Food was decent but not exceptional but the attention paid to customers failed miserably. We had a reservation for 630 on Sunday night. When I made the reservation, I specifically said I wanted a two top for my boyfriends birthday. Unfortunately, my family owned a restaurant and I've worked in the food service profession for 15+ years. I know the correct way of doing this business. We arrived to the hostess stand, and the young lady said the party just left and our table would be ready in five minutes. We went and stood in the doorway of the bar and within two minutes I got a text, saying my table was ready and go to the hostess stand. I waited about 10 minutes because we had already spoken to her. I went up and told her I got the text and was I supposed to check in with her again. She said no repeating my name, smiled and gave me no explanation and look down. I walked back to stand by my boyfriend all the while looking at a two top table in the middle of the restaurant empty where the people had left. Another 10 or 15 minutes went by and my boyfriend went up and said you told us our table will be ready in five minutes, and said the party had left and she said "I was mistaken". We decided to go sit at the bar and have a glass of wine after all, and the hostess never returned to offer us our table. We ended up eating at the bar. When we got to the bar the bartenders walked by us numerous times, and never even said hello and finally came and took our drink order after 10 minutes. Our bartender ended up being very nice. The bill came to $150 plus a $30 tip. The food was about average, but I would definitely not return. Had we not had such deplorable service, I might have reconsidered. read more

Definitely a go to if you want to do a whiskey tasting. My Shrimp cocktail was real good and my Char Su ribes were great. The broccolini had a strange taste and the accompanying slaw was too Asian for me. My Whiskey selections were very good (my Wife drove home) We were stuffed so desert was out. My Wife and her brother had lobster rolls which they very much enjoyed. Pricing is BMW (bring more wampum)! My dish was very reasonably priced for such a nice flavorful plate. Warren is a new (several months) high end American restaurant/steak house in West Delray. We all have lower expectations for a new establishment until they have ample time to "get it together". This restaurant operates like a well oiled machine! I was impressed from the minute I entered and was professionally greeted by the hostess team. The restaurant was packed, the air was filled with delicious aromas of great food. The decor is equally impressive looking around you can tell the owners and management team are serious about what they do. We went into the bar area; crowded, but within minutes the bar tender noticed us and had drinks in our hands. They have a separate service bar, so the bartenders can focus on the customers at the bar and are not distracted making drinks for the dinner patrons in the dining room- brilliant idea if you want to achieve great bar service that keeps bringing customers back. The bartenders are incredibly talented, super professional high end experience that is amazing to watch. Anthony's bartending skills could have gotten him the lead role in the movie "cocktails". We decided to eat at the bar. The menu has a variety of meat, fish, chicken, very creative healthy salads and sides. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as ordered. Tender, juicy, and flavorful. The manager, Wayne, introduced himself while we were at the bar waiting for our food. Very nice guy, funny too! He stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. He was talking and introducing himself to most of the customers at the bar and through out the restaurant all night. 2nd visit here on Valentines Day and the place was packed. They offered roses to the women, a nice touch. Valet parking was offered, appreciated on an exceptionally busy night. The food was good. My husband ordered the smoked short rib, it was beautifully presented on a round platter. It was very good. I ordered the filet mignon, which was overcooked. I ordered med-rare and it was done medium. I did not send it back. It was fine. The Banana cheesecake we had for dessert was a winner, creamy and flavorful. In my opinion, the place is too noisy. It is basically an open room with nothing to absorb noise. I also think it is over priced.. My steak was not as well prepared as Morton's or Capital Grill, yet more expensive. The service was good, not exceptional, but it was Valentine's day. Dinner with cocktail, Wine, tax and tip came to $400.00. My bourbon loving husband is always trying to get his hands on some pappy and he was elated when I found this place. They had many different years of pappy with tastings as little as 1 oz. We got to meet the "SPIRITual advisor" named Fitzy who said the 15 year was better than the 20 and he was right! Amazing atmosphere, excellent service (thanks Kirk!), kids menus, and wonderful cocktails for non-bourbon drinkers. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the food was 4 stars, everything else was definitely 5 stars though. Parking was also easy. Very pretty. Food is very good, but they make no effort to add at least one gluten free food appetizer or entree to their menu. They are accommodating to remove items from a salad dish, etc. They also required my credit card for a reservation for two people at 11:30 in the afternoon. I mentioned this to a gentleman who appeared to be the manager. He smiled pleasantly and walked away. The moral of the story is : if you have no allergies or celiac, this is a nice place to dine. What a fantastic Saturday evening. My gf had been raving about this place for weeks, so I figured we should check it out-she really knows her food! Place itself was pretty crowded - they have a fun indoor/outdoor rectangular bar and they play really good music. We started with a bottle of wine and had the ability to listen to awesome live music (people playing musical instruments, while dressed up in these crazy lights). The