Know the difference between over indulgence and being drugged. We were both drugged once before in our lives. Owner Please review the footage at the time of shift change when Cedric was getting off shift. It's obviously too late to help us, but if we could prevent this from happening to anyone else there. Please spread the word. This is a big problem in bars. It's come to having a drink test kits or staying at home to have some drinks. Unfortunately, there are some evil people out there. Please help people if you see someone like this don't assume they have had too much they may need to get to a hospital . . People die, have seizures and of course we all know how easy to be assaulted when so incapacitated . *^**Response from owner was that I should not have spoken out publicly but reached out to contact him privately . my response was that I wanted to send a loud and clear message to the perpetrator( all fun and games until the FELOny charges ) to not do this again in your bar and owner suggested that perhaps it happened somewhere else and this and that this has never occurred in his establishment 26 years, however we went nowhere before or afterwards. Also, owner stated bartender, said we left we were walking steadily that we looked fine when we left when actually I was a zombie with no recollection of leaving. This is the hallmark of being roofied. if I was" blackout drunk", which I would've had to have been to not recall anything after 30 min in your bar or leaving or 8 hours to follow. I would not have been "walking steadily" as you stated. Unfortunately, denying this actually happened or staying quiet is not the way to try to fix this problem. It is very widespread.. in California some years back they passed a law that bars must post signs to raise awareness of being roofied and offer drink spike test kits at cost as a bar owner please do all you can to ensure what is within your control this does not happen again in your bar educate yourself and staff what to look for and what to do ALSo ... since you just announced publicly you have a poor video monitoring system and apologized you could provide me any info ... that is more for an owner who has a lot more to lose if his staff or patrons are drugging patrons YOU stand to lose a lot more if there is a bad outcome ( ie death by choking ala Elvis style) . Food for thought . All this aside I think the in between is a super karaoke cool bar at least what I remember .

So here is my original post w/inappropriate content removed or changed with more appropriate verbiage. DO NOT GO TO THIS RACIST PLACE!!! I WOULD GIVE IT NO STARS IF I COULD!! WHY? A group of us went to Wang Chung's to celebrate a farewell on Saturday June 15 2013. We weren't in this place 5 minutes before this guy shouted to his buddy who was getting ready to sing to "sing the song like a racial epithet used towards African Americans. He preceded to say the racial epithet two more times. Being African American, I was in disbelief and looked around like are you kidding me? Members of our group were equally astounded but since there were only two African Americans present in this very small space, we were the only ones truly offended. Do you think the bartenders or owner said anything? Of course not, because it was all about selling the alcohol. DO NOT GO TO THIS RACIST PLACE!!! This same sorry individual air pinched a member of our party behind his back. How mature!! After leaving this sorry racist place, I verbally confronted the drunken, gay, man and of course he couldn't say anything. If you want to sing karaoke, don't go to this place!! This bar has all the gangstas. You know the gangstas who sing karaoke. The bartenders over-serve their customers because there is always someone out front puking on the street. All the customers are rude and stand on the private property next to the bar/hotel yelling and screaming all night long. The locals who live there must always call the police cause the customers are rude and threaten their lives when they tell them to be quiet. Their rude local customers stand 3 feet from the window of the apartment next door! All the other bars close before 12 in this area but this one doesnt. This bar has no security and all the drunkards who think the are gangstas yell at the locals until they must call the police on them since the staff never handles their rude customers at all. One man threatened a local next door and said he lived here for 12 years and he will bring his friends to kill him, then he ran away before the police came. I would never support a business that is so rude to their neighbors. This bar ruins the hotel as well. Dont stay at the hotel if you want to get any sleep at all due to the rude customers and the greed of the jerk owners of their trashy-ass bar read more

I had such a fun time at Wang Chung's. I went with 2 other friends on a late Thursday afternoon, we were looking to sing our faces off with the help of a few adult beverages. They have FREE karaoke offered everyday from 2pm-8pm. Our bartender, Dan, was super friendly and sang 80's songs with us. It's a small place and pretty intimate but the people who were there were very nice, we all sang-along and encouraged others to sing. They didn't have any food service but there is a sushi restaurant next door that you could order from and bring back to the bar. Drink prices were pretty reasonable, I remember beer running between $3.50-$5 and well drinks were about $6. I would definitley recommend this place to anyone willing to throw caution to the wind and have fun. read more

As we were planning our trip to Hawaii we googled things to do in Hawaii, and Wang Chung's Karaoke bar came up, so we decided that it was one of the things we wanted to visit. So here we are in Hawaii and we have visited them three times in a matter of 5 days. Each time has been an ultimate experience. The bartenders of Brian and Jason made us feeel welcome as did the patrons. The talent of some of the patrons was astounding and the atmosphere was friendly, fun and exhilarating. Never had so much fun as i did in this karaoke bar.Something you have to experience yourselves while here ih Oahu. Back tomorrow night for our last night here in Hawaii. I remember the cute little back corner bar that they used to have, and I'm so glad Dan, the owner, could upgrade to a larger more fabulous space a few doors down the block! You can drink You can karaoke You can get yummy food in Chinese take out boxes from Mexican Randy You can find out what's in your misfortune cookie You can make friends with random strangers at this super friendly gay bar You can pee while staring at the Flash, Superman & Batman showering It's a great time there, I swear! This is a MUST for anyone visiting Waikiki's has got to be the friendliest bar on earth. The atmosphere is so laid back and the karaoke is horrendously good fun. A non stop laugh from arriving to leaving. Dan and his crew certainly know how to entertain. Recommend getting there relatively early as the place is small and gets packed to the rafters very quickly. Try the Vodka Lychee's. MG!! Oh my goodness, their soju is off the hook good!!! We tried every flavor on the menu, All was fantastic. Scotty asked if we wanted to try an off the menu concoction, I'm down! Oh my, it was delicious and is now my favorite drink. He called it a pineapple cream, or pineapple dream. I can't really recall as we did just try all the soju. Was attending regularly until one time a pretty nasty guy was sexually harassing 3 separate groups of women, making obscene gestures and following them around aggressively. I strongly believe management needs to take this complaint seriously, investigate what happened, review any available security footage, and take appropriate disciplinary action. We were having a good time, until we were told that we needed to end our dart game early because the machines closed at 8pm. I was surprised and never came across an Irish pub turning off their dart machines before a kids bedtime. It's not like the bar was closing or doing last calls. It wasn't really a busy night but wasn't dead either. Guess there's a first for everything. Most importantly, WE WERE NEVER TOLD about this and we were there playing for maybe a couple hours?? (ALSO... It would've been nice to know before we put money in the machine.) I explained to the server that we weren't told about the dart machines & if there's a way for us to get our money back. Her response was: If it'll make you FEEL better. Wth... no girl, it's not about my feelings, good grief, let's not get Oprah about this, mmmkay? It's about what's RIGHT. We eventually got our money back but not before I caught the eyeroll, which was the cherry to this one and only experience we're going to have here. What stink attitude. If we knew the rules, no problem but to make us feel weird about it when we're out here celebrating? Debbie downer much?
