we had their bread pudding and it delivered on the promise of what a great bread pudding should be! Service got better as the night went on which was good as originally we all thought our server had a bit of an attitude but maybe once he realized we were there to eat (and tip) his attitude improved! All in, dinner for 4 with 4 drinks ran about $350 before tip so know before you go that this is not just a bar in a strip mall. It's a restaurant with fine dining pricing. We came here on a Thursday night around 7 pm and the place was packed! We stood around the bar around one empty barstool and figured one would open up soon (we could have sat outside but it was chilly and there were no heaters outside so we opted out of that) or we could have had a table inside later on (that didn't happen).