crowd was super fun! South Florida is like 8 years behind the rest of the country in food trends. This will be a crowd pleaser for the demographic of this area but the concept is tired and everything misses the mark. Why use your whiskey bottles as decoration. Staff climbing over dinner tables is ludicrous, that's why you have a bar. The signature cocktail list is a little bit ridiculous, and overthought. A Paloma is a Paloma because of the recipe. You don't need to add Aperol, it's a great classic cocktail, you're not smarter or cooler than those that came before you. On that topic, if you're going to rim job a large liquor distributor, you should pick better products for your cocktails. If the base spirit sucks so will the resulting cocktail. The food was fine, service sucked. Won't go back. Also felt like it was ripping off Sweetwater which is in Delray closer to the beach. That vibe is authentic. read more

Jekyll and Hyde. Read this review and you will understand. Visited this Restaurant 2 times in 3 weeks. The first visit was an early Friday night and we loved the place. Service was great and food was very good. Good enough to make a brunch reservation before we left. The second visit was the Hyde part of the restaurant. My wife ordered Steak and eggs. When her Steak arrives it looked burnt on one side and raw on the other. A manager actually approached me and asked how everything was. I told him my wife's steak was tough. She took one bit and knew that. The weird part is the manager basically asked the question and never listened to the answer. He dismissed the answer and said it looks a little raw and offered to heat it more. The problem is it was improperly cooked and a bad piece of meat. We left with a to go box with the entire steak. Then I had asked for the pepper sauce on the side of my chicken sandwich. I had the relish on the side and the sandwich was Delicious. However I had asked for the sauce on the Sid because I didn't want it on the sandwich. Halfway thru I started sweating and realized there was pepper relish on the sandwich. I asked what she liked on the menu and she just slammed the menu down and said everything. I get it's busy but service was the worst I've seen. I really didn't want to bother her at that point and I get it's a whiskey bar but she could've been more accommodating than that considering I was waiting for a while and didn't want to be intrusive. It was his birthday and we wanted something special (that would get us back in time for the Jet game - not sure why). But when I saw the Pick Me Up JB cocktail go by, we decided to stay a bit longer and ordered the Key Lime Pie (my husband's favorite) - best dessert combo ever! We're from NY and when we visit FL, we're always looking for a restaurant with great food, service and ambiance - Warren's has it all, as well as a most impressive collection of whiskeys! I have now been to Warrens about 4 times twice at the bar ( which is fine) and twice for dinner , both times a disaster. I want to warn any readers away from this high priced restaurant, unless you are happy to pay a lot for poor service and mediocre food . We ordered a New York strip and Mac and cheese . The steak was very fatty , about 1/3 we could not eat . I expected better from a $68 steak . The Mac and cheese never came . Half way through the steak I asked about the Mac and cheese , no answer. Near the end of the meal I asked again . The waitress then said she forgot to put in the order .she asked if we still wanted it, but we had already finished the steak. A $100 dinner ruined . The waitress did say she was sorry and that she would not charge us for the Mac and cheese . No one else ever came around to apologize or offer any compensation for the botched meal . This problem is they are the only steak house in the neighborhood, so they seem to feel they can get away with a below average experience at high prices I will say we order the pork belly appetizer and it was very good ! Last night, we went to Warren to celebrate our Anniversary. To say that we had a 5 star experience is an understatement. We were seated in their lovely courtyard, surrounded by the buzz of happy customers that were being greeted by their GM. He was personable, acknowledging retuning patrons. When he introduced himself to us, we felt like it was his home, and he was welcoming us in, wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Then, along came Tara, our server. Tara was perfect. It was obvious that she loved her job! From her bubbly spirit, to her knowledge of all menus (the whiskey menu is a novel!) she was able to point us in the right direction. From the pork and apples, along with the deviled eggs, to our main courses and dessert, she landed everything. We left feeling as if we made a new friend! Came for a late lunch on Saturday. We heard this place gets busy so we made a reservation for 2:45 online - which was the latest available option. I assumed all their later times were booked. We checked out their menu and reviews - and we were excited to try Warren. When we arrived it was mostly empty. We sat at the bar and were given the lunch menu - which ends at 3pm. So we really only had a few minutes before the kitchen closed. We didn't realize and wouldn't have come at this time if we knew the kitchen was closing. We were also looking forward to trying more of the dinner menu options. The bartender was super nice. I had the hibiscus Paloma and a head of lettuce for drinks. I wasn't a huge fan of the Paloma - as it had a lot of pomegranate flavor but the head of lettuce was really good. Just a really clean flavor - hard to describe as it's such a unique drink. Definitely worth a try! I had the Warren's damn good burger and my husband had the classic burger. Excellent fries and my damn good burger was amazing. Juicy, flavorful, delicious and messy. Definitely hit the spot. We thought overall everything was really good and we would definitely like to come back for dinner. Our experience didn't blow us away, but maybe a dinner menu with more options would take this from good to great. read more
